11 Thank you to our Sponsors! Safe-T-Zone is Alabama Power s new high votage safety program, where we recreate hazardous situation and explain how first responders can stay safe and how they can keep everyone around them safe. Safe-T-Zone is a trailer that utilizes mounted distribution lines and 14,400 volts of electricity to show firefighters why pulling a meter at a house is dangerous. During this hour long program, we discuss unsafe conditions and conclude the session with a question and answer period. The traveling program is free and can visit your location on a day and time convenient for you. This program saves lives and prevents accidents and was designed specifically for first responders like yourself. In some cases, the program can be considered for CEUs.
