Milwaukee Women inc. announces first Leading Edge Awards to Wisconsin companies New research on diversity of boards also released November 17, 2011 Milwaukee, WI Milwaukee Women inc. will honor companies that are changing the face of the boardroom in Wisconsin by having 25% or more women board members. The winners were identified through a biennial research study of Wisconsin's top 50 public companies. In recognition of their leadership, the newly created Leading Edge Awards were presented to the following corporations: Alliant Energy Corp. Assisted Living Concepts Inc. Associated Banc-Corp., Bon-Ton Department Stores Journal Communications, Inc. ManpowerGroup MGE Energy Inc. School Specialty Inc. Sensient Technologies Corp. The awards were presented on Thursday November 17th at the University Club (925 E. Wells St., Milwaukee) from 7:30-9:00 am. Representatives from Leading Edge Awards corporations will be present along with Milwaukee Women inc. leadership as the results of the annual research are released. Details of the 2011 research will also be released at on November 17. Serving as keynote speaker for the event is Nina Vaca, one of the highest-compensated executives serving on a corporate board of a Wisconsin company. As Chairman and CEO of Pinnacle Technical Resources Inc., she will share her insights as the newest member of the Kohl's Corporation Board as well as her experiences as a Director with Comerica, Inc. and Chairman of the Board of the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Vaca is a graduate of Texas State University with a B.A. in Speech Communications and Business Administration where she was honored as the youngest Distinguished Alumna in university history. She also holds a Doctor of Laws "Honoris Causa" from Northwood University and is a graduate of Harvard Business School s Corporate Governance Executive Program. She is a recipient of the coveted Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award for Technology and Communications for the Southwest

2 Region. In 2010 and again this year, Vaca was named one of the 100 most influential Hispanics in America by Latino Leaders Magazine. Hemingway Hall leads Health Care Service Corporation, which operates Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois, Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma, the fourth largest health insurance company in the United States, serving over 13 million members. She previously held the role of Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of Internal Operations. She serves on the boards of Prime Therapeutics, MEDecision, BCS Financial, Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, America s Health Insurance Plans, National Institute for Health Care Management, Salvation Army Advisory Board, and the Health Care Leadership Council. Mary Petrovich was recently named to the board of directors for Modine Manufacturing. Petrovich, 48, is the General Manager of AxleTech International, a supplier of off-highway and specialty vehicle drivetrain systems and components that was formed as a result of the acquisition of the original Rockwell off-highway axle business from ArvinMeritor in 2002, at which point Ms. Petrovich was brought in to

Victoria Jackson Bridges was recently named to the board of directors for Roadrunner Transportation Systems, Inc. Ms. Bridges currently serves as President of Victoria Bellé, Inc., a designer, manufacturer and marketer of specialty retail products. She was President and CEO of DSS/Prodiesel, Inc. (transportation components) from 1979 until 1998, when the company was sold to TransCom USA. Ms. Bridges is currently a member of the Advisory Board of Stratco Global and serves on the board of directors and as a member of the audit committee of Meritor, Inc. (NYSE: MTOR).
