I m here to help you understand the basics of Younique and our business so you can begin earning right away. And, of course, to show you the fun rewards as well!! The opportunity is HUGE with Younique!! I am so excited to see what we can accomplish as we work closely together. Now is the time to start dreaming BIG BIG dreams!! 6 WHAT TO DO RIGHT AWAY --> getting started with Younique your first week. 1. READ THIS PRESENTER'S HANDBOOK :) 2. LOG INTO YOUR WEBSITE. Get familiar with the site and the products. 3. READ THE YOUNIQUE PRESENTER AGREEMENT so you know what the company policies are. You CANNOT sell Younique products on 3rd party websites like Ebay, Craigslist, StoreEnvy, an online Boutique etc... It is against company policies. If Presenters are involved they get one strike warning. If they don't act immediately is grounds for termination." If you see someone doing this, you can their name to There is no need to contact the presenter in question. You also cannot have the word Younique in any website you create or address. 4. CONNECT ON FACEBOOK using the links on the following page. It s important for you to connect with your sponsor and upline leader. Remember that this is your business and you are responsible for asking your sponsor for the help you need. Also, do not post your website or message people looking for more information on the corporate Younique FB page or another Presenter's page/group. Corporate distributes leads as they see fit and posting your website on another Presenter's page is just bad taste. 5. START YOUR OWN PARTY AS YOUR LAUNCH PARTY. Any products you order, make sure you order them through a party. Use your party link as the website you share with friends and leads. Before you set up your first party, read through your upline s online party tips. There s more than one way to have a successful party and your elite should have training available.. Make sure to invite EVERYONE to your launch party!! Encourage your friends and customers to book parties!! If you need ideas, join another Presenter's party. There's no ONE way to do itfind what works for you and go for it. You can also find great tips on this Virtual Party Facebook Group. 6. WRITE DOWN YOUR OWN "30 SEC COMMERCIAL". This will be how you introduce Younique to others. Practice saying it so it is 2nd nature and just rolls off your tongue. 7. MAKE A LIST OF 100. Make a list of everyone you know and start contacting and inviting them to participate with Younique in any of the following ways: joining as a Presenter, hosting a Party, purchasing products, or referring a friend. Write a star next to or circle those who have a large network or have influence in their circles. These are great people to start with! Invite them to learn more about the business, host a party or try out the products for themselves. Your list should grow every day by adding two people to your list that you meet every day! This is important in that you never have a dried up cup of contacts. We celebrate ALL the no s in this business! 8. MARKET YOUR BUSINESS ON FACEBOOK. If you want you can CREATE A BUSINESS FACEBOOK PAGE and share it will all your friends. You can't just use "Younique" only in the name. You must specify that you are an Independent Younique Presenter. So, "Younique by Lindsay" is okay!! Learn how to create and market your Facebook Page. One of the best things you can do is to post something on your profile. Take a photo of you with the lashes on OR use another photo from our photo gallery. On your post don't write too much info!!! This is REALLY important. You want to peak your friends curiosity so they will ask more questions. Here's an example of what to write: "Just discovered this super cool product that makes my lashes look awesome! I'm in love!!!! Let me know if you want more info about it. Super cool!!" 8. BOOK AT LEAST 6 PARTIES. This is SOOOO important! Parties work and they are some best ways to get sales AND new presenters. You want to have a minimum of 5 parties - but you can book up to parties at a time. And because these are online parties, you can literally hold them all at the same time. Ask your friends, ask your customers, ask your leads. Ask everyone to host a party. PAGE 6

7 COMMISSION & ROYALTIES > learn how you get paid! RANK BREAKDOWN WHITE = 20% commission YELLOW = 25% commission (once you hit yellow you NEVER go back to 20% commission) PINK and BLUE = 25% commission + earn bonus off your group wholesale sales. GREEN through BLACK = 30% commission + earn bonus off your group wholesales sales + earn bonus off your generation elite leaders and their groups. First Generation is your first Green leader or above in your downline and their circle. Second Generation is the next leader down the line. TITLE RANK VS. PAID RANK Your recognized status will never go down once you reach it. (for example, if you hit PINK one month, from then on you ll be recognized as a PINK presenter until you move up to the next rank) However, your paid as status resets at the beginning of the month. The only exception is once you hit yellow, you never go back to white. To check your current status you can go under my tools then to my office. Click on My Royalties REQUIREMENTS TO ADVANCE IN RANK Wholesale Sales are 75% of Retail Sales. First Level Presenters are those you personally sponsored. First Generation Elite is someone that has advanced to GREEN or higher. COMPANY SALES include every single person in your entire downline CIRCLE SALES include all sales for your group EXCEPT for any ELITE PRESENTER in your downline and their group. COMMISSION & ROYALTIES > learn how you get paid! PAGE 7

