7 Suggested file folder layout for this lapbook. It is also suggested but not necessary that the booklets be printed on colored paper. One half of another file folder cut in half. Tape One half of another file folder cut in half. Tape Above: open file folder. You can add on to the original file folder. Take another file folder and cut in half. Tape each piece of the folder that you cut in half at the top of the original file folder so you have two pieces that fold down into the original lapbook.

8 Take another file folder and cut it in half as you did above and do the same thing on the bottom of the file folder so it looks like this. One half of another file folder cut in half. 9 If you still need more room in your lapbook you can add more pages. Take another file folder and cut it in half and add one piece to each side of the lapbook with tape. All the pieces can be folded down into the original file folder and stored easily. Add more pieces to your lapbook if needed by adding to the sides or the top and bottom using additional file folders. One half of another file folder cut in half. 10 LOVE What is love? The Christian loves his Bible. In short, we love whatever gives us pleasure and delight, whether animal or intellectual; and if our hearts are right, we love God above all things, as the sum of all excellence and all the attributes which can communicate happiness to intelligent beings. In other words, the Christian loves God with the love of pleasure; satisfaction and gratification in his attributes, the love of benevolence towards the interest of his kingdom, and the love of gratitude for favors received. 11 How can I be more loving? This lapbook is meant to be started on February 1 st and finished on February 14 th, Valentines Day. You get two booklets to put together for each day. One booklet has a Bible verse about love to copy into a booklet. The next booklet has the question, How can I be more loving? on it for your child to answer inside the booklet. You will probably want to start the lapbook one day early so you can put together the file folder, put on the file folder cover and do the first booklet, What is love?. There is a recommended file folder layout on the previous pages. Booklets can be placed into the lapbook, where desired. Cut out and glue the Happy Valentines Day! into your lapbook!

Write one item on each blank heat. Next cut out all three hearts. Stack the smallest heart on the medium heart and stack the small and medium heart on the large heart and staple at the top. Glue into lapbook.

Now put together the pocket to hold the hearts. Cut out pocket and fold in half. Lightly glue the bottom and side of the pocket and let dry. When dry insert the three hearts that you cut out and set aside and glue into lapbook.

Cut out both hearts and hole punch the bottom of the top heart and the top of the bottom heart where indicated. Next, take a piece of ribbon or string and thread it through the holes and tie heart together with a bow. Glue into lapbook. Directions for octagon booklet. Cut out booklet and fold in half. Write inside. Fold tab over and glue into lapbook.

28 Day Nine Directions for scripture booklet. Cut out pocket and glue into lapbook. To do this, cut out pocket and fold tabs towards the back apply glue on each tab and glue into lapbook and let dry. Next, write scripture on heart paper. When finished, cut out paper and fold in half and insert into pocket. Directions for rectangle booklet. Cut out, fold in half, write inside and glue into lapbook.

Fold flaps over so they cover your writing. Next, take 2 pieces of ribbon or string and thread one piece through each heart and tie it. Next, tie ribbon together in a bow so flaps are shut. Next, cut out hearts and glue two hearts to the front of each flap. Glue into lapbook. Directions for heart strips booklet. Write one way you can be more loving on each strip. Cut out strips and color in hearts if desired. Next, cut out pocket and fold in half and glue the short side on the right and the long side on the top and let dry. When dry, insert strips with hearts. Hearts will stick out and yes, pocket is to be sideways. Glue into lapbook.

47 Optional As an optional activity choose the size hearts of your choice from the following five pages and write a message on the hearts and decorate them and give them to someone you love and/or use them to further decorate your lapbook. Remember if you choose to decorate the hearts be creative and use pens, pencils, glitter, fabric and more. (I would recommend you copy the hearts onto card stock first before decorating.)
