Iformatio regardig successful cadidates or wiers will ot be give out over the phoe. Details of successful etrats will be published i Hairdressers Joural Iteratioal ad o hji.co.uk. Award wiers will be aouced at the Awards ceremoy o Moday 27 November 2017 at Grosveor House, a JW Marriott Hotel, Park Lae, Lodo. Etries i the Avat Garde category caot submit the same images ito ay other category. Six fialists will be selected i each category with the exceptio of British Hairdresser of the Year. Wiers recogised i the Hall of Fame ca re-eter their chose category after a two-year rest period. All work submitted for the British Hairdressig Awards must be solely the work of the etrat. Work submitted for British Hairdresser of the Year, must ot have previously bee published. Work submitted for all other categories may be published work. Hairdressers Joural Iteratioal has the exclusive first optio o all British images. Hairdressers Joural Iteratioal retais exclusivity of the photographs submitted for the British category oly util 31 Jauary All work is accepted i good faith. Istat disqualificatio will apply to ay cadidates foud abusig this. 6 THE JUDGING WHAT HAPPENS AT THE JUDGING? All photographs are judged aoymously - judges are uable to see the ames or salo ames of the etrats. All photographs are displayed by category o boards as see i a photographic gallery. Ay judge who has a etrat i a category i their employmet, or has give advice to ay etrat i a category, is ot allowed to judge that category. As each judge completes their judgig form for oe category, their form is haded to the idepedet auditors. Oce marks are haded ito the auditors they caot be chaged. Judges are ot allowed to discuss ay etries before, durig or after the judgig, with each sigig a o-disclosure agreemet. The whole procedure is supervised ad strictly cotrolled. 4

7 THE JUDGING WHAT HAPPENS FOLLOWING THE FIRST ROUND JUDGING? All etrats will be iformed i writig as to whether or ot they have gaied fialist status. Fialists will be asked to submit a further four photographs, makig a collectio of eight. Fialists will be asked to supply all eight images o disc.