8 HOW YOU GET PAID Younique pays its Presenters through an outside company called PayQuicker. It s basically like your own separate bank account just for your business. You get paid three hours after every sale. After you make your first sale you will receive an to set up your account. When setting up your Payquicker account, please do it as personal. You can transfer money out of your PayQuicker account to any bank account, with a 50 cent transfer fee. PAYQUICKER DEBIT CARD Once you reach $50 in commission PayQuicker will issue and mail out your debit card. This card is directly connected to your PayQuicker account, so once your commission is deposited you can use it immediately. Be aware that there are some fees if the card declines, if you use the PIN in a transaction. It may take 2-3 weeks to receive your card. ACTIVE STATUS VS. QUALIFIED Active Status: You must sell (or purchase) $125 worth of products every rolling 90 days to stay active as a Presenter. If you become inactive, your website is de-activated so you no longer have the ability to place orders. Once you become inactive you have 6 months to contact support to place a qualifying order (to get you back up to $125) and your website will be reactivated and your downline returned. QUALIFIED is a term to achieve rank advancement. To become a PINK Presenter you need to have one Qualified Presenter. Qualified means they have sold $125 in a calendar month. Different ranks have different requirements for the number of qualified Presenters. DOWNLINE Each Presenter you personally sponsor is part of your First Level. Everyone that you sponsor and that anyone on your team sponsors is part of your Downline. You can view your downline by selecting My Company under My Office. If you click on a Presenter you can find their phone number, Facebook link and their sign up date. TECHNICAL/PRODUCT/WEBSITE SUPPORT If you ever have technical, order or product issue please contact customer support via your website or support@youniqueproducts.com FAST START REWARDS- To do in first 90 days! REQUIREMENTS: Sponsor 3 New Presenters $2000 PRS (Personal Retail Sales) REWARDS: Fast Start Charm & $250 in Younique Cash & Recognition and a charm bracelet get rewarded BIG when you achieve FAST START in your first 90 days!! 9 SETTING REALISTIC EXPECTATIONS --> know what effort you need to put in to get results you desire Direct sales is not a get rich quick scheme. That being said, you can make a significant income with Younique! In this company, hard work, persistence and leadership is highly rewarded. WHITE & YELLOW PRESENTERS These tables give you an idea of what you can earn, but is not a guarantee of income. Your FIRST GOAL as a NEW PRESENTER should be to sell $1000. Once you reach $1000 PRS, not only will you earn your investment back (and double that) you ll promote to a YELLOW PRESENTER and will earn 25% commission from then on out! And if you sponsor as you sell, you can hit PINK & YELLOW at the same time. You MUST promote to YELLOW before you can promote to any other rank. BUILD A TEAM & SEE SOME GREEN Building a team by sharing and sponsoring is the fastest & most profitable way to grow your business. Those numbers shown are on the LOW end for each rank. If you have a larger team than required by rank, the numbers will be larger. Build a team WIDE as well as DEEP to make the most from the compensation plan. PAGE 9

10 PARTIES AND ORDERS --> how to purchase & sell products HOW TO PURCHASE YOUR OWN PRODUCTS Always purchase your own products in a Party so that you can earn free products as a hostess. Every 10 days you should set up a party through YOUR website (VERY important!!). Place ALL orders through the party. When ordering products you pay the full retail price at checkout, but you will receive your commission back within 24 hours. You will get paid commission regardless of which party it is under, as long as the party was started from YOUR website. SHIPPING Orders ship as soon as they are placed - no waiting for a party to close. Shipping is a $5.50 flat rate or free on all orders over $100 We currently ship to all 50 states and APO s, Guam, US Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico & Canada HOSTESS REWARDS To redeem the younique cash she earned, your hostess needs to go to YOUR website and then login. Any Younique Cash or 1/2 off rewards will show when she adds items to her cart. All Hostess Rewards are provided by Younique. Once the party closes the party rewards are automatically added to the hostess account and are valid for a full SETTING UP THE PARTY You must be Facebook Friends with someone to set them up as a hostess Parties can be set up for 3, 5, or 10 days. Once set up, the time frame can t be modified. Set up party the same way even if you are doing an in-home party. 1. Go to YOUR website (if you are on another presenter s website, the party will be created under them). 2. Click on MY OFFICE 3. Click on Schedule New Parties year. Your hostess cannot redeem her rewards until the day after her party closes. Parties closed automatically after the length you ve selected. They cannot be closed earlier and cannot extend longer than the original set length. Younique Cash cannot be used to pay for shipping or taxes or applied to any half priced items. Hostess reward redemptions do not count toward your personal sales or other party credits unless the host/customer pays above their rewards and half price amounts. *** GREAT TIP!! Create a group JUST for all your hostesses filled with photos and your tips or a successful party. It s a simple way to do your host coaching all at once!! *** PAGE 10

