After numerous s and old fashion phone calls the club executive finally got our 150th Canadian Anniversary ICC Medal ordered (expecting delivery in about 8 weeks). I am springing a surprise on to most of you, that the ICC will be having 2 separate tables at the Ingersoll Seniors Community Centre annual indoor yard sale on April 1st this year. 2 (Continued from the previous page) Message from the President The 1st table will be an area where children will be able to attend their 1st introduction to the great hobby of coin collecting. We are needing volunteers to sign up to assist in sharing your love of the hobby with our future leaders, as well as everyone to contribute a few inexpensive numismatic related articles, to give away as well as bring a sample of your own collection what may be of interest to the children. The 2nd table or area will be an Information and Appraisal space (a Roadshow Theme) where again we will need volunteers to share your Knowledge of The Hobby with adults that have either accumulated or inherited some numismatic gems that they would like to know what they are and their estimated value. There will be no money to change hands here as it is INFORMATION only. Again, there will be space to show off some of your own gems to these wonderful attendees. The sheets to sign up to be a part of an enjoyable day are on the table inside the entrance to our hall and please specify which or both areas you would be able to assist and your best time available. It will be fun and enjoyable to SHARE! If you are not attending tonight s meeting you can or phone one of us to participate. As our Club becomes more involved in this lovely community there are more projects in the works but not yet finalized. Watch for more info! For those of us who have been wondering, Tom and Ida Masters are recuperating slowly and will be out attending a few wine tours again as well as a Club meeting or 2 in the near future. Secretary s Report Monday February 20, 2017 The Ingersoll Coin Club met at the Ingersoll Seniors Centre, 250 Ingersoll Street, Ingersoll Ontario. The meeting was called to order at 7:32 pm by president, Ron Culbert. There were 31 people present for this meeting including dealer Steve Hague. Chuck Branton, Jerry O Brien were our guests. Announcements Next month will be member auction night. Each member will be able to submit 5 items. Harry James is our speaker tonight and he spoke on merchant tokens from Oxford county. His talk lasted about 30 minutes. After his talk we had a fifteen minute break where members mingled and looked at items from the dealers. After the break, we had our draw and the winners are listed below. we then had our auction. We had 25 items. 21 sold and 4 passed. The president adjourned the meeting at 8:52pm. 19
