2 Page 1 Order notes Door heights may vary from standard heights depending on the floor finish. It is not always possible to establish the finished floor level when installing the casement! Notes to determine order information Glass doors can not be altered to a different dimension once delivered. Identify whether the in-situ casement is in accordance with all details of Austrian Standard ÖNORM B Determine the hinge reference line and the lock centre-line as well as the rebate depth in so far as the information contained in ÖNORM see page 7. The hinge reference line is the location of the inner thread axis in the casement. At the time of measurement it is necessary to account for any dimensional change that may result from floor covering, tiles, carpet etc. Such dimensions need to be subtracted from the casement dimension. Check the widths and heights at the corners and in the middle. Also check that the casement is plumb. Check that the floor has been laid flat and plumb to the door opening. Any change in elevation will require the door height to be changed accordingly. The Standard hardware type BS, as well as the types BSS and BDA are designed to fit Austrian Standard casements of wood or steel. Threaded hinge-bolts for wood and steel are provided. Casements deviating from Austrian Standard in particular missing threads at the hinge location (in steel casements) or insufficient rebate depth (in wooden casements) require the use of hardware type BD.

3 Page 2 Choose the side which will be hinged and the direction of opening. Be sure to account for future room use, furniture, equipment and pathway. Depending on the type of door and composition of glass, the visual effects can differ when viewed from inside to outside and vice versa. Please note that our standard product will only have the same optical appearance when the closing side is facing the same way as the inside of the hinge. Depending on your design intention, it is important to take the room situation into account when ordering. This will determine whether a uniform appearance is achieved from a particular view point. Installation notes for hardware are included in the packaging and can be used for DIN left or DIN right openings. Please use the following order form when ordering. This provides the necessary technical clarifications required for orders. A simplified form for multiple orders is also available for experienced professionals. It is therefore necessary to indicate the opening direction, the viewing side and the hinge inside when ordering asymmetrical compositions. Doors with symmetrical compositions do not need to indicate the hinge inside.