12 HOSTESS COACHING --> partner with your hostess to make it a win for both of you HOST COACHING is the #1 indicator of success for your party!! Get your hostess on board, let her know what she needs to do for a successful party. TIPS TO SEND YOUR ONLINE HOSTS I am so excited for your Online Younique Party!! Here are some tips to ensure a successful party: Once the group/event is created, immediately invite at least 100 people. But, I actually recommend people. The more invites, the more attendees. Even someone you think may not be interested just may end up loving the products! Every time an invite joins the party page, greet & welcome them personally with excitement! Your excitement is very contagious; use your words to express this. Also, ask them to extend an invitation to their Facebook friends as well! The more the merrier applies here! Make your own post, including pictures even! At least once daily (the more the better) during your party. Ideas for posts can be asking the Presenter questions, telling a funny cosmetic-related story that women will relate to while tagging your friends in the post, review a product you have already tried. REMEMBER: Your friends will NOT be interested in your party if you are not there. Once the party ends, your host rewards will be automatically added to your Younique account. Simply go to my website, login and you can use your earned Younique Cash toward any products, including collections. Host Rewards do expire after one year. Make sure to ask me about joining as a Presenter! PAGE 12

13 HOSTESS COACHING- --> partner with your hostess to make it a win for both of you HOW TO HOSTESS COACH FOR A HOME PARTY FIRST COACHING CONTACT 1. Go through Hostess Packet with her Hostess Packet: Flyer with Hostess Rewards, Guest order forms, Catalogs, Copy of monthly special, Recruiting brochure, Samples of makeup and skincare (Have her purchase the 3D lashes for herself so she can show off her results) 2. Tell her about Virtual Party and that she can take orders with order forms or direct people online to order if they can t make it to the party. 3. Coach her to write down a guest list. If possible, get the list from her and mail out invitations for her. Educate her about /fb invites and how phone calls and face to face contacts work best. 4. Help her make a wish list of products. Let her know what size the party needs to be in order for her to get those products. 5. Invite her to try the products, post results and then schedule next call within 48 hours.. 6. Let her know what you need at the party (table/access to bathroom or sink, etc... ) SECOND COACHING CONTACT 1. Ask if it s a good time to talk 2. Go over wish list 3. Review amount needed to earn the wish list. 4. Ask her if she s created her guest list. If not, encourage her to use F.R.A.N.K. Friends, Relatives, Acquaintances, Neighbors, Kid s Contacts 5. Coach her to personally invite guests. 6. Coach her to keep refreshments simple 7. Have some kind of incentive (party points) for her to get you orders before the show. 8. Casually, and briefly mention the opportunity to join your team. THIRD COACHING CONTACT 1. Ask her about outside orders 2. Ask her to make reminder calls the night before the party and STRESS how important it is!! 3. Ask how many people she is expecting so you know how many supplies to bring 4. Tell her what time you will be arriving. *** AFTER PARTY *** Let her know how much she would have earned if she were the Presenter. TOP REASONS PEOPLE BOOK PARTIES * Free Products * They think their friends would like it * Help Hostess * The Presenter was FUN! KNOW YOUR HOSTESS REWARDS without having to look at the chart. 14 MORE PARTY TIPS - --> let s get this party started! WHAT TO BRING * Set of 3D Fiber Lashes * Pigment, Concealer & Blusher Testers * I recommend having a sample set of the following products: - AWAKE Facial Cleanser - BRILLIANT Moisturizer - GLORIOUS Primer - BB CREAM (1-2 shades) - LIPGLOSS (Luxe is a great neutral color) If you are brand new, by all means, hold a party with what you have on hand. BUT, if you can use host rewards, fast start rewards, or invest in more products, get the skin care items. People are more likely to buy them when they try them. * White Washcloths (5-10) (walmart/target) * Disposable Applicators (eye shadow applicators, lip gloss applicators) If you want to sample the 3D lashes, bring mascara wands. HOWEVER, be aware that most top leaders DO NOT let others sample the lashes. They may bring an extra NEW set for the hostess to open and demo or they demo their set on themselves. If you have stock on hand, bring it and guests that purchase can try it out that night. * Beauty Profile Cards (for them to