I am thankful to serve on the first Thrivent regional board and support the Thrivent organization in my area. I grew up in the First Lutheran Church in Mitchell, SD. I have been a member of Calvary Lutheran Church throughout my adult life, serving as a Sunday school teacher, Building Committee, Endowment Committee and Church Council member. In , I was co-founder of the South Dakota Advocacy Network for Women, and have continued to serve organizations seeking to improve the lives of individuals and communities. One of my current initiatives combines a personal and professional goal to engage Native American engineering students in infrastructure projects to improve the quality of life for Tribal members on the reservation lands.
