4 BASIC CLAY INSTRUCTION with Polly O Hara and Aline Sherwood $125 Clay, glazes and firing included 7 Thursdays 6-9PM or 7 Saturdays 10Am-1PM beginning in March (Indicate your preference of days and you will be contacted by the instructor.) This 5 week class is geared toward the absolute beginner. The basics of wheel throwing and handbuilding techniques, glazing and firing will be covered in this fun, low-stress class. You will learn to prepare clay for the wheel, to center and to form a cylinder the starting point of cups, bowls, vases and other forms. You will also learn the basic hand-building techniques pinch, coil and slab. You will have the opportunity to combine the various techniques to create your own original pieces to take home. Ages: high school - adult CLAY PLAY WITH Renie Pollock Wednesdays 6:30-9:30PM beginning March 8 through Dec 6, 2017 High School Adult Ongoing session for hand-building and wheel throwing at all levels. Personalized instruction is provided for those new to the medium. Attendance is any Wednesday that suits your schedule. Tuition includes clay, glazes, equipment/tools, and firing of products. When your initial 25 lbs of clay runs out, you may reregister at the subsequent session tuition rate which covers another 25 lbs of clay, associated glazes, equipment/materials and firings. $95 registration (all materials included) covers 4 work sessions, 1 glazing session. Students can continue to register after each complete 5 week unit of attendance with new registration fee.