write down which colors they liked) * Contact Cards or Order Forms (you want to get everyone s contact info whether they purchase or not) * Makeup Remover Towelettes * Some way to take orders. How you do this is up to you. Either bring orders forms, a laptop or smart phone to order online or a square/paypal app, or cash for change. * Business Cards. Give everyone 1-2 cards * Presenter Info. Have a photo of the kit and some info on how to get started. Tip for Success: mention becoming a Presenter at LEAST 3 times during the night. PAGE 14 PARTY AGENDA * ARRIVE EARLY and set up. I suggest keeping your display SIMPLE! You want it to look easy & duplicatable. I don t usually bring my own table - I just use a kitchen table or coffee table of my hostess. * GREET THE GUESTS as they arrive. Try to remember their names. Ask them how they know the host. If you have time, as about their makeup use and skin type. * GET STARTED with the party! Thank the hostess and give her a hostess gift. This can be something inexpensive!! Something simple to show you appreciate her hosting for you. * YOU ARE THE PRO! Everyone is waiting for you to tell them what to do :) Give a quick agenda of the night: Okay, we are going to have so much fun tonight trying out all the great products I brought! We ll start by washing our faces with our AWAKE cleanser (talk about some of the benefits of each product as you introduce it), then we ll try out the moisturizer and primer. I ll have you choose your favorite BB Cream or Foundation and we ll finish up by adding your favorite eye shadow pigments and of course the amazing 3D lashes. (I suggest doing a demo with 1 set of lashes - either on yourself or the hostess. Most leaders do not let everyone sample the lashes). * HAVE FUN! At the end of the party invite everyone to join as a presenter or to host their own party TAKING ORDERS It s up to you on exactly how you want to take orders. Here are some options: * Have each person order of the website and everything gets shipped directly to them. * Bring several sets of lashes or other products and do cash and carry. Any items you are missing can be ordered via website. * Use the SQUARE app with your phone. Ship

18 ASSUME THE SALE The best thing you can do is just always assume that people are going to purchase - even right there on the spot. Don t be afraid to ask for the sale!! If you are taking orders, have a clipboard with an order form and hand it to them and say, okay, let s get you started or lets get your favorite products ordered for you. ASK CHOICE QUESTIONS or QUESTIONS THAT WILL ALWAYS BE ANSWERED YES Direct them to the products and ask them what colors do you usually like to wear instead of do you wear eye shadow. Or ask, Why don t we have you sit down and you can sample the lashes right now? LEVERAGE THE MONTHLY SPECIALS AND THE COLLECTIONS Show them how much they save by purchasing in bulk or with the specials. People love great deals! BE THE PROFESSIONAL People you are speaking with, whether it s an at home party, a booth, or just a casual conversation, are assuming that YOU are the expert. While it s okay to not know all the answers (you can always tell them you just got started and you are still learning about all the products), be confident that you know enough! They will base a lot of their decision on your recommendations and well as how well you listen to what they would be interested. Ask questions and then be quiet and LISTEN! STUDY PSYCHOLOGY * Nod your head when you ask questions to prompt others to say yes. * Start with a higher priced item and be able to offer an alternative. * When you ask a question WAIT for the ANSWER. * Tell yourself you CAN!! Daily Positive Affirmation! * Always listen for the maybe. * Offer alternatives to objections. * Learn to answer objections with FEEL, FELT, FOUND. Ex: Customer: I m worried this mascara will take too long to put on each morning Presenter: I understand how you feel. I, too, am busy in the morning and I don t always have a long time to put on makeup. What most people have found is that it really takes just a few minutes to get the look they want... really not that much longer than regular mascara. Once you get the process down it will be super quick! You can use this same method for addressing objections in any area. Ex: Prospective Presenter: I just don t have time to do a business like this Presenter: I understand how you feel. I have other presenters that work or have busy families that have the same concern. What they found is that this business is very mobile and because so much can be done online or on the go, the business can fit into the other important responsibilities they already had. If we could site down with your schedule and I could show you how this could work, would you be interested? PAGE 18

