2 MEMBER NEWS Heather Boritzke (Essential Ingredients) and her fiancé Drew went to Germany and Austria for a week and a half after the holidays. Her fiancé, Drew, proposed the night before they left on 12/26. They visited Frankfurt, Rhine Valley, Nuremburg, Schwangau, Munich, Dachau, and Salzburg. They did some wine tasting in the Rhine Valley and toured the Hohensalzburg Fortress and Mozart s Birthplace and went to a Mozart concert in Salzburg and toured the Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau Castles in Schwangau. They finished up the trip celebrating Heather s birthday and their engagement in Munich drinking their liter beers at the Hofbrauhaus! Heather Boritzke and her fiancé Drew Kip Coco s (Rowell Chemical) daughter, Jennifer (Coco) and Chaseray Griffin welcomed Zora Coco Griffin into the world on November 12, Baby Z was born at 8 lbs 7oz and she was 21 long. All are in good health, despite living in New Orleans. Baby Z is Kip s first grandchild! Thaddeus (Ted) Lykowski (Seeler Industries) retired from Seeler Industries at the end of December 2018 we wish him well in his retirement! Meet Our New Member Tom Leonard Tom is currently working for PhibroChem as a Technical Sales Representative, having started there in February of this year. Prior to PhibroChem, he worked for Milport Enterprises, Inc. for about 4 years as a Sales Representative. Other past experience was at Haviland Products Company as Purchasing Manager (7 years). He was first exposed to the chemical industry when he was the Purchasing Manager for Keeler Brass Company, a furniture hardware manufacturer, in Grand Rapids, MI. Tom has been married for 28 years and has one daughter who is a sophomore, attending college at the university of Wisconsin Milwaukee. His wife is a yoga instructor and manages/takes care of a VRBO. He enjoys playing golf, sports, exercising and spending time with friends. 2

5 EVENT RECAPS President s Luncheon The annual Presidents luncheon was held Thursday, Dec 6, prior to the Holiday Party. A large number of former Presidents attended the event, including Jerry Merkel, CD&CA 1982 President, as Cheryl De was introduced to be the 2019 President by Pat Kapsa. Holiday Party December 6, 2018 Holiday Party at Hilton Hotel Lisle Brian Bloom, FBC Industries and Kip Coco, Rowell Chemical bring in the holiday spirit with their festive attire at the Holiday party. Cheryl De all decked out and looking forward to her CD&CA Presidency. Megan P. and Heather B. getting into the holiday spirit at the CD&CA Holiday party! 5
