3 Suggested file folder layout for this lapbook. It is also suggested that the booklets be printed on colored paper. One half of another file folder cut in half. Tape One half of another file folder cut in half. Tape Above: open file folder. You can add on to the original file folder. Take another file folder and cut in half. Tape each piece of the folder that you cut in half at the top of the original file folder so you have two pieces that fold down into the original lapbook.

4 Take another file folder and cut it in half as you did above and do the same thing on the bottom of the file folder so it looks like this. One half of another file folder cut in half. 5 If you still need more room in your lapbook you can add more pages. Take another file folder and cut it in half and add one piece to each side of the lapbook with tape. All the pieces can be folded down into the original file folder and stored easily. Add more pieces to your lapbook if needed by adding to the sides or the top and bottom using additional file folders. One half of another file folder cut in half. 7 Thanksgiving What is thanksgiving? The act of rendering thanks or expressing gratitude for favors or mercies. A public celebration of divine goodness; also, a day set apart for religious services, specially to acknowledge the goodness of God, either in any remarkable deliverance from calamities or danger, or in the ordinary dispensation of his bounties. The practice of appointing an annual thanksgiving originated in New England. D E S C R I B E T H A N K S G I V I N G Write on lined portion of booklet. Cut out, Fold on dotted lines so that the flaps cover your writing. Next, punch a hole in each star. Take a string or ribbon and tie a piece through each hole you have punched. Next, close flaps and tie the two pieces or sting or ribbon together. Glue into lapbook.

8 What am I thankful for? Write one thing you are thankful for everyday starting November 1st and ending November 25th Thanksgiving Day. There are 2 booklets for each day. One booklet is a thankful booklet in which you fill out what you are thankful for. The other booklet is a scripture booklet in which you will write a Bible verse about thanksgiving. This can be done as stated previously starting November 1st ending November 25th or any 25 day period. Glue the above Happy Thanksgiving in your lapbook if desired.

9 Day One For scroll booklets. Write what you are thankful for on the lined portion of the scrolls. Use as many or few scrolls as you wish you do not have to use all three. Next, cut out scrolls. Stack with cover on top and staple together at the top then glue into lapbook. For scripture booklet. Write scripture on lined portion of booklet. Cut out booklet. Fold flaps on dotted lines so they cover your writing. On the outside of the flaps write, "Psalm 26:7" Glue into lapbook.

10 Day one. What am I thankful for?

11 Write this verse about thanksgiving. Psalm 26:7 That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works.

12 Day Two For oval booklet. Cut out, fold in half, write what you are thankful for inside and glue into lapbook. For scripture booklet. Cut out, fold in half and write scripture inside. Fold tabs on dotted lines onto front cover. Glue into lapbook.

14 Write this verse about thanksgiving. Psalm 50:14-15 Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High: And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me. Psalm 50:14-15

15 Day Three For triangle booklet. Cut out booklet, fold in half, write what you are thankful for inside and glue into lapbook. For scripture booklet. Cut out booklet and fold in half. Write scripture inside. Glue into lapbook.

17 Write this verse about thanksgiving. Psalm 69:30 I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving. Psalm 69:30

18 Day Four For thankful booklet. Write what you are thankful for on th lined portion of the booklet. Next, cut out both pieces of the booklet. Stack both pieces of the booklet with cover on top and staple on the left side. Glue into lapbook. For Scripture booklet. Cut out booklet. Write scripture on lined portion of booklet. Fold flaps on dotted lines so that they cover your writing. Write "Psalm 95:2" on the outside of the flaps. Glue into lapbook.

19 Day four. What am I thankful for?

20 Write this verse about thanksgiving. Psalm 95:2 Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. Write Psalm 95:2

21 Day Five For circle booklet. Write four things you are thankful for. Write one thing in each triangle section on the bottom circle book. Cut out both pieces of the booklet. Next cut out triangle from the cover of the top circle. Next, take a hole punch and hole punch through the star on both pieces of the booklets. Lastly, take a brand and secure both pieces of the circle. Glue into lapbook. For the scripture booklet. Write scripture on lined portion of booklet. Cut out booklet and fold in half. On the outside of the booklet write "Psalm 100:4" Glue into lapbook.

22 Cut out this triangle. Day five. What am I thankful for?

23 Write this verse about thanksgiving. Psalm 100:4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

24 Day Six For octagon booklet. Write four things you are thankful for. Write one on each blank octagon. Next, cut out booklet. Cut on dotted lines. Next, fold flaps over so that they cover your writing. On the outside of each flap write "I am thankful for...". When completed glue into lapbook. For scripture booklet. Write scripture on lined portion of booklet. Cut out both booklet pieces. Stack with cover on top and staple at the top. Glue into lapbook.

