3 1. Launching the C9 Trader Installatin f the C9 Trader applicatin n yur cmputer places an icn n yur desktp s that yu can access Clud9. Duble-click n the C9 Trader icn t start the applicatin. 2. Lgging in t Clud9 T begin using Clud9, lg in with yur unique username and passwrd. The first time yu lg in, enter the username and passwrd prvided in the welcme sent by Clud9. The passwrd yu received is temprary, and yu will need t change it t a persnalized passwrd f yur chice. There are als tw ptins yu can select when lgging in: Save Passwrd: If selected, yur credentials will autfill when yu lg in. Wrking Remtely: Select if yu are wrking frm a lcatin utside f yur ffice r desk. 4 3. Clud9 Hme Screen Once yu re successfully lgged int the C9 Trader, yu will see the fllwing windw, with buttns representing cnnectins t yur cunterparties displayed. C9 Trader Hme Screen 3.1 Cntrl Panel The Cntrl Panel, t the left f yur main screen, cntains buttns that enable yu t access setting and cnfiguratin capabilities fr yur C9 Trader Hme Buttn When lgged int Clud9, the hme screen displays by default. Cnfiguring buttns and varius settings will pen new windws and menus. Clicking the Hme buttn will bring users back t the main screen f the applicatin Cmmunity Buttn Selecting the Cmmunity buttn pens the Clud9 Cmmunity windw, which enables users t prvisin cnnectins t firms and rganize their buttns. 5 3.1.3 Micrphne Cntrl Buttn This buttn allws enables users t tggle t an established micrphne device fr use during current speaker call. When the micrphne is in use, a vlume meter will display, shwing the level f sund being transmitted Handset Cntrl Buttn This buttn enables the user t tggle t an established handset device fr use during a call that is being bradcast thrugh a speaker. When the handset is in use, a vlume meter will display, shwing the level f sund transmitted thrugh the device Privacy Cntrl Buttn This buttn will nly be available if a user has the privacy feature enabled fr their accunt by their administratr. This buttn tggles privacy settings n and ff. (See Sectin 6.2 fr mre details) Settings Buttn This buttn pens the Settings menu n the right side f the hme windw. The Settings menu (see Sectin 3.5) allws a user t set their preferences in yur C9 Trader Call Histry Cntrl Buttn This buttn displays a user s Call Histry in the bttm half f the applicatin, and shws all f the call events that have ccurred fr the user since they have lgged int the service Click t Call Buttn The Click t Call buttn pens a separate windw where users can cnduct ne-n-ne calls, using dialing capabilities, t any desk phne r mbile phne. (See Sectin 5.1 fr mre details) Master Vlume The user can cntrl the vlume f the C9 Trader applicatin using the slider n the Master Vlume buttn. This is always relative t the master vlume f the C9 Trader when the user lgs in and will nt affect the vlume f any ther applicatins. This icn als has a receive level indicatr that lights up when a user receives a call Call Release Cntrl Buttn The Call Release buttn enables a user t end an active call. 6 3.2 Buttn Presence Each buttn displayed n yur main screen represents a cunterparty. Yu can initiate a call t a cunterparty via a shutdwn r a ringdwn. Each buttn prvides the user with presence status abut their cunterparty and whether a current vice call is in prgress Buttn Subscribers C9 Buttn types and status indicatins The C9 Trader makes it easy t see the subscribers assciated with each f yur buttns. When a buttn has up t tw active subscribers, their names will display n the buttn. When a buttn has three r mre active subscribers, the buttn will display the number f users wh are cnnected. T view the full list f peple wh are cnnected t a buttn, yu can right click n that particular buttn and it will pen up a list that includes all currently cnnected parties by bth first and last name When yu are speaking, yur name will be displayed n the buttn s everyne else cnnected can see wh is speaking. 