There shall be a first quality zipper down the front. The back will be seamed (2 piece back) bi-swing, ends of each bi-swing held in place with a strip of elastic. 4 REMOVABLE LINER A zip-out insulated liner that incorporates CDS-200 Thinsulate Thermal Insulation in the body portion of the liner and CDS-100 Thinsulate Thermal Insulation in the sleeves. The insulation shall be quilted to black 86 pick nylon on the face side of the liner and nylon tricot on the backing. There shall be black knit inserts placed under the arm of the liner sleeves 9 length and 3 ½ at widest center point for comfort and ease of movement. The liner will attach to the jacket with a grip-lock non-run zipper. SHELL FOR REMOVABLE LINER Content: 86 pick, 100% Nylon Taffeta, weave-plain, Denier: warp-70 Fill-70 Material wt: 1.8 oz. /sq. yd. Liner: The perimeter of the liner shall be bound with black nylon taffeta tape and the liner shall have a black vislon zipper track to allow the liner to zip out of the jacket. The liner sleeves will have a female snap by the in sleeve seam no more than 1 from the end of the sleeve. The liner have a left breast patch pocket, each sleeve hem must be finished with bias tape so there are no raw edges. The liner shall be designed with vents corresponding with the zippered side vents on the jacket to allow easy access to weapon or equipment. Tab: Attached to the jacket sleeve, made of shell material with a make snap, the tab and snap are used to secure the liner sleeves. COLLAR Collar points: Well shaped and symmetrical. Originally made from flax yarns, it has been made from either flax, tow or jute yarns, sometimes flax or tow warp with mixed or jute weft, and often entirely of jute. The finer and better qualities form a kind of common sheeting, and the various kinds may contain from 20 to 36 threads per inch and 10 to 15 picks per inch. Each flap shall have a dummy buttonhole with a 24 ligne metal button on the top of the flap attached with a kotter key on the bottom side of the flap Inside left breast pocket: Min width of 6 and min depth of 8 ¼, the inside pocket will incorporate a zipper closure system utilizing a 6 CFC-256B2 zipper that is made with bottom stops at both ends. ELASTIC WAISTBAND Separate waistband shall be elasticized in the back. Spacing: 2 rows of stitching each ½ apart, centered on the waistband, and extending through the elastic. Elastic: Shall be securely tacked at each end Zipper: Be sewn into each side for access. Elasticized tabs: Be sewn into the waistband for closure of the side tab Belt keeper tab: 2 belt keeper tabs, with sewn eyelets, made of shell fabric and located 2 from back zipper side vents SLEEVES 3 pieces, raglan style sleeves with cuffs. The top half of the cuff must be elasticized and the bottom half to close with a tab and double snap for cuff adjustment. The sleeves shall be constructed with 7 zippers on the underseams. BADGE TAB To be made of self material with 2 metal eyelets The bottom of the badge tab: Shall be 2 ¼ 2 ½ above the left pocket flap FRONT ZIPPER The front zipper opening shall be accomplished with a two way pull, heavy-duty # 5 nylon modeled zipper, and extend from bottom of waistband to collar seam. Shall be constructed using the double welt method on a REECE PW Machine and the welts shall finished in such a manner that there is no topstitching. The corner of hip pockets openings: Shall have firm straight bartacks for reinforcement The corners of the hip pockets: Shall have triangle bartacks for reinforcing strength The left hip pocket: Will have a button and buttonhole, no tab CLUB POCKET: Located 2 ½ below each hip pocket. It shall be ½ from the side seam with a min. opening of 3 ¼ and a min. depth of 8. Material: To be the same as side and hip pockets. Club pockets shall be constructed using the double welt method on a REECE PW machine and finished in such a manner that there is no topstitching The corners of the club pockets: Shall have triangle bartacks for reinforcing strength WATCH POCKET: Shall be located on the right front at the waistband Front of the pocket: Shall be made of pocketing fabric Back of the pocket: Shall be made of basic fabric and 2 pieces are securely stitched together Each corner of the pocket opening: Shall have firm straight bartacks WAISTBAND Shall be constructed using the closed method and shall measure a min. of 2 wide. Content: Must contain ¾ inch Ban-Rol or other monofilament stabilizer to prevent roll over at the trouser front. Waistband closure: Shall be accomplished with a single crush proof hook and eye centered on the waistband for wearer comfort Hook and eye: Shall be reinforced with 7/8 inch non-woven stay tape that is anchored with topstitching through and through to the top of the waistband. The waistband must also be topstitched below the waistband seam through the waistband curtain for added strength. The back center seam of the trouser: To be finished to allow for alterations The outlet in the seat: Is to be in proportion to waist outlet so seat may also be let out. Seat seam: Must be sewn with a tandem needle machine (double needle stitch) for maximum strength WAISTBAND CURTAIN Shall finish a min. 2-1/8 wide and is to be made of the same fabric and color as the pocketing material and shall be attached to the top of the trouser with a zigzag stitch Material: Wet laid non woven canvas Material wt.: 3.3 oz. /sq. yd. 29 POCKETING The pocketing shall be 70% Polyester / 30% Cotton, 2.9 oz. per square yard (60" width) with a minimum 78 X 64 count. Pocketing must have a durable press finish and the color of the pocketing must be black. POCKET DESIGN The two (2) front pockets will be quarter top style with a minimum opening of 6" and a minimum depth of 5 3/4" measured from the bottom of the pocket opening. CARGO POCKET There shall be two cargo pockets, one on each side seam. There will be double-section pleated patch pockets with rectangular flaps to close with Velcro. The pockets will be centered across the side seam and placed 2" below the bottom of the front quarter-top pocket, measuring from the top of the pocket flap. The pocket shall be constructed of the shell fabric and lined with the specified pocketing. The top edge of the pocket shall be bound. The outside measurements of the pocket are 7" wide x 8½" deep with mitered bottom corners. There shall be a 1½" center pleat on each pocket. There shall be a 1½" wide x 1" deep piece of Velcro (hook side) sewn to the inner ply of the flap and a corresponding piece of Velcro (loop side) sewn on the pleat of the pocket. There shall be a black molded plastic zipper sewn behind the inner pocket and to the trouser leg so that the zipper is recessed 1" from the top of the pocket flap. There shall be straight vertical bartacks on all four corners of each pocket flap. WAISTBAND The trouser will include a two zone stretch waistband with a Tru-Grip, a ½ surface area composed of thin gauge rubber for max. Comfort and performance. Substitution of silicone strip or strips in place of Tru-Grip shall not be acceptable. The two way stretch waistband curtain is designed to provide the wearer with maximum comfort, functionality, and professional appearance. The waistband itself shall be constructed using the "closed method" and shall measure a minimum of 1-7/8" wide when finished. The waistband closure shall be accomplished with a single crush proof hook and eye centered on the waistband for maximum wearer comfort.
