Notes for how to do this are included in pattern. Designed to be worn with 3.75 cm / 1.5 inches of positive ease on upper arm measurements, and cm / 4 8 inches on bust. Upper arm measurement is the most crucial to ensure a good fit. The sleeves and yoke of this garment are knitted flat in one piece using a six-row cable repeat. Stitches are then picked up from the selvedge and the rest of the garment is knitted in the round, working top down in Stocking Stitch. A small amount of short row shaping is added to elongate the back and the garment is finished with a folded hem.

CAST ON AND CABLE SET-UP Using MC and larger needles cast on 46 (46, 46, 46, 58, 58) sts using the Long Tail Cast On and work as follows: Set up Row 1 (RS): k2, p2, PM, [k4, p2] two (two, two, two, three, three) times, k8, [p2, k4] three (three, three, three, four, four) times, PM, p2, k1, s1wyif Set up Row 2 (WS): k1, p1, k2, SM, [p4, k2] three (three, three, three, four, four) times, p8, [k2, p4] two (two, two, two, three, three) times, SM, k2, p1, s1wyif INSTRUCTIONS Size 4: Knit rows 1-24 working shaded rows two times each, then knit rows 1-24 three more times working shaded rows one time each (108 rows in total) Size 5: Knit rows 1-24 three times working shaded rows two times each, then knit rows 1-10 one more time, maintaining shaded rows as set (119 rows in total) Size 6: Knit rows 1-24 working shaded rows two times each, then knit rows 1-24 three more times working shaded rows one time each (108 rows in total) Repeat these two rows once more, then switch to working from Chart A between two stitch markers, keeping the stitches outside of the markers as set Work rows 1-6 of Chart A once Note: this six-row cable repeat will form the main stitch pattern of the sleeves and yoke. From this point on, you will continue to repeat Chart A inside the stitch markers 2. RIGHT SLEEVE Work Rows 1-24 of Charts B & C 2 (3, 3, 4, 3, 4) times in total working increases as follows: Sleeve increases are the same for each size, but worked over a different number of rows. All sizes follow instructions from Charts B and C, but repeat the shaded non-increase rows the following number of times according to your size: Size 1: Knit rows 1-24 twice working shaded rows three times each, then knit rows 1-10 one more time, maintaining shaded rows as set (111 rows in total) Size 2: Knit rows 1-24 working shaded rows three times each, then knit rows 1-24 two more times working shaded rows two times each (120 rows in total) Size 3: Knit rows 1-24 three times working shaded rows two times each, then knit rows 1-10 one more time, maintaining shaded rows as set (119 rows in total) All RS Rows: work Chart B, SM, work Chart A, SM, work Chart C All WS Rows: work Chart C, SM, work Chart A, SM, work Chart B Note: on Row 22 of Charts B & C, you will move these markers and absorb 6 sts on either side of markers into Chart A instructions, thereby incorporating them into the six-row cable repeat 76 (82, 88, 94, 100, 106) sts All increases have now been worked. Add a locking stitch marker to your next row, to mark the end of increase shaping Continue as set, without increase shaping, until sleeve measures 46 cm / 18 inches from cast on edge, or desired length. End by working a Row 2 (WS) row of Chart A, removing both stitch markers as their position will change in the next section 3. BODY SET-UP With RS facing, cast on 15 (12, 15, 12, 15, 12) sts using the Cable Cast On and work as follows: Set Up Row (RS): k2, p2, PM, work Row 3 of Chart A to 7 (4, 7, 4, 7, 4) sts before end of row, p to last 2 sts, k2