7 3.2.2 Aut Cnnect Buttns can be set t Aut Cnnect which establishes a cnstant pen audi path as lng as this feature is enabled. Aut Cnnect is particularly useful if yur firm has tw ffice lcatins and want t listen t the activity ccurring in the ther ffice. T enable Aut Cnnect, right click n the buttn f the cunterparty t establish a cnnectin and select the Aut Cnnect Off ptin. This will checkmark Aut Cnnect int the n psitin. Enable Aut Cnnect An pen audi path is nw enabled, and will flash green n yur end and red n the far-end. T disable Aut Cnnect, right click n the buttn and deselect the Aut Cnnect ptin. 8 3.3 Buttn Vlume Instead f adjusting the master vlume n yur cmputer, speakers, r by using the Master Vlume buttn, yu have the ability t adjust the vlume f individual buttns. This gives yu mre cntrl ver which f yur cunterparties yu want t hear at a given time. When hvering yur muse ver any f yur buttns (active r inactive) yu will see a scrll bar appear n the right f the buttn. This indicates the vlume setting fr that cnnectin. Yu can adjust the vlume by either using the scrll-wheel t increase/decrease the vlume r by clicking and dragging the slider. When yu mute yur cunterparty by reducing their vlume belw an audible level, a red indicatr will display n the buttn. Nte: If using an 8 r 16 buttn bard, buttn yur vlume may als be adjusted via the vlume knbs n the bard. 3.4 Grup Bradcast Buttns In additin t shuting t a single cunterparty, Grup Bradcast buttns, lcated at the bttm f the C9 Trader, enable yu t shutdwn t multiple cnnectins at nce. When a Grup Bradcast buttn is selected, it will pen yur micrphne t all f the mapped buttns. If yur cunterparty respnds, the cnversatin is still ne t ne. 9 Drp Functinality: When shuting dwn t a grup f assigned cunterparties, yu can discnnect frm a specific cunterparty by clicking n the buttn assigned t that cunterparty. This will discnnect that line withut discnnecting all the cunterparties assciated with the grup. This functin is imprtant in a scenari where yu are shuting ut t a grup f individuals and wuld like t drp a participant frm the activity in prgress. Add Functinality: When shuting dwn t a grup f assigned cunterparties, yu can als add a new cunterparty t the grup by clicking n the buttn crrespnding t that cunterparty. The new cunterparty is added t the grup bradcast fr the sessin that bradcast is active. As sn as the grup bradcast has been unselected, the added cunterparty will n lnger be part f any future cnversatins using that grup bradcast buttn. Creating a Dynamic Grup: Users can select an empty grup bradcast buttn and dynamically add up t ten cunterparties t create an imprmptu grup bradcast. Once the bradcast has ended, that grup bradcast buttn will reset. Nte: Turning n Multi-Press (Sectin 3.5.1) will disable the ability t use an empty grup bradcast t create a dynamic grup, Details n the setup f a Grup Bradcast buttn are lcated in Sectin Settings Menu Many f the features f the C9 Trader can be cntrlled by the Settings menu. Clicking n the Settings buttn within the cntrl panel will display the Settings menu n the right side f the applicatin. 10 Selecting any f these menu items will expand the display, and allw yu t access and adjust yur ptins Applicatin Settings The Applicatin Settings tab enables yu t set sme f yur persnal preferences fr yur C9 Trader. The Recrd My Calls setting displays whether r nt yur user accunt has call recrding turned n r ff. This ptin cannt be changed within the applicatin itself. Please cntact yur system administratr if yu need t have yur call recrding ptin adjusted. Aut Start determines whether the C9 Trader will start autmatically upn turning n yur cmputer r device. Aut Lgin will enable yu t bypass the lgin windw and autmatically lgin using yur persnal credentials. Nte: In rder fr Aut Lgin t wrk, yu must have the save passwrd ptin selected n the lgin screen. Applicatin Settings The Always On Tp setting enables yu t cntrl whether the C9 Trader applicatin windw always appears n tp f ther applicatins r if it can be placed behind ther applicatin windws running n yur cmputer. Click t Call Aut Start determines whether r nt Click t Call will register autmatically when users lg in t the C9 Trader. This enables users t receive incming calls even if the Click t Call windw has nt been launched. Please nte, Aut Start must be switched t the n psitin r inbund calls will nt be received. The Click t Call Launch Windw prvides the ptin fr the Click t Call windw t autmatically launch when the user lgs in t their C9 Trader. In the scenari that the Click t Call windw is minimized and the user receives and incming call, a ntificatin will display, and the user must select the ntificatin t answer the call. Please nte, Aut Start must be switched t the n psitin. Enabling Multi-Press allws a Clud9 user t randmly select and unselect shut dwn cnnectins t create a dynamic grup bradcast. In the Applicatin Settings menu, users can tggle between the current single-press (ff) and new multi-press (n) functinality. 