This design, with the fabric and threads to stitch it, is the goody for this issue. Also, each new member will receive this design in their New Member s Package. EAC has a new contest, Stitch an EAC Logo. I hope all of you put your thinking caps on and stitch a logo. Entries are to be mailed to me as I am organizing the contest this year. Try a New Stitch...Reversible Cross Stitch Since this issue has a Sampler theme, what better stitch to try than a Reversible Cross Stitch. This stitch would be perfect for a bookmark or other piece that will show both sides. The diagrams show the stitch being worked from left to right. Each cross stitch is finished before the next cross stitch is started. Figure 1 Come up at 1 and down at 2 (follow black arrow). Figure 2 Come up again at 3 (same space as 1 in Figure 1) and down at 4 (follow red arrow). This is a half stitch going into the centre of the stitch. Figure 3 Come up at 5 and down at 6 (follow green arrow). Figure 4 Come up at 7 (same space as 5 in Figure 3) and down at 8 (follow black arrow). Figure 5 Five cross stitches worked as in Figures 1 4. The first black line is Figure 1, red lines are Figure 2, green lines are Figure 3, and the rest of the black lines are Figure 4.
