1 Terminal block marking 1 From Phoenix Contact General information Explicit labeling of electrical connecting elements and control cabinet components are requirements which system design must face up to. Just as is the case with comprehensive technical documentation, precise and full labeling of all operating equipment increases the availability of switchgear and facilitates maintenance. Conformity in system marking, thus also enabling identification in the technical documentation, is prescribed in EN VDE 011, part 1. Various ZB systems are available for marking Phoenix Contact terminal blocks. The marking strips can be easily separated by hand. The clamping feet guarantee that the labeling remains firmly in place, even in the case of shock and vibration loads in machines and vehicles. The terminal block markers are provided printed or unprinted, in strips or in the form of sheets, and in standard white or colored, as desired. The unprinted markers can be printed individually with the plotter or manually with a marker pen. The new ZBFT strips have been specially developed for labeling with commercially available thermal transfer printers and are an economical alternative to the plastic markers. To complete the labeling, different systems are offered for group marking that provide a better overview in the control cabinet and thereby make wiring and troubleshooting easier. 2 Markable terminal block markers The ZBFT terminal block markers can be labeled with commercially available thermal transfer printers, and can be inserted in all marking grooves of the modular terminal blocks from Phoenix Contact. Perforated in all common pitches, they can be easily separated and assembled by hand. Efficient labeling For rational labeling of Phoenix Contact modular terminal blocks, we have the tested -part ZB system. In addition to time-saving marking, it also provides an attractive appearance. Product series, such as spring-cage terminal blocks and Micro-Terminal, are labeled with the flat, space-saving -section ZBF system. The labels for terminal blocks can be supplied in different printing variants according to the terminal width. Marker carrier The STP... marker carriers expand the marking options for double and three-level spring-cage terminal blocks of the ST series. GBS marker carriers can be used for space-saving and visual separation of groups of terminal blocks. PCB terminal block marking The self-adhesive SK marker strips can be applied to all PCB terminal blocks and COMBICON plug connectors. They are supplied as cards in all common terminal pitches. In addition to the standard cards, individual custom imprints can also be supplied at short notice. Mini-strip terminal marking The BN marker pins are offered loose or as a -section BN-ZB Zack marker strip with and without printing. They are for labeling the mini-strip and device terminal blocks as well as the molded feed-through terminal blocks. Warning labels and warning covers Warning labels serve to cover and identify mains terminal blocks. They prevent a terminal point from being accidentally actuated. Self-adhesive warning labels identify housings which cannot be easily recognized as containing electrical equipment. Phoenix Contact

3 Marking service from Phoenix Contact Cost pressure and high flexibility in modern-day control cabinet design make it necessary to rationalize production by using new concepts. For this purpose, Phoenix Contact offers a marking service for the marking of all control cabinet components. The terminal block marking data, for example, is entered manually in the CMS-MARK-WIN-DEMO labeling software or imported from conventional CAE systems and Clip PROJECT software. The order, together with your order data and marking data, is then sent by fax to Phoenix Contact. All other marking materials, such as labels, markers and plastic markers can also be ordered through the marking service of Phoenix Contact. 4 Terminal block marker, ZBFT for thermal transfer printer ZBFT... The ZBFT terminal block markers are the most inexpensive alternative for labeling terminal strips. They can be labeled in all conventional thermal transfer printers and can also be pressed into the center and side groove of the terminal blocks in the same way as the proven flat Zack marker strip ZBF. The strips are available both perforated and unperforated in many different colors for simple manual separation in the pitches,,, 8 and mm for universal applications. The -section ZB marker strips can be divided conveniently at any point. They are available with horizontal and vertical marking. Other pitches and labeling are possible on request.