11 3.5.2 Bradcast Grups Bradcast Grups enables yu t set up and name yur Grup Buttns, used t shut t multiple cunterparties at nce. Users can create up t fur different grups. The first drp dwn menu enables yu t select which f the fur grups yu want t edit. Yu als have the ability t rename is grup within the textbx. Please nte that grup names can nly cnsist f alpha-numeric characters. Up t ten different buttns can be assigned t a grup. Thse buttns are selected via the drp dwn menus belw the grup buttn name. Only cnnectins that are currently n yur user interface will be selectable. Grups are autmatically saved nce each selectin is made. Nte: Ringdwn cnnectins cannt be assigned t a grup Audi Devices Usage f the applicatin requires a micrphne and speaker. The Audi Devices sectin f the settings menu will enable t yu select thse devices and cnfigure them s that yur vice is being transmitted clearly. The sectin is brken dwn int three segments: Micrphne Audi, Handset Audi and Ntificatin & Alert Devices. Bradcast Grups Settings The Micrphne Audi segment cntrls the cnfiguratin fr yur default micrphne and speakers being used with the applicatin. Yu can select yur default micrphne and speaker devices via their respective drp dwn menus. Yu can adjust the vlume f yur micrphne using the slider belw the micrphne drp dwn t suit yur envirnment and ensure n backgrund nise is picked up. Additinal audi bst can als be added t amplify yur vice nce it s picked up by the micrphne. The Handset Audi settings enable yu t cnfigure a handset if yu chse t use ne. Similar t the micrphne audi, yu will have t select bth the micrphne and speaker that are assciated with the handset. Again, the vlume can be adjusted t fit the surrunding envirnment. 12 In the Micrphne and Handset sectins yu als have the ptin t select a default device fr respnding t shutdwn calls. All incming audi will be received n the speaker, and, if yu wuld prefer t respnd with a handset n these calls, yu can change the default setting using the Default Device radi buttn. If yu d nt make a selectin, yur micrphne will autmatically be the default device. Yu can als still tggle between yur micrphne and handset fr individual calls at any time. In the Ntificatin & Alert Device segment, yu can select the device that will transmit a ring when smene is signaling n a ringdwn cnnectin. Imprtant Nte: If a device is in use n the C9 Trader, then it will nt be available fr selectin r use n Click t Call. The device will be greyed ut in the drp dwn Ntificatins Ntificatin ptins allw yu t adjust the type f ring and ntificatins yu receive when using the applicatin. On Hk State refers t when yur applicatin is in an idle state and yu re nt engaged in cnversatin with cunterparties. The ring ptins determine the duratin f the ring when a cunterparty is cnnecting t yu via a ringdwn buttn. Yu have the ptin t turn the ring ntificatin ff, be alerted with nly a single ring, r have the applicatin ring cntinuusly until yu either answer r the cunterparty hangs up. The default setting is cntinuus ring. Off Hk State refers t when yu re actively engaged with a cunterparty. Similar t the n hk state, this ptin will determine the duratin f the ringer when a cunterparty attempts t reach yu via a ringdwn buttn. The default fr this ptin is set t single ring. Bth n hk and ff hk states have varius ring tnes that can be selected frm the drpdwn menus in each sectin. Belw the ring ptins fr the applicatin are settings t adjust the ppup ntificatins that appear n yur desktp when the applicatin windw is clsed and running in the backgrund: Ntificatins Ringdwn Pp-up: This ptin allws yu t receive pp up tast messages when the C9 Trader applicatin windw is clsed and call activity ccurs n ringdwn buttns Shutdwn Pp-up: This ptin allws yu t receive pp up tast messages when the C9 Trader applicatin windw is clsed and call activity ccurs n speaker buttns Pp-up Ntificatin Page 11 f 24 Clud9 Technlgies, LLC. 13 The Activity Indicatr Delay setting is lcated at the bttm f the menu. This setting determines hw lng a buttn will flash n yur interface nce a call has ended if it ges unanswered. The default is set t three secnds but yu can select a range frm 0-60 secnds Buttn Bard Instead f using the muse t engage yur buttns, yu can pt t use a buttn bard. There are many benefits t using the