ROAD WARRIORS WWU has built a record behind a perfect record on the road the program has racked up over,00 airlines miles and over a thousand via bus this season, while extending its unbeaten streak on the road to 22 consecutive matches (21-0-1). THE NATIONAL RANKINGS WWU slipped to No. 12 in the national rankings after being listed in the top 3 in the previous nine polls this season held the top spot in the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II rankings for the first five weeks of the season finished the 2016 season as the No. 1 team in the nation after winning the NCAA II National Championship. WINNING STREAK SNAPPED the Vikings had their program and conference record 39-game winning streak snapped Oct. 28 in a 2-0 home loss to Concordia the 39-game winning streak was 4 th -longest in NCAA Division II history, and 40-game unbeaten streak was tied for 4 th -longest WWU went 69 days between defeats, Dec. 3, 201-Oct. 28, WWU HISTORY the Vikings established a program and state of Washington collegiate record with their 39 th consecutive victory on Oct. 26, 2017 at Northwest Nazarene the 39-game winning streak broke the previous record of 38 consecutive wins set by the Vikings under head coach Dominic Garguile (10 games in 1982, 14 in 1983 and 14 games in 1984). SERIES HISTORY here is a look at the all-time series history against the four teams that are competing in the GNAC Championships: Seattle Pacific WWU went 2-0 vs. the Falcons this year, notching a pair of 1-0 victories (10/ in Bellingham, 10/19 in Seattle) SPU leads the all-time , but WWU has won 8 straight (since 10/1/1) and undefeated in the last 1 games vs. the Falcons (12-0-3) WWU and SPU have met in the GNAC Championships in each of the last four seasons, with WWU leading (SPU won first two in PK shootout) WWU (2016) and SPU (2008) are the only GNAC teams to win the NCAA II Women s Soccer National Championship.