19 SELLING > let s share what we have to offer! YOUR MOUTH IS YOUR OFFICE: KEEP IT OPEN!! FIRST THING: You, and only you, are responsible for building your business. Your upline cannot build your business. You cannot simply rely on your downline to build your business. Your business is YOUR responsibility. There are many different ways to promote and market Younique products. You are only limited by your creativity and resourcefulness (and just a couple of company policies). If you ever feel like your business is struggling, make sure you try out all the different ideas and then go to your upline for additional help! There are LOTS of presenters selling a LOT of product. Learn from what the top leaders are doing and duplicate them. Ready to sell a lot?? Get ready to talk it up!! The more people you have conversations with (online or in person) the more sales, hosts, and even presenters you ll have. The key to this business is to tell EVERYONE! Msg * Pinterest * Google + * Instagram * Bloggers, Reviews & Giveaways * Youtube * Marketing PARTIES * In Home/Grand Opening (contact previous customers to book) * Offices/Work Places (perfect for husbands right before Valentines, Mother s Day & Christmas!) * Virtual/Mystery Hostess Party * Girls Night In FACE TO FACE * Conversations as you are running errands * One-on-ones/Facials BEAUTY FIELD/COSMETOLOGY * Nail Salons * Hair Stylists * Makeup Artists * Eyebrow Threaders/Eye Lash Extension Techs NEED MORE LEADS?? Remember this is YOUR business. If you don t have business coming in, go and GET the business.: * Place a drawing box at a salon and pick up leads weekly * Make a goal to have 3-5 contacts EACH day * Go back through previous leads/customers and invite them to host * Re-write your list of 100 and Ask for referrals. 20 SPONSORING NEW PRESENTERS- --> build your business big BUILDING A TEAM BUILDS YOUR BUSINESS How would you like to have residual income? Money that keeps coming in that doesn t depend on your own individual time? That s what building a team does. With direct sales it s like you are not just buying a businessyou are buying a franchise. A business hat other people can duplicate all on their own. Direct Sales offers something other businesses don t: LEVERAGE!! With a direct sales business you leverage your time by adding in new franchise owners aka sponsoring new presenters. By sponsoring and building your team, your business will not just grow by 2s or 3s... with the right leadership and activity, it can grow exponentially: doubling, tripling or even more!! BE A SPONSOR THAT CARES & SUPPORTS When you sponsor someone into the business, make sure you are committed to their success. For the first 48 hours you are connected at the hip! Be there every step to help them get off to a great start. Then teach them how to be leaders themselves so they can take the SAME steps and duplicate it with their teams. Have the mantra of I DO, WE DO, YOU DO. WHO TO INVITE EVERYONE!!! The biggest earners in direct sales invite everyone. Every single person they have a conversation with about the company or products always learns about the business. START WITH THE BUSINESS - and follow up with an invitation to purchase the products. THE KEY IS TRULY BELIEVING IN THE OPPORTUNITY Do you believe that you have an amazing opportunity? Do you believe your business could bless someone s life? Do you believe someone can make great money with this business? If your friend had signed up and not told you until a year later would you be upset? So.... what is keeping you from telling the world!! Remember, your job is to simply invite! ONE APPROACH: Sell first, then invite to join. Let them try the product and then talk to them about the business. BETTER APPROACH: Sell while also inviting. If you are able to have a conversation before they purchase (which isn t always possible), a great line to use is, if you love this you should really consider becoming a presenter. INVITE: Be excited and passionate when you invite. Most important of all-- make the invitation about THEM and what Younique can do for their future and their family. Here are some sample ways to invite: Have you ever thought about having a business like this? I love referrals! Do you know anyone that would be a good fit for a business like this? You are so friendly! Have you ever considered promoting the products? You would be great at it! I want to make sure I tell you about how you can purchase at wholesale! PAGE 20

21 SPONSORING NEW PRESENTERS- --> help others live their dreams and you will live yours LISTEN MORE THAN YOU TALK We have one mouth and two ears because it is MORE important to listen than to talk. If you truly believe this business can help someone, let them know that. The key is to ASK questions and then listen. Ask them what do YOU want out of life? and then STOP TALKING (I know it s hard sometimes!!). You are not trying to sell them on being a Presenter. You are trying to see if this business is a good fit for them. As you continue the conversation you can use wording that conveys urgency, like: You couldn t have picked a better time to sign up because... After your conversation, gauge where they are at. Ask, on a scale of 1-10, 1 being you d like to be a great customer and 10 being you are ready to sign up, where are you? If they are anywhere above a 6, ask more questions to understand what their concerns are and what would need to happen to get them to a 10. THE FORTUNE IS IN THE FOLLOWUP I m going to tweak that one a little. The fortune is in the QUICK followup. Make sure you follow-up in a timely manner. If they don t sign up after your initial conversation, let them know you will contact them in a certain amount of time and then write down that information on your calendar. Don t stop inviting until they say no. Not now is not a no. Everyone has different