buttn bard, the main ne being speed and efficiency. Buttn bards cnnect t yur cmputer via USB and cme in three sizes 8, 16, r 24 buttns. The buttn bard acts independently f the applicatin when it is first plugged in. Yu need t map the buttns yu want t use t the bard. This is dne by selecting Buttn Bard within the Settings menu. The bard size will autmatically be detected by the Clud9 applicatin, and the Buttn Bard Cnfiguratin windw mirrring yur device will display n the bttm f yur C9 Trader Screen. Fr each buttn displayed in the windw, click the drp dwn menu and select the cnnectin yu wuld like t assign t that buttn. On the 8 and 16 buttn bard, in additin t assigning individual buttn cnnectins, yu can select grup buttns, assign a call release buttn - which enables yu t press a buttn t end a call, r assign a handset tggle buttn - which enables yu t press a buttn t switch t a handset. Buttn Bard Cnfiguratin On the 24 buttn bard, yu can assign grup bradcasts t buttns as well as designate a Flat buttn n yur bard. A Flat buttn hlds space n yur buttn bard fr incming calls frm ther pages n the bard, s yu can access them easily. The 24 Buttn Bard als features fixed functin keys that supprt handset tggle, call release, as well as arrws that allw fr navigatin n the bard. On all buttn bards, buttns can be set up t be either mmentary r latching: Mmentary (default): Push t talk, the micrphne is pen while yu hld the buttn dwn. Latching: One push will pen the micrphne (n hlding necessary) and anther push will clse it. Ringdwns, which can be assigned n the 24 buttn bard, can nly be set as latching. 14 3.5.6 Technical Supprt Clud9 s custmer service and supprt team is available 24/7 t help yu with any questins yu may have abut Clud9. Clicking n the technical supprt ptin within the settings menu will pen a new addressed t the Clud9 supprt staff at helpdesk@c9tec.cm. The will be pened using the default prgram set by yur Windws perating system. The itself will have the address and subject already filled ut fr yu. All yu need t d is fill ut the bdy f the , prviding as much detail as pssible abut the prblem yu are having. All s sent t Clud9 s supprt staff are answered within 24 hurs, with many issues finding reslutin in under five minutes Abut C9 Trader Clicking Abut C9 Trader displays infrmatin abut the current versin f sftware yu are running. Sme f the infrmatin displayed here might be useful in trubleshting any service-related issues yu may be having Help Abut C9 Trader Clicking Help redirects users t the Clud9 Supprt Knwledge Base, which cntains helpful vide tutrials, step by step guides, and articles abut every feature f the C9 Trader and Prtal Exit Clicking Exit will fully clse the applicatin and lg yu ut f the service. Befre exiting, a cnfirmatin displays t ensure that this is a deliberate actin. Nte: Clicking the X icn in the tp right f the applicatin windw will nt clse the applicatin. 15 4. The Clud9 Cmmunity The Clud9 Cmmunity is the main feature f the C9 Trader applicatin. Access t the Clud9 Cmmunity allws yu t cnnect with ther firms instantly. Frm the Cmmunity windw yu can request cnnectins t ther participating firms and instantly prvisin new buttns, accept requests frm ther firms, and rganize yur C9 Trader Buttns. There are fur main tabs: Create Invitatin New Invitatins Cnnectins My Buttns 4.1 Create Invitatins The first tab in the cmmunity display allws yu t search fr and cnnect with available firms and trading grups. Yu can scrll thrugh, r use the search functin t find listed firms in the Cmmunity. When yu find the firm yu are lking fr, click the Invite buttn t create an invitatin. Chse what kind f cnnectin will be established, shutdwn r ringdwn, and what the buttn label will be fr yur firm as well as the cunterparty s firm. 16 4.2 New Invitatins The New Invitatins tab displays all new cnnectin requests that have been created within the last 24 hurs. These cnnectins can be accepted and added as an active buttn n yur interface. If nt accepted after 24 hurs, the cnnectin will n lnger be listed in this sectin f the cmmunity display. Instead, they will be mved t the cnnectins tab. Cnnectin details Accept an invitatin Accepting An Invitatin 4.3 My Cnnectins The third tab displayed n the Cmmunity Windw lists all f the cnnectins that are available fr the user t cnvert int active buttns. An active buttn can be a shutdwn r ringdwn cnnectin and can be used fr internal cmmunicatins within the firm, r used t cmmunicate with traders in external firms. 