I maintain a positive and encouraging attitude that reflects OTG. I show respect for others by avoiding the use of de-edifying (negative) words and actions. 5. I edify sponsors and leaders of other distributors and groups. We encourage colleagues to work towards growth and success with their leaders. I act responsibly, I teach and lead by example. I support and encourage all distributors who demonstrate commitment to this business. 6. I continue to learn and develop by following the guidelines outlined in the OTG training materials, found at For duplication purposes, I use only the official standardised material from OTG. 7. I never sell or buy Nu Skin products on Ebay, Amazon, personal websites, or other similar online environments. 8. I only recruit those who are not currently active in Nu Skin. We never encourage active distributors or prospects to switch groups. We acknowledge that this is not acceptable behaviour under any circumstances. 9. I do not engage in or recommend other network marketing businesses or products, and never make use of OTG or Nu Skin contacts to promote such businesses or products. 7 The Sign up Process Sign up to get your business started Online Go to - select your home market: UK (or other) Select Ready To Sign Up? Select Join Our Team. You will need to have the ID number of your sponsor to complete the sign up. Make a note of your ID number- you will need it when you sign up your new partners. Placing Your First Order Your first product package is very important. Not only are you about to experience the wide range of quality products, but it is also a big part of your business start up. Bear in mind that this is a business of duplication; therefore you should be coachable and think about your order as the first profitable step in your business building. Also remember that your future team will most likely order the same package that you did. The business builder packages have a mix of products for your personal consumption as well as products you can retail. Your sponsor will recommend the Business Builder start that is best for you. Getting Paid It s important that you provide your bank details so that Nu Skin will be able to pay your commission! Becoming a Product of the Product As with any business, it s vital that you believe in what you are recommending. One of your first goals, therefore, will be to replace the products you use today with products from your own business. Become your best customer so that you can recommend your products with honesty and passion. Signing Up For Your Automatic Delivery Reward (ADR): Nu Skin offers a very rewarding loyalty program. By signing up for an ADR, you will have your products delivered to your home on a monthly basis and you will be given 20-30% product points that can be redeemed for free products! You can change the content in your ADR at any time. 7

8 Getting Started Checklist Having a checklist is critical to your success. Complete each of the following items to begin your Nu Skin business: Register as a distributor and purchase your start kit. At the same time, set up your monthly Automatic Delivery Rewards (ADR) order. Set an appointment within 24 (maximum 48) hours with your sponsor for your first presentation / product workshop. Subscribe to the OTG-S7 list on Purchase your presentation - and follow up material from your sponsor or on www. otgwesteurope.eu under the Store link. Become your own customer by replacing products in your home with Nu Skin and Pharmanex products. Focus on the steps that move your business forward. Get familiar with the System7 work flow and the Ruby Plan. 8

9 SYSTEM 7 WORK FLOW Get into action. There are seven steps in System 7 The Work Flow : Goals Set your initial goals; both short and long term. Put them in writing with a clear deadline. Contacts Write your contact list. Invite Inviting is like a movie trailer create curiosity! Present Follow Up Getting Started Team Work These are the stepping stones to your success and each one focuses on driving your business forward. 9

10 1. GOALS Most people set goals for themselves but only successful people follow them through. In between a struggling business and a thriving business sits a set of goals and we are going to show you how to put your goals into action. What would you accomplish if there were no imitations? Get your business started: How much do I NEED to make from my Nu Skin business per month? This Month: In 4 months: In 1 Year: In 4 years How much do I WANT to make from my Nu Skin business per month? This Month: In 4 months: In 1 Year: In 4 years How much time am I willing to invest per week in my business to achieve what I NEED to make? This Month: In 4 months: In 1 Year: In 4 years How much time am I willing to invest per week in my business to achieve what I WANT to make? This Month: In 4 months: In 1 Year: In 4 years Share this information with your sponsor and/or other uplines. They are there to support you to achieve your goals and it is important for you if they are aware of what you want. Remember that there has to be a combination of the time you are willing to invest in your business and your goals. This is not a get rich quick scheme it s a working program that will build you a long-term revenue. 10

11 Where Do You See Yourself? Decide what Executive level (pin level) you will have in: 4 months 1 year 3 years: 4 years Write down 10 things you want to accomplish with your business The main reasons WHY I started my Nu Skin business is because I want

12 Your Road to Success Starts with Becoming an Executive To qualify as an Executive, all you have to do is make sure you are an active distributor with a minimum volume of 100 PV (Personal Volume) on your personal ID number and an increasing GSV (Group Sales Volume) within your organisation. PV (1 point) = approx. 0.6 Month 1 LOI Month 2 Q1 Month 3 Q2 Generate min. 100 PSV and min. 1,000 GSV Generate min. 100 PSV and min. 1,500 GSV Generate min. 100 PSV and min. 2,000 GSV Strong Executives have a long-term volume of min. 200 PSV and min. 3,000 GSV and we recommend that you aim to have the major part of this volume on ADRs. Strong business building requires a combination of developing leaders and a solid customer base. Helping your new leaders to secure a steady 3000 in Group Sales Volume from their first Executive month will help both you and them to build a solid business. Remember to focus on the activities that grow your business and drive you closer to your goals. To keep you on a steady track, it s a good idea to set goals for the activities that drive volume and people into your organisation. You can then divide this into weekly and daily goals. For example: How many new names on my list? How many business presentations? How many demos? How many ADRs? How much group volume? How many LOIs? Drive to Ruby If you want to achieve financial freedom you have to work for it and it is important to have a plan. Reaching the level of Ruby is the first major step on your way to get there. When you are a healthy* Ruby Nu Skin will reward you with a Success Trip. You can also get other bonuses. Please talk to your sponsor for more details. 13 2. Making Your Contact List (FFBC) Creating a valuable contact list is crucial for setting the foundation for success. At this stage, write down all the names of everyone in your FFBC (Friends, Family, Business and Community) network circles and think about who could benefit from your business and/or your products. You may find people who care about their looks, people who are concerned about aging or people who want to earn extra money. And you will come across contacts that are looking for a big career change and are ready for serious action. Within your circle of influence, there will be a reason (whether financially or personally) that NuSkin can improve many of these people s lives. Remember that creating your contact list is an action orientated activity, and people who implement their plans are the ones who enjoy success. Do it today! Prospect Memory Jogger Those you meet in organisations or clubs. People who are decision makers. Your closest friends who you associate with regularly. People in sales realtor, cars, stockbroker, insurance. A business owner restaurant, salon, store. A professional (with no leverage) doctor, attorney, accountant. A worker in a struggling industry car, retail, banking. Extended family - someone in a dead-end job. A school teacher or administrator. A stay-at-home mum. A retired person. A parent college educations?, weddings. Parents of kids friends think sidelines, school halls. Someone who is not working, but wants to go back to work. Those always trying the latest and greatest. 13