timing. Ask them when would be a good time to follow-up with them and make sure you write it down in your calendar. Then follow through! Make a list of your prospective presenters and start building relationships with them. Check in with them... ask how their family is doing, etc... Let them know you are interested in them as a person, whether they decide to join or not. DEFAULT ON THE PRODUCT If they decide the business is not for them, get them started as a customer. Help them pick out a product to purchase. Who knows, they may turn into a Presenter down the road. DEMONSTRATE SUCCESS People are attracted to successful people. Use Facebook to talk about your business in a subtle way and you ll have people asking YOU about your business. I m so excited about this new venture Can t believe I was able to pay my whole car payment with my commission check Just promoted to a Blue Presenter - that s 3 promotions in just a few months! Can t believe I get paid to play with makeup! ** Connect and network with other direct sellers. You never know who is looking for something! ** BE POSITIVE in life, Facebook, and everywhere! People are attracted to positive, happy people. ** Show the value of the kit. If you have someone interested in buying lashes, let them know that for just $70 more they can upgrade to a Presenter kit. ABOVE ALL: don t get discouraged if you get NO s. Statistically it s ONE yes per TEN no s. PAGE 21

22 SPONSORING NEW PRESENTERS- --> help others live their dreams and you will live yours MORE SPONSORING TIPS: 1. NO SPAMMING: I want to start off with a tip about what NOT to do. When people first start recruiting, many of them decide to just spam everyone they know (and people they don t know). This is most common on Facebook. Let me tell you, you will NOT be successful if you are just posting info about your business opportunity on everyone s wall, in every group on Facebook, or sending mass s to your entire friend s list. What that will typically result in is you being banned from groups, unfriended by some people, and ignored by many. You have to have more finesse. Which brings us to our next tip 2. FIND YOUR TARGET MARKET: The people who are open to making money from home. The people who would have an interest in your particular company. Find THOSE people and start marketing direct sales info to them. They are the ones who are more likely to be interested in what you have to offer. 3. DON T WASTE TIME on a single potential recruit. You should not spend all your time trying to convince one person to join your team. And don t be disappointed when the ONE person you were sure would join doesn t. If you do you ll miss out on a bunch of other people who may be interested as well. Keep going through your list and just follow-up with those you ve already invited. 4. MAKE IT ABOUT THEM, not about you. Instead of wondering what your potential recruits can do for you, focus on what this business opportunity can do for them. How can it change THEIR lives? Ask them what THEIR dreams are. Ask them what they would do with an extra $300/month... and then what they would do with an extra $900/month.. and then $2000/month and then $10,000/month. Talk about THEM - make it all about THEM. 5. BUILD THE RELATIONSHIP. As you spend time with your recruits make sure that you are not viewing them as simply numbers or money signs. They are PEOPLE. Get to know them. Are they married? DO they have children? DO they work outside the home? These questions not only enable you to know who you will be working with it can also help you to motivate them throughout their journey. PAGE 22

23 HOW TO BUILD IT BIG- --> keys to a successful network marketing business Most people come into direct sales wanting to be successful. Since you ve read this Presenter Handbook this far in, I m assuming you are one of those go getters! Yeah!! So, I m going to tell you the truth because I also want you to be successful. You can t build a strong, successful business without sponsoring. Sure - you can earn money from commissions, but that will never be residual income, which is the true reward of a business like this. Residual income means you can have a slow month in sales and still earn a great check... and by great I don t mean just $2,000/month. I mean $5,000 - $10,000 and MORE! Sound good to you. Perfect!! So, let s debunk some myths to network marketing: MYTH #1: Slow & Steady Wins the Race. FALSE!! This may be true in corporate America where you go to school, get a job, and be patient as you work your way up. This does NOT apply in network marketing. Excitement and momentum creates growth- not slow & steady movement. In terms of the tortoise & the hare, you want to be the hare first - speed ahead with 100% energy, then the tortoise where you are steady, and then every once in a while be the hare again, and then the tortoise. That means you want to start building a team right away. MYTH #2: Just Recruit 1 Person a Month for a Successful Business. FALSE!! You can t build a strong, successful business by sponsoring 1 person a month. This business depends a lot on momentum, excitement, and seeing success right away. Sure, if you add one presenter each month by a year you ll have 12 presenters. But statistically only 1/3 of the presenters you sponsor will do much with the business. So, that gives you four people. What if those happen to be the LAST four your sponsor. That means you ll work 8 months without having any of the people you sponsor take off with it. Talk about frustrating. You may think this business isn t for you or that the company isn t the right fit, but the truth is you haven t talked to and invited enough people. You may give up and quit without realizing you just weren t given the right information. MYTH #3: JUST DON T QUIT & YOU LL BE SUCCESSFUL.. FALSE!! Well, you definitely don t want to quit... but come on. This is a business and you need to put in more than 10% or 20% effort. Just not quitting is not enough. That attitude only applies in corporate jobs where you can maybe get by just doing the minimum. To be stellar you need to put in effort. 