2 WELOME T here's been a bit of an explosion of colouring books for grown-ups around the world of late looking to make us put down our gadgets, take a little time out with a cup of tea and do something creative. s quilters, we don't need much of an excuse to do this anyway, so we've decided to marry the two disciplines to bring you a special free gift with this issue of Down Under Quilts. We've used traditional quilt blocks to create a book full of designs for you to plot your next project. Pick your fabric, grab your pencils, get colouring and get the perfect idea of the big picture before you even start cutting. HOW TO USE THIS OOK Each traditional quilt block pattern comes with a cutting guide to make a 12" block (finished*) in a traditional style, but we've also included a blank block and some creative ideas for piecing yours together to kick-start your sewing mojo.