17 4.4 My Buttns The last tab in the cmmunity windw enables yu t manage all f yur cntact buttns. On this tab yu can: Rerder Buttn Layut: Click and drag a buttn t change its lcatin n yur C9 Trader. Relabel Buttns: Type the new name in the label field at the bttm f the screen. Delete Buttns: Click the trashcan icn n any buttn. Get Detailed Subscriber Infrmatin fr Each Buttn: Select a buttn, and infrmatin including the name f the buttn, buttn type, and users that share the cnnectin will appear at the bttm f the screen. Set Psitinal Audi: C9 Trader users can assign individual buttn audi t be transmitted frm the left, center, r right speakers. T enable psitinal audi, yur administratr will need t cntact the Clud9 Helpdesk. T assign a buttn t a certain speaker, select the buttn and use the Psitinal Audi drpdwn in the buttn details sectin t select which speaker the audi will cme thrugh fr that buttn left, center, r right. 18 5. Click t Call T cnduct calls t any desk r mbile phne frm the C9 Trader, select the Click t Call buttn. This will pen a separate windw where yu can cnduct calls and access yur cntact directry, which is integrated directly with Micrsft Outlk. There are a number f key features: Basic Calls: Type a phne number int the dial pad, accessed n the lwer right f yur Click t Call screen, t talk t any cunterparty in secnds. Yu can als press any name in the directry t call r type any phne number r name in the Smart Search bx at the bttm f the screen. Call Hld and Release: When a call is in prgress, yu can hld calls by pressing the pause buttn in the tp left sectin f yur Click t Call windw. When finished, yu can release a call by pressing the red phne icn. Call Transfer: (Cisc Call Manager Users Only) Yu can transfer a call t anther telephne number by pressing the transfer buttn n the right f the active call windw. Yu can cnduct attended transfers, which allw yu t ntify and pass n infrmatin t the recipient f the transfer, r unattended transfers, which simply sends the call t the ther party withut prviding additinal infrmatin. Click t Call Windw Directry: Create directry entries yurself by clicking the + sign n the lwer left f yur screen. Click t Call als syncs with yur Micrsft Outlk directry. In the Smart Search bx at the bttm f the windw, type in the name r number f the cntact yu wuld like t add. Click the arrw, then Favrite t add the cntact t yur directry. Favrites: Click the arrw next t each cntact t add them t yur favrites. These cntacts will always appear in yur directry. Smart Search: Use the Smart Search bx at the bttm f the windw t search fr cntacts by name r number. Call them directly frm this windw r add cntacts t yur directry. 19 5.1 Click t Call Settings Click the gear icn in the upper left side f the windw and the Click t Call Settings Menu will display. Audi Devices: Here yu can select yur micrphne and speaker device fr Click t Call. If a device is in use n the C9 Trader, then it will nt be available fr selectin r use n Click t Call. The device will be greyed ut in the drp dwn. Line Registratins: This indicates the current status f yur line. A check mark indicates that yur line r extensin is registered and ready fr use. If yur line is nt registered, cntact yur Administratr t mdify yur line registratin in the Clud9 Prtal. SIP Settings: This tab shws yur Sessin Initiatin Prtcl (SIP) Settings. If yu need t change these Click t Call Settings settings, cntact yur Administratr t mdify yur SIP Settings in the Clud9 Prtal. Exit: T lg ut f yur Click t Call windw, select Exit and cnfirm that yu wuld like t end yur sessin. This will nt lg yu ut f yur C9 Trader. 5.2 Click t Call Histry Call Histry fr Click t Call can be accessed by clicking n the icn next t the dialpad in the Smart Search Bar. This shws histry f calls made and received nly frm Click t Call. If a call has been missed, the call histry icn will change clr t teal. Once the histry is viewed, the icn will reset t white. Call histry is nt saved between sessins and will be cleared upn exiting Click t Call. By default, all call histry will be displayed. 