7 COCOS KEELING ISLAND NOTES The first Cocos Keeling Island uniface notes were printed on sheepskin in 1858, to pay the Malayan workers who were employed there. A new series was released, also printed very crudely on sheepskin, dated 1879 and 1888, these were issued in denominations of copper rupees hand signed by J. Clunies-Ross. The Standard Catalogue of World Paper Money shows the issue didn't commence until , which is completely incorrect. 13 AUSTRALIA 2015 RED CROSS Throughout the course of the First World War, recruitment campaigns ran throughout Australia encouraging women to join Red Cross or to volunteer their services at the home front. Posters were an integral part of these campaigns. 17 1902 CORONATION PROOF SET Edward VII was crowned King after the death of Queen Victoria in The 1902 British Proof Set was the only one struck during Edward's short reign and was issued to commemorate his coronation.
