The printed title of the book has been pasted to the illustration. watercolour 37.5 x 50.1 cm Four hippopotamuses in dresses sit near a tree. One is reading a book, there is a fifth hippopotamus in the tree. This illustration forms the title pages of the book. Noted as pages 2 and 3. KN 066 Fair condition. There is a large stain within the area of the illustration where the title may have been attached. There are other marks as well. The edges are discoloured. Numerous brown stains along the bottom edge as well as some discolouration along the watercolours 34.3 x 50.1 cm 3 illustrations. 1. A flying blue, green and yellow parrot. 2. The illustration of the queen has been pasted to the work x 51.0 cm 2 illustrations. 1. Little Red Riding Hood looks at the wolf dressed in Grandma's clothing. 2. A lion with rings on hid fingers. This is noted as pages 120 and 121. KN 121 Fair condition. Slight discolouring overall. The top left corner has been removed (17.5 x 31.8 cm) - an illustration of a girl under an umbrella under a rainbow. Black ink x 50.9 cm 4 illustrations. 1. A young child in a jump suit floats while holding 6 balloons. 2. A small (Granma's) cottage. 3. A bear holding a fishing rod while fishing in a puddle of water. 4. A sailor rowing a small boat. This is noted as pages 122 and 123. KN 122 Fair condition. Slight discolouring overall. These illustrations are on two separate pieces of cardboard but have been separated after removing the sticky tape which has discoloured the pieces.
