2 Heartbeat LED Light The main functins f the heartbeat light are as fllws: - The heartbeat light indicates pwer t the cntrller. It will blink n and ff steadily every 2 secnds during nrmal peratin. - The heartbeat light crrespnds t the pace displays main menu and sub menu when setting maps fr the swim current and treadmill. - The heartbeat light will blink patterns when the cntrller detects a prblem r errr. Green LED lights Green LED lights are lcated twards the bttm f the receiver bard. All 4 green LEDS shuld light up when the cntrller is pwered. Pl/Treadmill Switch The pl / treadmill switch sets the speed range (PRV) and maps fr the prduct purchased. If the EP3 cntrller is being used fr a swim current, the switch must be set twards the SW3 text n the receiver bard. If the cntrller is being used fr a treadmill, the switch must be set away frm the SW3 text n the receiver bard. If this switch is adjusted after pwer has been supplied t the cntrller, yu MUST press the pwer reset buttn r reset the breaker fr the change t take effect. Remte Cntrl Learn Buttn Main functin is t clear r prgram a remte cntrl t the receiver bard. The EP3 Cntrller is als equipped with an external learn buttn (red buttn) lcated n the underside f the cntrller s enclsure which functins the same as the internal learn buttn. - T clear a remte cntrl frm the receiver bard, press and hld the learn buttn until the remte cntrl led light turns n and starts blinking rapidly. Cntinue hlding the learn buttn until the led light ges ut. - T prgram a remte cntrl t the receiver bard, press and hld the learn buttn until the remte cntrl led light turns n. Once the led light is n release the learn buttn and press any buttn n the remte cntrl. Yu will see the led light blink twice and then turn ff. Repeat the prgramming sequence fr the secnd remte cntrl. Remte Cntrl LED Light LED light fr the remte cntrl learn buttn (internal r external) and remte cntrl. This LED will light up when clearing/prgramming a remte cntrl r when any buttn is pressed n the remte cntrl. Pwer Reset The pwer reset buttns main functin is t reset r suspend pwer t the receiver bard. Pressing the reset buttn is the same as resetting the breaker. This buttn shuld be pressed befre setting maps fr the pace display and after reslving any errr the cntrller detects in rder t clear the errr cde. Wi-fi/Factry Reset Buttn This buttn has multiple functins. It serves as bth a Wi-fi Reset and a Factry Reset. - Wi-fi Reset This functin will reset the wi-fi netwrk that the cntrller creates if the mbile device cannt lcate the netwrk. - Press and hld the wi-fi/factry reset buttn until the heartbeat light starts blinking slwly. As the heartbeat light is blinking slwly, the cntrller is creating a netwrk which shuld appear in yur available wi-fi netwrks list n yur mbile device. - Factry Reset A factry reset will clear all selected settings and default back t the cntrller s factry settings. Fr pace display this means it will default t percentage mde. The wi-fi netwrk will default back t EPCONTROLLER with the default passwrd swimcurrent. This functin shuld be used if the cntrller freezes, pace display is stuck in a map, r unable t cnnect t wi-fi netwrk. - Press and hld the wi-fi/factry reset buttn until the heartbeat light starts blinking rapidly. Once it starts blinking, remve yur finger frm the buttn.

Press the pwer reset buttn n bth cntrllers receiver bards Heartbeat light errr 2 (2 blinks, ff fr 5 secnds) Bth cntrllers pl/treadmill switches are set the same way Set the swim current cntrllers pl/treadmill switch twards the SW3. Set the treadmill cntrllers pl/treadmill switch away frm the SW3. Press the pwer reset buttn n bth cntrllers receiver bards Heartbeat light errr 3 (3 blinks, ff fr 5 secnds) Open flat switch circuit Verify all flat switch cnnectins at the receiver bard and flat switch are cnnected Check fluid level and add fluid if needed. Press the pwer reset buttn n the cntrllers receiver bard (r bth bards if present) Swim Current is nt resetting t last saved speed when HPU is turned ON Treadmill nt resetting t lwest speed when HPU is turned ON Pl/Treadmill switch is in the wrng psitin Bard malfunctin Pl/Treadmill switch is in the wrng psitin Receiver bard malfunctin Set the pl/treadmill switch twards the SW3 and press the pwer reset buttn n the cntrllers receiver bard Replace receiver bard Set the pl/treadmill switch away frm the SW3 and press the pwer reset buttn n the cntrllers receiver bard Replace receiver bard

8 Treadmill des nt start at its lwest speed OR the treadmills tp speed is limited t 50% (Tandem cntrller nly) The initial set up (master-slave) cnfiguratin was dne incrrectly Set the pl/treadmill switch away frm the SW3 n the treadmill receiver bard. Set the pl/treadmill switch twards the SW3 n the swim current receiver bard. Perfrm a factry reset by pressing and hlding the Wi-fi/factry reset buttn fr abut 30 secnds n bth the treadmill and swim current receiver bards. When hlding the buttn, the heartbeat light will blink slwly and will then start blinking rapidly. Let g f the buttn nce the rapid blinking starts. This will reset the master-slave cnfiguratin. Replace receiver bard

Press the pwer reset buttn n the cntrllers receiver bard Set dip switch 1 in the ON (UP) psitin. Press the pwer reset buttn n the cntrllers receiver bard Verify the bard t bard cmmunicatin cable is cnnected between the tw cntrllers. Press the pwer reset buttn n bth cntrllers receiver bards Set the swim current cntrllers pl/ treadmill switch twards the SW3. Set the treadmill cntrllers pl/treadmill switch away frm the SW3. Press the pwer reset buttn n bth cntrllers receiver bards E03 n display screen Open flat switch circuit Verify all flat switch cnnectins at the receiver bard and flat switch are cnnected Check fluid level and add fluid if needed. Press the pwer reset buttn n the cntrllers receiver bard (r bth if present)

10 EP3 Wi-Fi/App General Trubleshting Prblem Cause Slutin Wi-Fi card is nt installed prperly Pwer was nt reset after the wi-fi card installatin The cntrller is nt creating a netwrk (EP Cntrller is nt appearing as an available wi-fi netwrk n yur mbile device) Difficulty finding swim current r treadmill during initial setup Can t cnnect EP3 cntrller t hme netwrk after initial setup App is functining prperly but swim current/treadmill is nt The App setup was dne incrrectly The App setup is incmplete r incrrect - The name f the netwrk r passwrd may be spelled incrrectly r may cntain a wrng case letter Check t make sure the wi-fi card is installed prperly. ALL pins n the wi-fi card need t align with the hles n the wifi cards receptacle n the receiver bard Press the pwer reset buttn n the cntrllers receiver bard t reset the cntrller Press the Start Over buttn in the App t start ver the quick set up utility. Chse the prduct present. If there s nly a swim current present, select SWIM CURRENT. If there s nly a treadmill present, select TREADMILL. If bth a swim current and treadmill are present, select BOTH Search fr EP Cntrller in yur mbile devices wi-fi settings. If EP Cntrller is nt present, perfrm a wi-fi reset by pressing and hlding wi-fi rest buttn n the bard. Lcate the netwrk EP Cntrller. The default passwrd is swimcurrent Dem Mde Turn ff Dem Mde and run quick set up utility
