The log carries 2 dingoes, a Tasmanian Devil, a wombat in a lifejacket, a kangaroo and joey and a frog with a drink can in his hand. This is illustration is the cover of the book. PL 44 are accompanying overlays - one tracing paper, one Mylar(?). Final artwork Colour pencil 31.2 x 50.8 cm In the foreground a Frilled Neck lizard displays. In the background two dingoes sit on round rocks (Devils Marbles(?). Noted as "4" and "5". PL 45 paper overlay with a tear that has been repaired with adhesive tape that will discolour over time - too difficult to remove. 2 Final artwork Colour pencil 30.7 x 50.8 cm Two dingoes, one with a teapot in his mouth, float on a log on which is perched a picnic basket. A seagull flies overhead as 2 fish jump out of the water. Noted as "8" and "9". PL 47 Final artwork Colour pencil 31.2 x 50.8 cm In the foreground a seagull flies with a fish in its beak and in the background two dingoes sit on a floating log with their picnic basket. Noted as "10" and "11". PL 48 tracing paper overlay that has a two tears on the middle bottom edge, 1.8 cm and 6.0 cm. Final artwork Colour pencil 30.4 x 50.8 cm In the foreground, a frog wearing an Hawaiian shirt leaps in the air beside a pink hibiscus while two dingoes float on a log far below. Noted as "12" and "13". Final artwork Colour pencil 30.7 x 50.8 cm A dingo clings to the top of the "mast" of the log as his companion and a frog look on. 3 Final artwork Colour pencil 30.8 x 50.8 cm In the foreground is a squawking cockatoo while in the background the two dingoes, the frog and a cockatoo, sitting on top of the "mast", sail away on their log. Noted as "16" and "17". PL 51 paper overlay. The piece is mounted on a further layer of cardboard with a piece cut out of the bottom right part of the illustration. Final artwork Colour pencil 31.0 x 50.8 cm A wombat in a life jacket balances with his feet on a log and clutching a jetty with his front paws. Noted as "18" and "19". PL 52 tracing paper overlay that has a 6 cm tear at the middle of the bottom edge. It has been repaired with adhesive tape. 4 Final artwork Colour pencil 31.3 x 50.8 cm A leaping Tasmanian Devil, wearing a pink scarf, clutches a set of binoculars and a life buoy. Noted as "22" and "23". PL 54 are two accompanying tracing paper overlays. There is also a 3.5 cm diagonal cut on the bottom edge under the kangaroos. Final artwork Colour pencil 31.6 x 50.8 cm A Tasmanian Devil holds onto a rope attached to a corner of a red sail. A leaping kangaroo with a joey holds onto a belt around a swag. Noted as "25". PL 55 Final artwork Colour pencil 31.1 x 50.9 cm In the foreground, a pod of seven dolphins leap into the air with the sailing log and its animals moving at speed across the water. Noted as "28" and "29". PL 56 Adhesive tape has been used to hold down a surface tear on the face of the piece (not removed). There are two small cuts on the edge near this repair. Some adhesive tape and/or glue marks on the back of the piece. There is a large, 26 cm, tear across the accompanying Pamela Lofts Sail Away, page 4 of 5

High above, a flying cockatoo screeches amid a mass of streamers and balloons. Noted as "31". Final artwork Colour pencil 31.3 x 50.8 cm Two dingoes, wearing party hats, play among streamers, a balloon and a party whistle. Noted as "32", "Inside Back Cover" and "Blank I. B. C."