80%-100% effort right at the beginning... or if you are already months into your business- put that effort in right now. Think of your business like an airplane. If you want to take off can you just put in 20% throttle or 20% throttle. NO. Will you move forward - yes... but you ll never get off the ground. I promise this business is much more fun and rewarding if you are flying. So, dig down, work hard, put in the 100% effort to get your business moving, and then you can pull back a little and watch it grow. PAGE 23

24 HOW TO BUILD IT BIG- --> keys to a successful network marketing business IT S A NUMBERS GAME It s really not about how talented you are or about how good at sales you are. It comes down to numbers. Have you talked to enough people and invited enough people to join you? That s the only secret! Those that are successful share the opportunity with more people. I want to encourage you to sponsor a minimum of 3-4/month (MINIMUM). If you want to build it BIG through, you ll want to sponsor more., Your first month you are filled with excitement and energy!! Use that to your advantage. Make it a goal to sponsor at least 3-5 people in your first month. Can you imagine the excitement and success you ll feel right away!! So, how many people do you need to talk with to get those numbers?? Remember, it s just math! About 1 out 10 people you invite to join will actually join. So, you need to be talking & invited people a month to get those numbers. Your odds will get better as you get better in talking with people. Eric Wore, author of Network Marketing Pro, goes even a step further. He surveyed top leaders in different companies and those that are earning 6 figures and more a year do something in common - they have a big burst of sponsoring. BIG SPONSORING. They sponsor between 16 & 25 people in a short amount of time months. They take a short amount of time and put in 100% effort and it pays off BIG TIME!! Imagine what your business would look like with a team of 20 presenters. If we do the math of 1/3 that will take off with the business- that s 4-5 solid business builders. You ll promote to a GREEN presenter within your first 1-2 months and if you teach your team to duplicate what you ve done, you ll be a Black Presenter before you know it. Even if JUST 4 of your presenters decide to do the same BIG SPONSORING that you ve done... 20x4 = 80 presenters JUST for those 4 legs, PLUS your own 20 - you ve got a team of 100 in just your first few months of the business. Talk about amazing momentum and success!! If you want to try this - talk with your upline for tips to help make this happen for you. One key truth to remember with network marketing: MASSIVE ACTION YIELDS MASSIVE RESULTS PAGE 24

26 FACEBOOK ACCOUNTS- --> using your profile or business page SETTING UP A BUSINESS FACEBOOK PAGE A Business Facebook Page gives you a professional presence on Facebook, but unless you plan on posting on a consistent basis, using your own profile is best Go to this page and click Create Page on the top right corner. Choose brand/product and then health/beauty Your Facebook page name or image MUST say something about you being an Independent Presenter and not give the illusion that you are representing the corporate page. Something like YouniquebyNichole or YouniquewithMichelle is fine. You can also use NaturalBeautybyAnnie or something similar. The name does NOT have to have your name in it. You can schedule posts by clicking on the little clock icon below the area you write in. Try to be consistent with posts. Add tutorials, specials, your accomplishments, and things that would add value to those that see the posts. Add inspirational and funny posts as well! The most important thing with a Facebook Page is to increase the reach of your posts. One way to do that is to increase your likes. There are lots of ways to increase your likes on your page, such as running promotions and giveaways. If you plan on using your business page, I highly recommend learning more from social media experts to help you increase your reach. OFFICE/BUSINESS MANAGEMENT * Print labels & marketing material * Record expenses * Organize office * Keep track of leads and customers Here are some websites where you can find out more great information: USING YOUR OWN PERSONAL PROFILE Many people actually feel that it s better and more beneficial to use your own personal profile. More people will see your personal profile posts, especially if you have a large friend base. The FIRST thing you want to post is a photo of you