Registration and Workshop Information

1 The 2017 MABA convention will be hosted by the Indianapolis Bonsai Club July 7 & 8, 2017 at the Clarion Hotel Waterfront Plaza and Conference Center on the West side of Indianapolis. We will be offering three different registration options: Family Registration, Full Registration and Daily Registration. All the information you need for registration and the conference schedule is below. Registration and Workshop Information Family registration: Two people from the same family can register for the convention at the same time and get a reduced registration fee. Both receive full registrations to the convention. Only one card or check will be accepted for the registration, and all correspondence regarding the convention will be sent to only one address. Full Registration includes: All lectures and demonstrations, vendor area, exhibits, raffles, auctions, Saturday banquet, and silent observer to all workshops. Daily Registration includes: Lectures and demonstrations, vendor area, exhibits, raffles, and auctions for the day of registration. Registration Refund Policy: A full refund will be provided for cancellations received 10 days prior to the convention date. Workshop Priority: Workshops are allocated by the date of registration according to the postmark or date of the registration. Full registrants will have priority over daily registrants for workshops. Workshop Tree Selection: Selection of which tree workshop participants will receive will be by a random draw at the beginning of the workshop. Notification: Successful workshop applicants will be notified as to which workshops they are assigned. Refunds of excess payment made by check will be refunded at the convention during registration. Credit cards will only be charged for the workshops they are assigned. Workshop Refund Policy: A confirmed workshop slot refund will be provided for cancellations provided a replacement participant has paid to acquire the cancelled slot. Tools: Participants must supply their own tools and supplies for any workshop they sign up for. This includes wire and turntable if desired. Exhibition: We will have a judged exhibition during the convention. See sheet 5 and the website for additional information. Payment: registration form along with credit card information to registration@mababonsai.org or Mail registration form with check or credit card information to: MABA Larkspur Ln Columbus, IN Hotel Accommodations: We have arranged for special MABA 2017 convention rates at the Clarion Hotel Waterfront Plaza and Conference Center on the West side of Indianapolis at the I 465 West / I 74 interchange. You are responsible for booking your accommodations. Accommodations rates are not included in the conference registration fee. Rate: $85.00 per room, per night + tax. In order to qualify for the MABA 2017 Convention rates and ensure availability, you must book your accommodations by June 16, After this date space and rates are not guaranteed. Trees with evidence of disease or pests will not be allowed in the exhibition.