26 Write this verse about thanksgiving. Psalm 107:22 And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing. Psalm 107:22

27 Day Seven For thankful booklet. Cut out, fold in half and write what you are thankful for inside. For scripture booklet. Cut out booklet and fold in half and write inside. Fold tab on doted line. Glue into lapbook.

28 Day seven. What am I thankful for?

29 Write this verse about thanksgiving. Psalm 116:17 I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD. Psalm 116:17

30 Day Eight For heart booklet. Cut out booklet, fold in half and write inside. Glue into lapbook. For scripture booklet. Write scripture on lined paper. Cut out and fold in half. Next cut out pocket fold in half and lightly glue sides but not the top. On the front of the pocket write, "Psalm 147:7-8". Next take the folded piece of scripture paper and insert it into pocket. Glue into lapbook.

32 Write this verse about thanksgiving. Psalm 147:7-8 Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God: Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh grass to grow upon the mountains.

34 Day Nine For thankful booklet. Write two things you are thankful for. Write one on each blank square. Next, Cut booklet out. Fold on dotted lines so that both flaps cover the middle square. Glue into lapbook. For scripture booklet. Cut out booklet, fold in half and write scripture inside. Glue into lapbook.

35 Day nine. What am I thankful for?

36 Write this verse about thanksgiving. Isaiah 51:3 For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody. 37 Day Ten For thankful booklet. Cut out, fold in half. Write what you are thankful for inside booklet, glue into lapbook. For scripture booklet. Cut out and fold in half. Write scripture inside. Glue into lapbook.

Cut out both pieces of the booklet. Stack both pieces with cover on top. Staple on the left side. Glue into lapbook.

43 Day Twelve For thankful booklet. Write two things you are thankful. Next cut out all three pieces of the booklet. Punch a hole in each star. Next, stack booklet with cover on top, insert a brad through hole and glue into lapbook. For scripture booklet. Write scripture on lined portion of booklet. Cut out booklet. then cut out the white area between the two heart with an exacto knife. Glue into lapbook.

44 Day twelve. What am I thankful for?

45 Write this verse about thanksgiving. 2 Corinthians 4:15 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God. 2 Corinthians 4:15 Cut this section out with an exacto knife.

46 Day Thirteen For thankful booklet. Cut out booklet. Cut on solid blue lines. Fold booklet in half. Write three things you are thankful for. Write one item under each flap inside booklet. When finished fold tabs on dotted lines. Glue into lapbook. For scripture booklet. Write scripture on lined portion of booklet. Next cut out both pieces of the booklet. Stack both pieces together with cover on top and staple on the left. Glue into lapbook.

47 Day thirteen. What thankful am I for?

49 Day Fourteen For thankful booklet. Write three things you are thankful for. Write one thing on each heart. Cut out and glue into lapbook. For scripture booklet. Write scripture on lined portion of booklet. Cut out booklet. Fold hearts on dotted lines towards middle of booklet, so that they cover your writing. Write "Philippians 4:6" on the outside of the hearts. Glue into lapbook.

50 Day fourteen. What am I thankful for?

51 Write this verse about thanksgiving. Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

52 Day Fifteen For thankful booklet. Cut out booklet, fold in half. Write what you are thankful for inside booklet. Fold tab on dotted line. Glue into lapbook. For scripture booklet. Write scripture on lined portion of booklet. Cut out booklet. Punch a hole through each smiley face. Next, take a piece of string or ribbon and tie a piece through each hole that you punch out. Next, fold flaps on dotted lines towards the middle so the flaps cover your writing. Tie the two pieces of string together, so flaps are closed. Glue into lapbook.

53 Day fifteen. What am I thankful for?

54 Write this verse about thanksgiving. Colossians 2:6-7 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

55 Day Sixteen For thankful booklet. Cut out, fold in half and write what you are thankful for inside. Glue into lapbook. For scripture booklet. Cut out, fold in half and write inside. Fold tab on dotted line and glue into lapbook.

58 Day Seventeen For thankful booklet. Write four things you are thankful for. Write one thing in each rectangle. Fold like an accordion and glue into lapbook. For scripture booklet. Cut out and fold in half. Write scripture inside. Fold tab on dotted line and glue into lapbook.
