7 62,66 mm Feed drive in X-axis (FRF ) In the longitudinal direction, the feed is derived from two electro servodrives controlled by system gantry. On both table sides electric servo-motor drives through the gearbox with two mutually hydraulic preloaded systems of toothed gears. Toothed pinions meshing to toothed rack. Feed drive in Y-axis (FRF 400) By series FRF(Q) 400 is the linear axis feed drive in cross direction ensured by independent electrical servomotors in master-slave connection on the feedbox with two pinions driving the rack. Feed drive in Y-axis (FRF ) By series FRF(Q) 200 to FRF(Q) 350. These servo-motors drive the ball screws with a pre-loaded nut through the belt transmission with toothed belt directly. 55 mm Feed drive in Z-axis (FRF ) The linear axis feed drive in vertical axis is from an electrical servomotor directly actuating a ball screw with a pre-loaded nut. The vertical screw is fitted with an electrical magnetic brake used for blocking movement in vertical axis. 125 mm

8 Measuring system of axes The measuring of axes in longitudinal "X", cross "Y" and vertical "Z" direction is by linear incremental scales. The programming unit is 0,001 mm. The measuring of rotary axes is by incremental rotary encoders. The programming unit is 0,0001. The scales are sealed by the compressed air distributor.

9 Principle of MASTER SLAVE drives connection The drives connection MASTER (superior)-slave (inferior) ensures automatic backlash elimination. Rapid feed backlash not eliminated Working feed and exact stop backlash is eliminated Rapid feed: both drives work in same direction of the movement by identical moment, backlash is not eliminated Working feed: both drives work in same direction of movement, but with difference their own torque (so called eliminating moment-in percentage of drive moment). The result is that the teeth of each pinion lean against contrary sides of teeth of rack. This eliminates the backlash with preload, corresponding to the preloaded moment. Exact stopping: both drives work in opposite sense of the movement ny identical moment, backlash is eliminated.

11 1030 mm Cross-rail Shown papameters belongs machine FRF 350 Cross rail is formed by a rigid casting that is firmly connected with the columns and forms a closed portal. On front vertical part is formed by the cross guides,by series FRF(Q) 200 to FRF(Q) 350 are provided with hardened strips (lower guideway) sticked on and hardended gibs By series FRF(Q) 400 is guide formed with profile gibs of linear roller bearings.

12 Its rear part is provided with sliding wedges and rolling blocks of combined type guides (by series FRF(Q) 200 to FRF(Q) 350), which enables the cross slide movement along the cross rail guideways. In front vertical part there are the guides for the vertical headstock movement, which are formed by the preloaded rolling blocks in combination with sliding adjustable elements (wedges) Cross slide x 20 mm By series FRF (Q) 400 : cross slide is equipped in the rear part with sliding wedges and rolling blocks of combined type guides, which enables the cross slide movement along the cross rail guideways. 13 Headstock

14 Headstock Main supporting part of the headstock is formed by a casting of a square section. By series FRF(Q) 200 to FRF(Q) 350 in the rear, there are guideway areas made of hardened gibes that allow a vertical movement of the headstock within the cross slide guideway. There is an area for clamping of interchangeable spindle heads in the front lower part of the headstock. Headstock by FRF(Q) 400 is in rear part equipped with profile gibs of linear roller bearing which allow a vertical movement of the headstock within the cross slide guideway.

15 Balancing of headstock The balancing of the headstock i made by highpressure hydraulical circuit. Its main parts are hydraulic cylinder, supporting headstock and three connected pressure accumulators. The circuit is equipped by visual and automatic control of the pressure. The pressurizing of the balancing systém is made by multiplier by oil from hydraulical aggregate which is placed on the crossrail. Balancing circuit

17 Principle of positioning by front Hirth tooth system This principle is used for positioning and clamping of two reciprocal parts. On each part (eg. headstock and spindle head, or fixed and rotary part of rotary table) there is placed one wheel crown. The positioning of two wheel crowns: Both parts with wheel crown must be pulled up axially and drawed up. It is udes by interchangeable spindle heads, rotary tables and disengaging couplings.

18 Machine lubrication Principle of central lubrication Lubrication aggregate Central oil lubrication each linear axis X, Y and Z has its own lubrication aggregate. The lubrication aggregates are placed on the side of the right column below the panel of balancing circuit. All lubricated points (parts of roller guideways, buts of ball screws and upper roller bearing in which is placed ball screw) are equipped with distributing valves dispensers. The amount of oil distributed by the dispensers to each lubricated point is regulated by frequency of switching of own lubricating agrregate. The pressure increase in the system will cause expression of the oil to lubricated points. At the end of particular lubricating line there are pressure switches, controlling the pressure increase after operating of aggregate.
