Previously under the Manchester brand, the chipmaker geometry is a high performance insert in greater than 35 HRC and heavily interrupted cuts. Target Application As a compliment to the current PT geometry, the PH will offer a first choice for grooving and plunging in applications greater than 35 HRC and/or heavily interrupted cuts. The successful Manchester chipmaker geometry, pressed in and grades, will provide a distinct advantage in the field. Rear V geometry folds and breaks chips for ease of evacutation. Chip breaker bumps located near the corners, provide increased chip control in turning applications. 90 top and bottom clamping design provides maximum clamping surface and increased clamping pressure adding to insert stability in the cut.
