No sound. Bebot This is a singing robot, lots of weird sounds to like or not! Take fingers off the screen and he suddenly stops singing! Touch the screen and make the wacky robot sing. Switch Apps Following my list of switch apps in the last issue, I have some more information sent from Special iapps, a non-profit social enterprise company from Durham up

As Apple's switch support take priority, it is necessary to turn this off (in the Settings app), in order to use the support provided by individual apps.

6 Switch Apps Following my list of switch apps in the last issue, I have some more information sent from Special iapps, a non-profit social enterprise company from Durham up north! Special iapps We, like other developers, have found that although Apple introduced built-in switch support in ios 7, this is too difficult to use for many children. Our own switch support works in all versions of ios that we support (currently ios 6.1 to ios 8.4), and is tailored for each app. As Apple's switch support take priority, it is necessary to turn this off (in the Settings app), in order to use the support provided by individual apps. 8 Autumn Loom A very simple autumnal art weaving activity found at the lovely activity village website This is a very inclusive weaving as everyone can manage to drop a leaf, twig or acorn into the wool weaving. The branch can be planted into a bucket to go outside for autumnal cheer. All you need are: a large v-shaped branch or one similar, different types of string, raffia or wool, a collection of leaves, fruits, feathers, small twigs or barks found on a walk. How to weave: Simply weave around the branch using chosen materials. Make sure there is a hole in the top in which to drop items. Tie the ends of the weaving wools to the branch when finished. Now drop or weave autumnal items into the woven part. Thread your leaves, seeds, feathers and anything else you like into the yarn. Stand the loom in a pot of soil or gravel to display for all to see. 8

You will need: large bottle of cheap hair gel - light colour, sturdy Ziploc bags, small objects to insert - these could match a theme such as fish, stars, frogs, a story book or poem, roll of sturdy carpet tape. Method: fill bag with hair gel, not too full, insert small items - not too many, so they show clearly, zip up the bag, edge with carpet tape to secure contents. Now read! You can end this visual demonstration with a transition by singing Ring Around the Rosy. For me, that song always comes to mind when I see Henri Matisse s The Dance.