20 5.2.1 Call Histry Return Call Users can instantly initiate a call frm the Call Histry page by selecting the return call buttn t the right f the cntact. Once a user selects the return call buttn, they will be taken t the main screen fr access t the additinal call cntrl buttns, i.e. Call Hld. The fllwing scenaris wuld prevent this ptin frm being available t the user: The number is unknwn The user s lines are nt registered 5.3 Message Waiting Indicatr Users that are utilizing Cisc Call Manager and have vic supprted within their envirnment can nw get vic ntificatins thrugh the Click t Call windw. A user can access their vic by selecting the Call Histry icn. This Call Histry display includes all extensins prvisined fr vic . A red dt indicates that new vic is available n that extensin. Selecting an extensin initiates a call t vic , and the user may be required t enter their PIN t retrieve messages. Users may als initiate calls t vic regardless if new messages exist. 21 6. Additinal Features 6.1 Call Histry The Clud9 applicatin has a call histry feature which enables yu t see the call events that have ccurred since yu have lgged int the service. The Call Histry screen can be brught up by clicking the histry buttn lcated within the cntrl panel. Call Histry data includes: Buttn Name Caller Timestamp Call Duratin C9 Trader Call Histry 6.2 Privacy If the Privacy feature is enabled n yur accunt, yu can turn it n fr yur ringdwn cnnectins. When Privacy is enabled, n ne else frm yur wn firm and grup will be able t pick up the cnnectin and participate in the cnversatin. The Privacy feature is set in the Clud9 Prtal n a user by user basis. There are tw ways that Privacy can be enabled in the prtal: Default n: any time the user picks up a ringdwn cnnectin, Privacy is enabled Default ff: yu will need t turn Privacy n in rder t prevent ther users frm participating in the cnversatin Yu are able t tggle the privacy n and ff by clicking n the ptin in the cntrl panel r by setting it as a tggle n their buttn bard. 22 6.2.1 Privacy Status A lck icn will appear n the buttn indicating that privacy is enabled fr the call. The phne icn indicates that privacy is nt enabled and that the buttn is acting like a regular ringdwn cnnectin. 6.3 Perfrmance Alerts Call Privacy Perfrmance alerts give C9 Trader users insight int factrs that may affect their ability t use the platfrm. These ntificatins will indicate a user s netwrk cnditins such as internet cnnectivity and UDP cnnectivity. Internet Cnnectivity: The internet cnnectivity ntificatin will alert users when internet cnnectivity cnditins fall belw an ptimal range t supprt perfrmance fr the Clud9. A yellw icn in the tp right crner f the C9 Trader indicates a netwrk warning, triggered when internet availability is between 60-80%. 23 UDP Cnnectivity: When the user lgs in, the client will initiate a UDP (User Datagram Prtcl) lpback test t verify the cnnectivity t the Clud9 STUN servers. If the UDP lpback test fails, an errr will be indicated n the lgin screen. In the event f any failure, the test will cntinue t try and establish a cnnectin. Perfrmance Alerts 6.4 Audi Bradcast The Audi Bradcast windw can be accessed via a panel that slides ut frm the right side f the C9 Trader windw. Audi Bradcast Features Subscribe/unsubscribe fr up t 20 predefined audi bradcast channels. Vlume cntrl settings fr each f the 20 audi bradcast channels. Ability t hide/shw the bradcast audi channel assignment windw. All-channel mute feature fr quickly muting all actively mnitred audi bradcast channels. Channel Subscribe/Unsubscribe Subscribe: Click the channel yu wish t make active. The channel will turn green, a vlume indicatr will appear shwing the vlume f the channel, and the bradcast will begin transmitting thrugh yur speakers. Unsubscribe: Yu can unsubscribe frm an active channel at any time by clicking n the active channel. Internal Channels If yur rganizatin has established internal channels, r "hts" yu can subscribe t these by clicking the assigned ht in the channel list. 24 Vlume Settings Individual Channel Cntrl: T adjust the vlume fr an individual channel, use the slider t the right f the channel buttn. Master Vlume: The master vlume buttn is psitined at the tp f the Audi Bradcast tab. This tab remains visible when the Audi Bradcast windw is in either an pen r clsed state. Applicatin Updates Clud9 maintains an active release schedule fr new features and enhancements, s it is imprtant t stay up t date with the latest release s yu can take advantage f all the newest features. Yu can easily check which versin yu are running and whether updates are available by lking at the tp right crner f the applicatin windw, r by selecting Abut C9 Trader in the Settings menu.
