Depending on whether it is covered or not, the limit switch outputs a predefined current along the same cable. Short-circuiting or cable breakage is identified when the current lies outside the predefined ranges. The interface converts up to four limit signals into a PROFIBUS-PA signal that is read in cyclically by the PROFIBUS-DP master. Liquiphant M level limit switch with FEL 56 electronic insert. After max. 2 s it assumes the validity status GOOD. Operating Conditions Installation Installation instructions Location Bus connection The device may be installed, connected, commissioned, operated and maintained by qualified and authorised personnel only, under strict observance of these operating instructions, any relevant standards, legal requirements, and, where appropriate, the certificate. Check that the power is switched off before connecting the limit switches. Further information on the installation and commissioning of a PROFIBUS-PA segment is to be found in BA 198F Max. 20 m from mounting point of the Liquiphant M If the interface is not directly connected to a T-box, it is recommended that the spur be kept and short as possible.
