1 The fllwing guide cntains the wrkstatin setup instructins fr the Eclipse Manifest Cmpanin Prduct. Prerequisites Manifest Prcessr uses cde that reads barcdes t prcesses signature frm printed manifest t rder in Eclipse. T get the signatures t prcess, the fllw requirements must be met. The scanner must Create.tif r.mtif images Create black and white images (1-bit) Create dpi images Create CCITT 3 r 4 images (als called FAX3 r FAX4). Cmpressin rating, mst fax scanners have this ability. Be able t create these images in a directry accessible by the PC Installatin Steps 1. Verify yu are lgged int the PC as a Lcal Admin. 2. Dwnlad and Run the latest Manifest Prcessr install file. This can be dwnladed frm the Online Supprt center - flder=%2fmanifest+prcessr (yu will have t lg in first). NOTE: If installing n a Windws 7 cmputer perfrm a right click > Run As Administratr. 3. Select Next n the Welcme screen. 1

2 4. Select Install n the Ready t Install screen. 5. Select Finish when the install cmpletes. 6. Yu can nw pen Manifest Prcessr frm Start > All Prgrams > Eclipse > Manifest Prcessr Yu can add this prgram t the Desktp by perfrming a right click > Send T > Desktp 2

3 7. Create a flder n yur lcal C: drive called InBasket (C:\InBasket). Cnfigure yur scanner t place the.tif images in this flder. This flder des nt have t be n the C: drive, but the scanner des need t create.tif images in a shared flder n the Netwrk. If the scanner creates images n a netwrk share yu will need t map a netwrk drive t this shared Flder. Then pint Manifest Prcessr applicatin t this shared flder. This flder cannt be n the same server as yur Strage IDs. 8. Verify Manifest Prcessr is pinting t this flder where the images are stred. 9. Once Manifest Prcessr is installed select Tls > Optins t pint Manifest Prcessr t yur Eclipse server. 3

4 10. The Eclipse Hst is the IP address r DNS name f yur Eclipse server. The Service Prt is Once this infrmatin is entered yu can perfrm a Test Cnnectin. If the test fails yu have entered the incrrect IP address r name f yur Eclipse server. Open a request with the Eclipse Cmpanin Supprt Team if yu need assistance determining this infrmatin. 11. Yu are nw ready t print ut a Manifest frm Eclipse and cnfigure the Crpping Lcatin. The printed Manifest needs t cme frm a laser printer (nt dt matrix), with a gd tner cartridge. This needs t be a crisp clear image in rder fr Manifest Prcessr t read the barcde. Any pixilatin r bleeding f the barcde may cause misreads. Example f a barcde that will read Example f a barcde that will nt read 4

5 12. Setting up the Crpping Lcatin Scan yur printed Manifest int a lcal flder (Ex. C:\InBasket flder), Click n the.tif image t highlight that image Select Tls > Crpping Lcatin Tl Cnfiguring the Crpping Lcatin ensures the crrect signature will g with the crrect barcde. In the Crpping Lcatin utility highlight the signature area next t the green barcde, then click n Calculate. It helps t maximize this utility s it is easier t read. Next enter the numbers frm the Calculate screen int Eterm frm the Manifest Settings menu, F2 System > F System Files > G Manifest SettinGs. 5

6 In the Prfile/New field enter the imaging prfile being used fr manifest signatures. This can be determined by viewing the Cntrl File E- Manifest Signature Dcument Prfile, F2 System > F System Files > C Cntrl Maintenance > Keywrd: E- Manifest Sig 13. Manifest Prcessr is nw installed, and the crpping lcatin has been cnfigured. If yu have questins abut hw t cnfigure the scanner t meet the Eclipse requirements please cntact the manufacturer f the scanner yu are using. 6
