1 LESSON 13 Desktop Publishing Drawing inword /< Drawing in Word Microsoft Word LEARN You can create custom drawings in Word. In this lesson you will draw lines and shapes and create illustrations by using Word's drawing tools. You will also insert and modify pre-formatted diagrams to enhance your documents. Drawing Lines and Shapes AutoShapes are a group of ready-made shapes, lines, and connectors on the Drawing toolbar. When you draw these objects, they are inserted as inline graphics. You can set their text-wrapping properties, size them, and move them as you did with clip art. When you draw lines and shapes, it is usually helpful to display formatting marks. To do this, click the Show/Hide button _1[_ on the Standard toolbar. To draw a line, arrow, rectangle, oval, or text box: 2. Display the Drawing toolbar. (From the menu bar, choose View; then choose Toolbars and choose Drawing.) 2. Click the Line button \\\, Arrow button Q, Rectangle button [ ], Oval button [O or Text Box button H on the Drawing toolbar. 3. If a drawing canvas appears, press Esc to hide it. 4. Click in the document. Drag to create an object of any size. To draw other AutoShapes: 1. Click the AutoShapes button on the Drawing toolbar. 2. Point to a category, and then click the shape you want. 3. If a drawing canvas appears, press Esc to hide it. 4. Click in the document. Drag to create an object of any size. To display gridlines to guide your drawing: 1. Click the Draw button 1Dr-m " on the Drawing toolbar, and choose Grid. 2. In the Drawing Grid dialog box, check Display gridlines on screen, and then click OK. A LESSON 12 22S
2 - r Draw Lines and Shapes PRACTICE Open the document WP-StudentGov. In the header for section 2, replace "Student name" with your full name. 2. Display gridlines to guide your drawing. 3. On page 1,select the first line "[Title page initially blank]" and press Enter twice to insert two blank paragraphs in its place. Position the insertion point in the second blank paragraph. 4. Figure 12-1 shows how you will draw and assemble a pencil to decorate the title page. Click the Rectangle button on the Drawing toolbar. Then drag on the drawing canvas to insert a rectangle 15 squares high by 1 square wide (1.95 inch x 0.13 inch). FIGURE 12-1 Drawing a pencil I Gridlines tl _j j ~T1 5. With the rectangle selected, click the arrow next to the Fill Color button &- and click the Gold square. This gold rectangle will be the barrel of your pencil. 6. Click the Line button \\\ on the Drawing toolbar. To the right of the pencil barrel, draw a vertical line 15squares high. 7. Click the Line Style button =, and click 3A pt. Then copy and paste the line. You will use these two lines to give shape to the pencil barrel. 8. Create an eraser for your pencil: Click the Rounded Rectangle button o on the Basic Shapes toolbar. Draw a rectangle 2 squares high by 1 square wide. Fill this shape with the Rose fill color. 9. Create a collar to hold the eraser to the pencil barrel: Draw a rectangle 1 square high by 1 square wide. Fill it with Yellow. LESSON
3 10. Refer to Figure 12-1 Bto assemble the pencil. Select each element and use the arrow keys to position them as shown. (Hints: Use Ctrl + an Arrow key for small movements.) 11. Save your document. Then save the file as[your initials] Vracticel2-1 and leave it open. Microsoft Word Ordering and Grouping Objects When you insert lines or shapes, they are layered on the page. The last object inserted is higher than the ones inserted before it. The order of these layers determines which object appears on top when they overlap. You can change the order of objects to create different effects. You can also group objects. Then you can move and format them as a single unit. To change the order of overlapping objects: 1. Select an object. 2. Click Draw on the Drawing toolbar, and then choose Order. 3. Click an option: Bring to Front Send to Back, Bring Eorward, or Send Backward. The object is moved forward or backward, relative to others on the page. To group objects: 1. Choose the objects to group. Click one object to select it. Then hold down Shift and click another object to add it to the selection. (This is referred to as a Shift + click.) Sizing handles appear on each selected object. 