with the 3D lashes and something simple like: Found this awesome new product that makes my lashes longer. I just love it! Let me know if you want to find out more about it! (don t post your website! You don t want it to look like an ad!) Don t OVER post. You don t want your friends to get completely annoyed, lol! I would say keep 1 out of every 8-10 posts about your business. Be subtle! Talk about how you just paid your bills with your Younique money. Post your rank advancements. Welcome New Presenters to your team- all on your own profile. People will see your successes and you ll have people ask YOU about what you are doing and how you like it. Photos are great, but did you know the posts WITHOUT photos usually get more views! Try to make your posts interactive. The more interaction you have with your facebook community, the larger reach your posts will have. Funny posts and inspirational posts usually get a lot of likes and comments. PAGE 26

27 FACEBOOK ACCOUNTS --> using your profile or business page MORE TIPS FOR USING YOUR FACEBOOK PROFILE MAKE YOUR PROFILE PROFESSIONAL Add Younique to your job title and include your website. Make is EASY for people to find out what you are doing. Sharing your is a great idea. Reconsider what you post. If it s something that could be offensive, controversial, etc.. maybe keep it off facebook. Swearing isn t cool either. INCREASE YOUR FRIEND BASE Use facebook to enlarge your circle of influence. Look over the friend suggestions on the right side and see if there are people you d like to add. Consider adding clients as friends so that you can tag them and THEIR friends will see it. If you are friends with someone you can also post on their profile thanking them for their order. Friend EVERY single person you meet, know, went to school with, etc. Don t ever leave anyone out as they are potential customers, team members, referals (yes, even your ex boyfriend s girlfriend) BE POSITIVE, FUN & AUTHENTIC Share posts that draw likes and get comments - but again, stay authentic to YOU.. Share inspirational quotes, videos or share positive experiences you are having. Share things you are grateful for and things that make you happy. Be funny! Share appropriate images that make you laugh- those quirky ecards going around are great examples. KEEP IT SAFE *** FRIENDS vs. PUBLIC. Use common sense and be safe about what you share. Don t make personal things public. Don t give out your personal address on your profile or posts. You can read more about facebook safety here: INTERACT WITH YOUR CLIENTS You can include on your profile a comment that is a testimonial on the products, just shared with me how much she loves the AWAKE facial cleanser because it has caused all her acne to disappear. Yeah!! And if possiblealways show a photo. Ask clients to take photos of their results and share them with you, along with their personal review. STICK TO BUSINESS HOURS AND BE PRODUCTIVE Facebook can be a TIME SUCKER!! Stay focused and keep on task. If needed, use a timer! Set the timer for 30 minutes and work efficiently the whole time. Then get off and do something else. PAGE 27

28 FACEBOOK ACCOUNTS --> using groups to market your business WHY I USE GROUPS Many communities have set up selling/buying/trading groups basically imitate the idea of Craigslist: an online garage sale. Some limit it to used items, while other allow local businesses to advertise services. Some are secret or closed, others are open. All are FREE. Some of these groups may be small ( people) but other groups are massive (8,000+). Where else can you get in front of that many potentials in a short amount of time, from your own home? That s the power of Facebook!! Some of the TOP sellers & sponsors market on groups. Until our market is more saturated, this is a great way to advertise. JOIN GROUPS There are thousands of groups across the U.S. & Canada (and beyond once we expand) so start searching for them. You can start with local groups but then feel free to branch out to other areas. With Younique there are NO geographical restrictions. Search for words like, buy/sell/trade, online selling, online garage sale, tag sale (east coast), neighbors, friends, & the city/county name. You ll also notice that Facebook will suggest groups for you - ones that other people already belong to. You can also join Networking and direct sales groups as well. Be aware that if the group is OPEN your fb friends may see notifications of your postings. That s usually not a problem unless you belong to another direct sales company (or you don t want to bombard your friends with posts). Facebook will only allow you join so many groups a day, so don t go nuts and join 100 in a day. You ll be put in facebook jail which will limit what you can do on your account. START POSTING Here is an example of some posts you can add to a group. Make sure to include an awesome photo of eyes photos is all you need. Keep your posting to 1-3 sentences MAX. Peak the interest and have a great photo. Don t include your website right away. Use the post as a way to start a conversation with them. Examples: get AMAZING looking lashes without the expense & hassle of extensions and fake lashes. 1st coat goes on like Mascara-- 2nd coat has natural fibers from green tea leaves. 100% natural ingredients and GLUTEN FREE!!
