All test conditions can be set and displayed only on 1 to 2 screens. High operability is realized in combination with the chassis design taken the user-friendliness into account. MANUAL mode Test conditions setting IEC (Test level) mode SWEEP mode MANUAL mode screen which is used most frequently. Since Histogram is also displayed, setting of tests conditions can be seen intuitively Selectable test conditions like the polarity switching are set by ON/ OFF of the buttons. s as numerical setting can be easily input with the ten-key which is displayed by touch onto the screen. Tests conditions defined by IEC is preset. In the injection to power supply lines, the presets are the output voltages (0.5kV, 1.0kV, 2.0kV and 4.0kV) and the burst frequency (5kHz / 100kHz) A test mode to preset the output voltage and variation of the burst frequency, and automatically perform the test. The voltage variation is set from 500V to 2500V per 250V step. This is efficient function to judge malfunction point of EUT and can also set variation of conditions for the output voltage, burst frequency, polarity, injection phase.
3 EMC TESTS EQUIPMENTS CATALOGUE Screen Configuration Set either IEC standard or MANUAL on MENUE screen and do various parameters like voltage, number of pulse (PULSE), phase angle. Conditions of SWEEP can be also set in MANUAL. In SEQUENCE, possible to call tests conditions (Units) set in MANUAL and combine the units up to 18 steps (Program). Then, one set of the steps can be programmed up to 15 sets. Easy setting for Standard test The setting is only selection from the preset levels Detailed setting is also easy Various conditions like voltage, number of pulse, phase angle can be set in MANUAL and possible to memorize them Easy to understand the process Set test conditions is easily displayed. Correction values in Corrigendum 2 are also displayed. Easy setting for sequence test Call test conditions set in MANUAL and perform them sequentially Accurate waveform realized by high voltage high frequency technology High accurate and stable output is realized by reviewing the circuit and element in the past entirely, and gathering the analog technology of the high voltage / high frequency. Consequently, it can be responded to diversified EMC environment with the improvement and upgrade of the output voltage to 4.8kV from 4.5kV and the burst pulse frequency to 2MHz form 1MHz as well as realization of the high accurate output waveforms from the CDN. 8 Waveform verification from CDN OUT (In case of using A and AT-810) Remove protection cover of the line output terminal block EUT LINE OUTPUT and the screws of the injection phases. The lines should be connected as thick and short as possible. In case of the verifi cation for single phase three-line with FNS-AX3-B50, connect L/N/PE. Recommendable output wiring from CDN is 0.75mm2 AWG#18 Confi rm correction to Corrigendum 2 output from CDN is effective in the panel on UTIITY. If not, the peak voltage may not be satisfi ed with the specifi cation. Insert adaptor for CDN OUT ( A) into reference grounding socket on the terminal block straightly and fix the fixture and screw with a screwdriver. Connect adaptor for CDN OUT ( A) and input connector of AT-810 with a coaxial cable (equipped with AT-810) (NMHVP- NMHVP. Connect output connector of AT-810 and input of the oscilloscope (Insert 20dB attenuator along the necessity). Set 50Ω terminal to input of the oscilloscope since output impedance of AT-810 is 50Ω. Confirm the coupling must be set to the all lines. START the generator. Place an insulating support (whose thickness is 10cm) onto the ground reference plane and put EUT on the support (so that the EUT can be isolated from the ground reference plane). Connect LINE OUT on the front panel of the simulator to EUT with a cable (whose length is 50cm) and start operation of EUT. Set the test conditions (like the burst voltage, etc.) and start the test. Test Method to Interconnection Lines Put the simulator onto ground reference plane which is connected to the protective ground and connect SG terminal on the front panel to the ground reference plane. Place the coupling clamp (Option) onto the ground reference plane connect ground terminal of the clamp to the ground reference plane. If the line cable is arranged higher than the ground reference plane, add the plane (See following figure). Connect PULSE OUT connect to connector of the coupling clamp. Pass the line cable through the coupling clamp. Adjust the clamping part so that the coupling capacity can be largest (space between the cable and clamp can be minimum). 10 5. Test Procedure The test shall be carried out on the basis of a test plan that shall include the verification of the performances of the EUT as defined in the technical specification. Type of test that will be carried out; Test level; Polarity of the test voltage (both polarities are mandatory); Internal or external generator; Duration of the test not less than 1 min Number of applications of the test voltage; EUT's ports to be tested; Representative operating conditions of the EUT; Sequence of application of the test voltage to the EUT's ports, each one after the other or to cables belonging to more than one circuit, etc.; Auxiliary equipment. 6. Evaluation of Test Results and Test Report Classify tests results as below in terms of specifications and operating conditions of EUT. 1) Normal performance within limits specifi ed by the manufacturer, requestor or purchaser; 2) Temporary loss of function or degradation of performance which ceases after the disturbance ceases, and from which the equipment under test recovers its normal performance, without operator intervention; 3) Temporary loss of function or degradation of performance, the correction of which requires operator intervention; 4) Loss of function or degradation of performance which is not recoverable, owing to damage to hardware or software, or loss of data.