15 3. Inviting We should all reflect the high quality of Nu Skin and follow the advice by the founders to only sponsor nice people. What you are looking for are people who are positive, honest, open for a new business, willing to learn and willing to take action. Before you make a presentation it is advisable that you know if the prospect has or displays these qualities. When it comes to people you know, you already know if they are positive, honest, doers etc. However, you also need to know if the timing is right for them to start something new. If it is, then it is time to present the business! A potential business partner: An example: Hi.., I am calling you because I m looking for a partner in my new business. I thought of you since you are a trustworthy person who I believe is willing to work for something you believe in. But before I introduce you to my business I need to know if you are in a situation right now that allows you to look at what I have to offer. If the answer is yes make an appointment. If the answer is no ask why and learn from it. Perhaps your contact may be interested at a later stage A potential customer: Some people would rather be approached with the products which means that you need to make a product presentation. Before doing that, make sure that the person is: Interested in anti-ageing Interested in high quality products Willing to spend 45 min to get the product information An example: Hi., I am calling you because I have started a new business. As far as I know you have always been interested in anti-ageing and high quality products is that correct? If the answer is yes - say Then I am sure I have the right products for you! I only need to know that you are willing to spend 45 minutes to get the information are you? If the answer is once again yes make the appointment. Do you need more ideas / examples of invitations? 16 Handling Objections Objections are simply a signal to you that your prospects need more information, but don t worry; there are many ways to deal with them. Firstly, an important point to remember is if your contacts are raising objections when you invite, it means that you have already said too much! You will always be faced with objections but they should be raised and answered during or after a presentation, not during an invitation. The common mistake that many people make, and that you should always avoid, is seeing an objection as a challenge to your credibility. It is natural for people to instantly show doubt so be careful not to adopt a defensive position. Behind objections are usually genuine issues so it is important you are ready and equipped to deal with them. You can learn more about handling objections by attending local, national or international trainings and from many online webinars. You can also learn live from your sponsor/ upline when they assist you with your first presentations. 16

17 4. The Art of Presenting It is very easy to present the business to your contacts. We use the standardised presentations which you can download from All you need to do is visit the Download section of the site and you can also buy presentation flipcharts from the OTG store or from your sponsor. Business focus: Use the OTG Business Briefing Product focus: Use The various options of presenting include: Meeting personally with the prospect Bringing/inviting your prospect to an open OTG meeting or to a private meeting with your sponsor. Using Skype Using a recorded presentation in your language. You can find it in the download section of We strongly recommend that your sponsor is present during your first few presentations. This is a great way to earn while you learn and is simply the best way to jumpstart your business. Closing Ask questions that confirm and clarify: What did you find most interesting? (Here you need to keep quiet and wait for the answer as it will guide and help you with your follow up you will instantly know where the interest is.) Do you now understand why I wanted you to have this information? Or, Do you want to be a partner or a salesperson? NB! Always schedule a follow-up meeting no later than 48 hours after your presentation/ demo - if possible together with your sponsor/partner. 17

18 5. Following Up The money is in the follow-up The best way to follow up is to ask when and how your contact wants to proceed! You should always stay connected and make sure you have appointments for the next steps (whether it will be a personal appointment, a phone appointment or a Skype call). Two or more follow-up contacts or meetings may be required with the person before he/she will join the business, so be patient. Ask when and how they want to be followed up. It is also important that you stop the follow up if a person is not interested. Sometimes it can be difficult for someone you know to say no. You offer a great opportunity, but you will build your team even if he/she does not join it. A no can actually be better (and save your time) than a maybe, so do not be afraid to ask for a clear answer. When your contact is ready, hand out this little grey Fast Start Booklet and start going through the initial steps of signing in and placing the first order. Make sure you schedule the next business presentation that your new distributor can invite to. Help your new partner to start the business in a CLEAR and SIMPLE way. Know your upline. 19 6. Getting Started When you have enrolled a new business partner do the following five things: Help him/her to place the first order. Teach him/her how to set up the ADR order for min. 100 PV/month. Make sure he/she gets a copy of this Fast Start Booklet. Show how to find the local OTG website to register for the OTG mailing list. Start at the beginning of the work flow with this new distributor by going through all the major points. Finally: Now you are ready to start your business and to get the first distributors and customers in place. Schedule the next meeting and Fast Start Training and remember that the more people you bring to the meetings, the faster and stronger your business will grow. 7.