2. Click the Draw button Draw " on the Drawing toolbar, and then choosegroup. The grouped object appears with one set of sizing handles. 3. To separate agrouped object, select the object and choose Draw, Ungroup on the Drawing toolbar. Sizing handles appear on each of the ungrouped objects. 1 Order and Group Objects PRACTICE Select the yellow square collar that joins the pencil barrel to the eraser (see Figure 12-1 C). 2< click D aw on the Drawing toolbar, and choose Order. Then choose Bring to Front. Thecollar now sits on top of the bar rel, vertical lines, and eraser. 3. Click the Select Objects button \k\ on the Drawing toolbar. Then click and drag around the entire pencil. All its compo nent objects are selected. 4. Click Draw on the Drawing toolbar, and choose Group. The pencil is a single object with one setofsizing handles. LESSON IS 227
4 Microsoft Word \ 5. You will now add a point to the pencil. Click the AutoShapes button on the Drawing toolbar. Point to BasicShapes, and click the Isosceles Triangle button A Next to the pencil, draw a triangle 1 square high by 1 square wide. 6. Copy and paste this triangle. Right-click the second triangle, and choose Format AutoShape on the shortcut menu. 7. In the Format AutoShape dialog box, click the Size tab. Make the triangle.39-inch high x.39-inch wide (see Figure 12-1 D). 8. Fill the small triangle with Gray - 40%, and fill the large triangle with Tan (see Figure 12-1 E). 9. Select the small triangle, and choose Draw and then Order on the Drawing toolbar. Then choose Bring to Front. 10. Position the small triangle overlapping the top of the large one. Then select both triangles, and choose Draw and then Group on the Drawing toolbar (see Figure 12-1 F). 11. Resize the new object to be.39-inch high x.13-inch wide (see Figure 12-1 G). This is the point for your pencil. 12. Position the point on the pencil. Then select the whole pencil and group it as a single object (see Figure 12-1 H). 13. Save the file as [your initials]fracticel2-2, and leave it open. Putting Text in Objects AutoShapes include stars and banners especially suited to text titles and highlights. Youcan put text in any AutoShape or in a text box. To add text to an AutoShape: 1. Right-click an AutoShape that you have inserted in your document. 2. Choose Add Text from the shortcut menu. 3. Key text and format it. Resize and format the object as desired. To insert a text box: 1. Click the Text Box button on the Drawing toolbar. 2. Click or drag within the document to create a text box. 3. Key text and format it. Resize and format the text box as desired. LESSON lft
5 Place Text in Objects PRACTICE Click AutoShapes on the Drawing toolbar, point to Stars and Banners, and click the Horizontal Scroll shape. 2. Drag at the top of your document to create abanner. Size the banner 1.5 inches high x 6 inches wide. Then position it at the top of the grid. 3. Right-click the banner and choose Add Text from the shortcut menu. 4. Key Student Government Elections. Then format the text as 32-point bold Arial, center-aligned. 5. Resize the banner to show all text, if all the text is not showing. Fill the banner with the Tan fill color. 6. Click AutoShapes on the Drawing toolbar, point to Stars and Banners, and click the Explosion 1 shape. Then click in the document to insert the star. Resize the star to be 3inches high x3.5 inches wide. Fill the star with the Rose color. 7. Right-click the star and choose Add Text. Then key Rules for Running formatted as 24-point bold Arial, center aligned. 8. Click the Text Box H button on the Drawing toolbar. Drag in the document to insert a text box, and size it 3inches high x2.2 inches wide. Fill the text box with a Light Yellow. 9. Key BALLOT as the first line of the text box. On the next line, key President; on the next line, key Vice President; on the next line, key Treasurer; and on the next line, key Secretary. 10. Resize the text box and format the text as shown in Figure (To use the check-box character Br: On the menu bar, choose insert and then choose Symbol. In the Symbol dialog box on the Symbols tab, choose Wingdings from the Font list, select the check-box character, and click insert.) LESSON 18

