1 OCEAN COUNTY LIBRARY Connecting People Building Community June 2017 Little Egg Harbor Branch 290 Mathistown Rd., Little Egg Harbor, NJ Telephone: Dear Parents, The summer reading club is starting June 19 th and runs through September 11 th at the Ocean County Library- Little Egg Harbor Branch. The theme this year is Build a Better World. When children do not read over the summer months they can fall back on their reading levels. Summer reading can boost your child s achievement. Please encourage your child to register at The Friends of the Little Egg Harbor Library will be raffling off free prizes this summer as part of the Summer Reading Club. Each child will get a free raffle ticket for every 5 books that they read over the summer for the chance to win: a 20 inch bicycle, a scooter or Lego kit. After reading their books they need to enter the title and post a review on the website to be eligible for a free raffle ticket that will be given to them at the Little Egg Harbor Library Children s desk. Also, the Lakewood BlueClaws Baseball team is offering a bookmark for when a child or teen reads 5 books. After the child or teen posts book reviews to the website, they will receive a bookmark from the Library that can be exchanged for a ticket to the August 29 th game. The child or teen is then eligible to march in the parade around the field before the game. See you at the Ocean County Library this summer! If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me at the Little Egg Harbor Library. Sincerely, Donna Majchrzak Youth Services Librarian
