1 MEETING AGENDA THURS., FEB. 22 7:30 7:40 a.m.: Welcome & Announcements Good morning. My name is Tim Mackin and I would like to welcome all of you to the Denver District s 60th annual meeting. This year s theme is the pursuit of excellence. In reviewing our agenda for the next few days, we ll be discussing how to achieve this path through our safety program, quality objectives, business operations, and field activities. 1 I would like to acknowledge our corporate guests to this year s session: Bruce Grewcock, president and chief executive officer Dick Colf, executive vice president Larry Cochran, vice president of quality Pete Piechoski, chief financial officer Steve Ellis, corporate legal counsel Jim Dilworth, division business manager

Remember, this is a business meeting and your professional behavior and attitude towards colleagues and hotel personnel is greatly appreciated. 4

5 7:40-8:05 a.m.: Safety Review and Goals 8:05-8:25 a.m.: Quality Review and Goals Tim Howe has been our district safety manager since His 20 plus years of hands-on, field experience provide a unique perspective in implementing effective safety programs. He is always accessible, ing, calling, driving or flying throughout the 12-state area to provide support and assistance. Tim will review our 2006 safety results and discuss our 2007 goals. Thanks Tim. Gordon Peterson joined Kiewit in 1984 and brings 23 years of industry experience. Gordon has not only built quality projects, but performed quality control for complex design-build projects such as Northwest Parkway and E-470. As our district quality manager, he is responsible for overall project quality control and assurance. Gordon will discuss our 2006 quality results and goals. 5

6 In 2005, Bruce Grewcock was named Chief Executive Officer of Peter Kiewit Sons becoming only the 5th person in Kiewit s modern era to hold this position. He joined Kiewit in 1982 as Chief Engineer at the Black Butte Mine in southwest Wyoming and 10 years later he was named President of the Kiewit Mining Group. In 1994 he became Division Manager for Kiewit s construction operations in Arizona, Nevada, Utah, and Idaho. In 2000, he was named President and Chief Operating Officer. Bruce holds a mining engineering degree from the Colorado School of Mines and is a 8:25-8:55 a.m.: Selected Topic 6 professional engineer in Colorado and Wyoming. Please welcome Bruce Grewcock

7 8:55-9:15 a.m.: Break Thank you Bruce. Let s take a 20 minute break. 9:15-9:50 a.m.: Introduction of First Time Attendees Our district continues to grow in revenues, area, and personnel. Last year, we had 500 salaried and hourly staff employees and 1,070 craft personnel. This year, we welcome 107 first time attendees. Jeff Kresl, Chris Loeffler, Steve Medina, Van Groves, and Troy Heckmaster will present our new employees from Colorado, Arkansas, Chicago, New Mexico and Omaha. Thanks guys sounds like some great additions to the district. Remember, all first time attendees have a green star on their name tag be sure to introduce yourself to our new employees. 7

8 Steve Ellis joined Kiewit in 1989 as a member of the corporate legal team. He is a professional engineer and a lawyer (no jokes please) with degrees from BYU and the University of Utah. Steve is responsible for the Denver and Southeast districts, as well as the equipment department. Mark Campbell joined Kiewit in 1987 as a business manager for the Omaha building district. He provided project business support, becoming Northeast district business manager in We are glad he transferred to the Denver district in 2000, where he has spent the last six years as our district business manager. 9:50-10:15a.m.: Avoiding False Claims Together, Steve and Mark really help keep us out of trouble, especially in regards to the topic of the day, false claims. 8

9 Gregg Teets joined Kiewit in 1984 and is currently the district s business development manager. He previously served as the corporate marketing manager and the marketing/business development manager for the Kiewit Materials Division. Gregg s a professional engineer with a mining background and a marketing guy again, no jokes please. 10:15-10:40 a.m. Business Development Gregg brings a passion to the industry, our company and in his pursuit of excellence developing new business opportunities for the district. 10:40-11 a.m.: Break Thanks Gregg. 10 Randy Sanman joined Kiewit 25 years ago, as a young engineer/estimator in the district office. Since then, he has held a variety of positions including job superintendent, general super, area manager and district manager. Under his guidance, the Denver district has expanded into new markets; raised revenues, recorded impressive gains; and developed an experienced workforce. Randy brings a true passion for the industry and our company s success. He is a team player and a solid leader. We re lucky to have him at our helm and look forward to hearing more about the district s future p.m.: District Financial Results 10
