2 BEGINNING SEWING BEGINNING SEWING WITH HOME DECOR This class is an introduction to basic sewing with an emphasis on Home Décor sewing. You will learn basic sewing skills such as reading pattern instructions, laying out pattern pieces, inserting a zipper, making and inserting cording and making buttonholes. Class project is three different decorator pillows. Four Sessions; 4 1/2 hours each. Half-hour break for lunch. INSTRUCTION FEE: $ Pattern included in class fee. The first class focuses on skill building 4-thread serger techniques that go beyond the basics. Workbook purchase required. Fabric kit included in Class Fee. Class samples can be added to the workbook to create a great resource for future serger projects. One Session; 4 hours. Workbook purchase required (same workbook is used for both Part 1 and Part 2). Fabric kit included in Class Fee. Class samples can be added to the workbook to create a great resource for future serger projects. The Wave stitch will be the final technique in this class. 3 PIECING IN THE HOOP CLASSES You can use your embroidery machine to make a quick and easy pieced quilt block one each month. You will learn how the blocks were created in My Block Piecer. No software necessary for class. At the end of twelve months you will have enough blocks to make a whole quilt. You may use batiks, patterned and solid color quilt fabrics to create a quilt with or without sashing. BLOCK #9: AROUND THE BLOCK One Session; 4 hours. It is easy once you wrap your mind around working upside down. Join this class and learn a great technique. In class, we will use the built-in bobbin work designs in the Quattro, Ellisimo, Dream Machine and Destiny. The project is a wall hanging/table topper. One session, 4 hours. 4 EMBROIDERY CLASSES ANITA GOODESIGN ALL ACCESS CLUB: EMBROIDERY ON PAPER Calling All Access Club members! Open up those design packs and get embroidering. Let s stitch on paper! The Toile De Jouy Collection (November 2016) consists of 17 elegant scenes that are all stitched in one single color! While all the designs in this collection can be stitched on fabric, what is intriguing is that they can also be stitched on paper. Our project is framed artwork. Not an All Access Member? The design is stitched in the hoop. Then the bag is stitched together with the sewing machine. Add the frame, and voila! You have a clutch bag that is your unique creation. 5 KIMBERBELL EMBROIDERY CLUB This Summer, we are starting an exciting new embroidery club for our customers that have embroidery machines with 4 x 4 and 5 7 hoops. We will be doing four projects. CANDY HEART POCKET TAG - 4 x 4 This darling gift tag has a pocket just big enough to hold a chocolate treat, love notes, or gift card.
