2 Welcome to the Team Welcome to Thirty-One! I am your National Executive Director and I am so excited to have you on my team. I am committed to helping you have a great start with Thirty-One. I am here to support you every step of the way. I joined Thirty-One March 2008 and have never looked back. What started out to be a hobby for me has turned into a fulltime career that allows me to be a stay-at-home mom with my beautiful daughter, Molly Kate. Whether you are joining Thirty-One as a hobbyist or as a full-time Consultant, I want you to be successful and reach your goals. Your kit will arrive soon but don t wait to start your new Thirty-One business. There are so many tools at your fingertips but it is up to you to choose to take advantage of them. I want to encourage you to Start Today! This guide is meant to be used in conjunction with the Consultant Training Guide. The Team Pasalakis Success Start Guide is to be used as an additional resource and is full of information that I have personally found helpful for myself and my team in the beginning. I hope you will find this helpful in getting your new Thirty-One business started. Please make sure you take time to read this and let me know if you have any questions. 4 BEFORE YOUR KIT ARRIVES Setting your Goals Consultants join for many reasons. Some join to save for vacation, pay off credit card debt, pay for Christmas gifts, or just to get out of the house a few nights a month. What would you like to accomplish with your new business? What is your WHY for joining Thirty-One? Determining your party schedule will help you and your business be consistent. How many parties would you like to do a week? What night of the week will you set aside to do parties? 2. 5 3. Schedule your First 6 Parties! Think of 5 people you know would be willing to host a party for you...then include yourself and schedule your first 6 parties! Call your five friends/family members and say: Do you have just a minute? I am really excited to let you know that I am starting my own Thirty-One business. This will help me insert your WHY here and I am contacting my nearest and dearest friends and family to help me launch my new business. Can I count on your support in hosting one of my first parties? I will help you with all the preparation and you will enjoy all the FREE and 1/2 price products as the hostess. Create your list of 62 (found online on under New Consultant Training). We know more people than we realize. Utilize F.R.A.N.K to create a list of potential Customers, Hostesses or even Consultants! This list will grow and change, and will continue to be a resource you go back to again and again. Use the FRANK Method Friends Relatives Acquaintances Neighbors Kids Associations (school, sport teams, teachers, parents of friends) 5

6 4. Go to Thirty-One Today Start Working Through the New Consultant Training at: Make it a habit to visit (TOT) frequently! This website is for Consultants only and contains a wealth of information to help you with your new business. Everything you need from the monthly specials to company happenings can be found here. It can be overwhelming, so New Consultants have a special section that helps you focus on the basics of learning your new Thirty-One business. You will find this is the go to place to answer almost all of your questions! If you can find it there, then you should call your sponsor for additional help. The login is the same as your personal website. 5. Party Experience Watch all the Party Experience videos at: The most important things I learned from watching the Party Experience videos were: 6

7 6. Building a Team is Easier Than You Think! Make sure you share the Thirty-One Opportunity. You can share the Thirty-One opportunity from the moment you join! If you don t tell them, someone else will! Plus, it is exciting to share you new experience with a friend. 8 StartSwell One of your first goals as a new Consultant should be to earn your StartSwell incentives (see the StartSwell flyer). The StartSwell kit is a great business additive that will help you add to your kit display as well as give you some additional business tools. You can earn this!!! Your StartSwell dates can be found on your Home page in your back office. The best way to earn all of these incentives is to BOOK PARTIES! Using your list of 62 on the StartSwell incentive tracker will help you identify your first hostesses. Use the chart below to track your success in earning all of the incentives offered! Once you book a party, the fun begins! After all, you can t move forward with anything until you book parties! Together, we will work on making sure each one of your parties are successful! 8

10 New Consultant Checklist Mark your Start Swell dates on your calendar. See the Tracker. Create Your List of 62 Utilizing the F.R.A.N.K. System. Grab a cup of coffee and find quiet spot! Taking time to list everyone you want to share your new business with will be vital in the success of launching your new business. Schedule your first 6 parties. One of these can be you kick off party. As the hostess of your kick off party, you get the hostess rewards. You can use the rewards to add product to your kit. Watch Party Experience videos. This will help you learn a bit more about Thirty-One and your new business. 5 Personalize your New Consultant Website and/or call all of your friends and family to let them know about your new business. Enter all of your contacts into your backoffice. (In Virtual Office, click Order link, then Contacts, then add new Contact) Personalize your Thoughts, Talks, & Trends Newsletter. This service is free for your first 90 days & $3/month after that. Setup a separate checking account. This will help keep your Thirty- One business separate from your family finances. Make labels for your catalogs. Include name, phone number, website, & address) 10

11 YOUR PINK BOX HAS ARRIVED! Now What? Call or Me and take a picture! I want to hear your excitement! Post a picture of you with your Pink Box on Facebook. Make Packets! You need to deliver your hostess her packets so she can get started on her party right away. See the New Consultant Section on Thirty-One Today for ideas. Study the Catalog There are lots of things to learn but in the catalog. You want to learn all you can about personalization! Learn How to Properly Hostess Coach! This will make or break the success of your party! 5 Learn the Hostess Rewards Program. 6 Practice Filling Out an Order Form. 7 Watch the Party Experience videos AGAIN! 8 Setup your kit!
