Setting up your Business : Open a separate checking account to use for your business : do not open a business account (usually more expensive than a personal account). DO NOT put Mary Kay on your checks. Set up your personal Mary Kay website for $30 (half price) at Order your Mary Kay Business Cards (see MK Connections tab on Create the Mary Kay link to your personal account. If you don t already have an address, create one first. (this could be through Google s gmail program) The s from your Mary Kay site will be sent then to your personal , aka gmail, hotmail etc. Register for ProPay ( IF you plan to accept credit cards from customers. Stay Connected : Attend our WEEKLY Tuesday Night Live Training Event from 6:30-8pm at the Red Lion Inn : 1123 Lincoln Way East, Chambersburg, Pa Outof-towners - I will locate you an Adoptive Director for you in your local area to attend their meetings. (giggle) If you could ask a few friends to join you, that would be even better! Would or work best for you? Calling a Referral - Hi, this is we both know! Do you have a quick minute? I treated to a free Mary Kay Makeover. We had so much fun! She wanted to pass the gift on to a few friends and she chose you! Would you like to accept it? Great! What s better for you, day or evening? Would you like to share your makeover with a friend? (NOTE : if you already has a consultant thank her for using our products and encourage her to get updated material from her personal consultant). Conversational Networking - Hi, this is, I met you yesterday at! Do you have a quick minute? I m calling to schedule the makeover that we chatted about! I m booking both individual and group appointments - which would you prefer? Calling a Goodie Bag Contact - Hi, this is with Mary Kay! I m the one who gave you a goodie bag a couple of days ago at and I m just calling you to see if you liked the sample of TimeWise that was in your bag? Great! That is an awesome product - and you know, we have lots more that are just as great! I m booking individual and group makeover appointments and I d love to meet with you and let you try some of our products! Which would you prefer? An individual OR group appointment? YOU CAN DO THIS! 9 An awesome way to start your new business is with your First Mary Kay party! Check out the details below : 1. Set a date for your Party with your Sales Director or Recruiter 2. Place your inventory order with your Sales Director so it will arrive before your party date and your friends and family can purchase from you and take their products home that day! 3. Make a list of friends, family, co-workers, neighbors, church friends, etc. and send out an invitation OR e-card found on 4. Post your party to friends on your Facebook Page, it to your friends and family 2-3 days prior to your party, call EVERYONE you invited (if you don t call they won t come!) 5. Schedule to pre-profile the guests that are attending your party with your recruiter OR Director. 6. Plan to serve simple refreshments - something sweet, something salty and something to drink, i.e. cookies and punch. 7. We ll need a table with a plain tablecloth for a nice display. 8. Prepare your calendar for bookings! (with a highlighter, mark each date & time you are available for the next 30 days following your Debut.) 9. You ll need your Starter Kit, sales tickets, calculator, pens, satin hands sampler set and look books on hand to show your guests. 10.Your Director and/or recruiter will help you with your event -all you need to do is be excited and invite LOTS of people! When you have at least 10 guest (women who are 18 or older) at your first party with $500 and 10 bookings, you will win the Mary Kay watch!! Your Director will present it to you at the next Tuesday Night Meeting! Let s set up for your 1st Party TODAY!

11 Join us on Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8pm At the Red Lion Inn : 1123 Lincoln Way East Chambersburg, Pa Welcome to our Tuesday Night Live (TNL) Events! Here are a few guidelines that will make our meeting run smoothly and be as powerful as we want it to be!! Thank you in advance for being a team player! PLEASE sign in every week! Directors have to keep detailed records for tax purposes, so the money and sign-in sheet must match exactly. DUES - the training dues are $3 per week. EARLY/LATE - we know there are times you might have to leave early or arrive late for training. PLEASE still sign in and pay your meeting dues. It s only fair that everyone pays - thanks for understanding! What do the dues pay for? They cover rent for our training facility, also handouts, snacks and basic supplies for our guests etc. Other units charge for guests- but we allow guest to come for FREE! GUESTS - if you have a guest attend with you please bring along a mirrored tray, facial cloth, eye and mascara applicators, profile card, beauty book and sales ticket as well. We will provide the products, etc. DRESS CODE - please honor Mary Kay and wear a skirt or dress to our meetings. We want to WOW our guests and let them see how professional we are! If you need to purchase something, consider a black skirt and a white blouse! That way, if you ever move into our Red Jacket you are prepared! Wear the same outfit every week. Red Jackets and Directors do! RECRUITERS -- PLEASE - explain to your team members the dress code for our meetings and the dues we pay. That way that consultant handling the desk that night isn t embarrassed having to ask her to pay her dues. CHILDREN - Children are NOT allow at our Mary Kay Trainings. Mary Kay always taught that women need a night out where they can be recognized, educated and motivated! When children are present, they are so precious and are naturally require attention, which could be distracting to others. Children are quickly bored with nothing to interest them at our meetings.
