2 Thank you for downloading this pattern. I hope you will enjoy making one or many fabric baskets with it. Before printing the pattern, make sure you selected Print Actual Size in your printer settings. Materials needed: Fabric of your choice (quilting cotton works well) About 90 x 100 cm/ 35.5 x 39.5 of main fabric About 90 x 100 cm/ 35.5 x 39.5 of lining fabric Batting or foam About 90 x 100 cm/ 35.5 x 39.5 Medium to heavy weight interfacing (unless you are using foam) About 90 x 100 cm/ 35.5 x 39.5 Video instructions for this project can be found here: For more video Instructions visit my channel on YouTube: Sami Dolls Instructions Cut out: 1x front/back piece on fold or 2x separate front and back pieces ( from main fabric, lining fabric and batting + interfacing or foam) 2x sides ( from main fabric, lining fabric and batting + interfacing or foam) 1x handle (main fabric) 1x (or 2x if you want a pocket in the back as well) storage pocket on fold and interfacing (not on fold) Let s start with the handle. 3 fold it in half open it up again and then fold both edges towards the fold in the center and fold it again and press. Sew along the sides of the handle. Fold the storage pocket in half, put the interfacing inside and press. Iron/ sew the interfacing to the left side of the main fabric for the sides and back/ front pieces. 4 Pin and baste the batting to the left side of the front/back piece and the sides next, unless you are using foam and have already ironed or basted it to the left side of the fabric. Fold the front/back piece in half, to determine the center and pin the handle to it, folding under both ends. Sew the handle to the back/front piece on both sides, sewing a rectangle shaped seam. Top stitch along the top edge of the pocket piece and pin it to the front bottom edge of the front piece. Baste the pocket piece to the front of the front piece and sew a couple straight lines to make some pockets. Pin the side pieces to the side edges of the back/front piece. 5 Sew the side pieces to the side edges of the back/front piece and turn the outer sewing machine cover inside out. Pin and sew the side pieces of the lining fabric to the front/back piece. Leave a 3.5 to 4 turning hole on one side. Put the outer part of the sewing machine cover inside the inner one and pin them together along the bottom edge. Sew along the bottom edge and turn the cover inside out through the turning hole. Close the turning hole by hand. Sami DOLLS PDF Patterns: Pattern & Instructions 5

6 Pin the bottom edge of the sewing machine cover in place. I like to have the lining fabric show on the outside, at the width of the seam allowance, but you can also pin it, so that the lining fabric is not visible from the outside. Top stitch along the bottom edge. And then we are done!
