She starred opposite Spencer Tracy in a classic battle of the sexes movie, hence the stark black and white color scheme. Materials 14 fat quarters* assorted black prints 3¼ yards white solid 5 8 yard black print for binding 5 yards backing fabric Twin-size quilt batting *fat quarter = 18" 20" utting Measurements include ¼" seam allowances. 40 (2") squares. 54 (2"-wide) strips. From strips, cut 280 (2" 3½") rectangles and 560 (2") squares. 8 (2¼"-wide) strips for binding. lock ssembly 1. hoose 1 matching set of 4 black print squares and 1 black print square. 2.
