Prior to joining Brock White Company, Greg worked for a consulting firm specializing in developing erosion and sediment control standards, inspections, and statewide guide plans to meet NPDES Construction Site permit requirements. Under his current role at Brock White, Greg is responsible for technical assistance to engineers and contractors during the design and construction phase. 15 8:00 9:30 Converting a Paved Road to a Gravel Road & Best Practices for Surfacing with Asphalt Millings David Jones, University of California Dr. David Jones is the Associate Director with the University of California Pavement Research Center in Davis California, where he manages research into sustainable road and airfield design with special interest in-place pavement recycling, the use of recycled materials in pavement layers, low-volume road management, and permeable pavements. He started with MnDot, working there for 9 years as a research, project, resident and bituminous engineer. Over the next two decades he worked for various asphalt material suppliers specializing in pavement preservation and rehabilitation. Prior to this position he was Highway Superintendent in Jerauld County from During his time at Jerauld County, he served as President of the SD Association of County Highway Superintendents then as Secretary- Treasurer. He brings a broad knowledge of road and bridge management and maintenance along with a background of government finance and revenue. Greg serves on the SDDOT Transportation Advisory Council, State Transportation Innovation Council and various EDC Committees.