5 With WS facing, cast on 15 (12, 15, 12, 15, 12) sts using the Cable Cast On and work as follows: Set Up Row (WS): p2, k2, PM work Row 4 of Chart A to marker, SM, k2, p1, s1wyif 106 (106, 118, 118, 130, 130) sts Note: once the sleeves and neck are finished and blocked, the stitches just cast on will be seamed together and become the upper body, from which the remaining body stitches will be picked up and worked 4. MAIN BODY AND NECKLINE Note: if you would like a garment with less ease around the bust, then switch to an alternate size for the body and neckline Row 1 (RS): k2, p2, SM, work Chart A to marker, SM, p2, k1, s1wyif Row 2 (WS): k1, p1, k2, SM work Chart A to marker, SM, k2, p1, s1wyif Repeat these two rows until work measures 12.5 (14.5, 17, 18.5, 21, 22.5) cm / 4.75 (5.75, 6.75, 7.25, 8.25, 8.75) inches from main body selvedge; end by working a Row 6 (WS) row of Chart A and remove both stitch markers whilst working this last row, as their position will change in the next section Front Neckline is worked over next 50 (50, 56, 56, 62, 62) sts, place remaining 56 (56, 62, 62, 68, 68) sts onto scrap yarn or holder Work rows 1 55 of Chart D, remembering to repeat rows a total of three (three, three, four, four, five) times Once all rows of Chart D have been worked, break yarn and place these 50 (50, 56, 56, 62, 62) sts onto scrap yarn or holder Return 56 (56, 62, 62, 68, 68) previously held sts to needle and rejoin yarn at neck opening. Back Neckline is worked over these live sts, beginning with RS facing Work rows 1 37 of Chart E, remembering to repeat rows a total of six (six, six, seven, seven, eight) times two sections will be rejoined on the next row Set Up Row (WS): k1, p1, k2, PM, work as set until you ve worked all 56 (56, 62, 62, 68, 68) live sts, with WS facing return held 50 (50, 56, 56, 62, 62) sts to left needle and continue working as set until 4 sts before end of row, PM, k2, p1, s1wyif Row 1 (RS): k2, p2, SM, work Chart A to marker, SM, p2, k1, s1wyif Row 2 (WS): k1, p1, k2, SM work Chart A to marker, SM, k2, p1, s1wyif Repeat these two rows until work measures 12.5 (14.5, 17, 18.5, 21, 22.5) cm / 4.75 (5.75, 6.75, 7.25, 8.25, 8.75) inches from neck edge; end by working a Row 4 (WS) row of Chart A. BLOCKING AND SEAMING SLEEVES Wet block yoke and sleeves to the given dimensions. Once your piece is dry, Mattress Stitch both sleeves beginning at the cuff and working up to the under arm. Then sew up the small side seam beginning at the under arm and working down. 8. MAIN BODY Note: from this point on garment is worked from the top down in the round Note: ensure you are following instructions for the same size you knitted whilst completing the body and neckline shaping With larger needles, position garment with RS facing and PUK 70 (78, 86, 92, 100, 106) sts across back, beginning at left under arm seam, PM, and then PUK 70 (78, 86, 92, 100, 106) sts across front, PM to indicate beginning of round, 140 (156, 172, 184, 200, 212) sts Increase Round (RS): [k1, kfb] repeat to end of round, 210 (234, 258, 276, 300, 318) sts Round 1 (RS): p1, k to M, SM, p1, k to end of round Repeat Round 1 until garment measures 25.5 (27, 27, 28, 29.5, 30.5) cm / 10 (10.5, 10.5, 11, 11.5, 12) inches from yoke, or 4 cm / 1.5 inches less than desired length 9. SHORT ROW SHAPING Note: If you do not wish to add short row shaping to lower the back hem, then continue straight on to folded hem cast off instructions. Short row shaping instructions are the same for all sizes Short Row 1 (RS): p1, k to M, SM, p1, k10, w&t Short Row 2 (WS): p10, k1, SM, p to 1 st before M, k1, SM, p10, w&t Short Row 3 (RS): work in pattern to 4 sts before last wrapped st, w&t Short Row 4 (WS): work in pattern to 4 sts before last wrapped st, w&t

7 Repeat Rows 3 and 4 three more times, until there are five wrapped stitches on either side End of short row shaping: on next two rows pick up wraps as they are encountered, and work them together with the st that was wrapped Partial Round (RS): k to M, SM, p1, k to end of round Complete Round (RS): p1, k to M, SM, p1, k to end of round 10. FOLDED HEM FACING Round 1 (RS): p1, k to M, SM, p1, k to end of round Repeat Round 1 twelve more times Round 13: p all sts Change to smaller needles and work in Stocking Stitch for 14 rounds 11. FINISHING Weave in all ends and block garment to given dimensions. Whilst blocking, fold hem so that facing lies inside garment Once dry, turn garment inside out and pin the folded hem to prevent it from slipping. Using a length of yarn and a darning needle, whipstitch hem to garment, beginning at purl column on left side and working one whipstitch for every 2-3 knitted sts, keeping an even tension CARE INSTRUCTIONS Gently hand wash your finished project in lukewarm water using a liquid wool wash. Press between two towels to remove excess water; do not tumble dry. Spread flat to dry, pinning or hand pressing to correct size. Loosely cast off all sts using the k2tog Cast Off CHART A