Size and position the box as shown in Figure Format the textboxwith your name: Right-click the text box border, and choose FormatText Box from the shortcut menu. In the Format Text Box dialog box, click the Colors and Lines tab. Then choose No Fill from the Color list and No Line from the Color list. Click OK. 13. Resize and tilt the pencil: Right-click the penciland choose Eormat Object on the shortcut menu. In the Format Object dialog box, click the Size tab. Key 30 in the Rotate box. Check Lockaspect ratio. Key 5 in the Height box, and click OK. 14. Position objects as shown in Figure Change the order of objects so they overlap as shown in the figure. 15. Turn off the grid, save the file as [your initz"a/s7practicel2-3, and leave it open. LESSON 18
7 Microsoft Word Using the Diagram Tool You can insert a diagram ororganizational chart, add text, and customize your diagram. To insert and format a diagram: 1. Click the Insert Diagram ororganization Chart button [O) on the Drawing toolbar. The Diagram Gallery dialog box appears. 2. Select a diagram type and click OK. The basic diagram is inserted, and a toolbar appears. 3. Click in an object to enter text. 4. Use the diagram's toolbar to format and modify the diagram. Use the Diagram Tool PRACTICE At the end of page 2 of your document, position the insertion point in the blank paragraph before the page break. 2. Click the Insert Diagramor Organization Chart button O] on the Drawing toolbar. 3. In the Diagram Gallery dialog box, click the Organization Chart and click OK. 4. Clickin the top box of the organization chart, and key President. Click in each of the boxes reporting to the presi dent and key Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary. 5. Click in the Vice President box and click the down arrow next to the Insert Shape button on the Organization Chart toolbar. Then click Subordinate. A box is added under the vice president. 6. Key SG Projects in the new box. 7. Insert a box reporting to the treasurer and key Class Elections there. 8. Click the AutoFormat button <: on the Organization Chart toolbar. Then, in the Organization Chart Style Gallery dialog box, choose Beveled Gradient and click Apply. 9. At the end of page 4 of your document, insert a Radial diagram. 10. Key text as shown in Figure To increase the size of the central circle, click the down arrow next to the Layout button on the Diagram toolbar. Then click AutoLayout to turn off that feature. You can now selectany objectin the diagram and reformat it. If you choose AutoLayout again, the diagram will revert to its standard format. LESSON IS 231

9 2. Format the page with a border: Choose Format from the menu bar, and then choose Borders and Shading. In the dialog box, click the Page Border tab. Under Setting, click Box. In the Width box, choose 1 pt. Click OK. 3. Click the Draw button IDr-aw' Iand choose Grid. In the Drawing Grid dialog box, check Display gridlines on screen, and click OK. 4. Hold down Ctrl and click the Rectangle button Q on the Drawing toolbar to insert a square. 5. Resize the square to be a rocket body 3 inches high x 0.5 inch wide. 6. Click AutoShapes Auto5haPes- on the Drawing toolbar, and point to Basic Shapes. Then add the following shapes: One isosceles triangle 0.64-inch x 0.5-inch (nose cone) Three isosceles triangles 0.32-inch x 0.25-inch each (rocket nozzles) Two right triangles 1.2-inch x 0.5-inch each (fins) One rounded rectangle 0.39-inch x 0.26-inch (window) 7. Select one of the right triangle fins. Click Draw Dr-aw" on the Drawing toolbar, and choose Rotate or Flip. Then choose Flip Horizontal. 8. Assemble the parts into a rocket, using Figure 12-4 as a model. (Hint: Increase the Zoom to see details better.) 9. Group the elements into a single object: Click the Select Objects button _fe_ on the Drawing toolbar and drag around the entire rocket to select all its parts. Then click Draw, Group. 10. Copy the rocket. Then paste it twice. 11. Resize one copy of the rocket to 40% of its original size, and rotate it 45 degrees. Resize the other copy to 25%, and rotate it 135 degrees. 12. Click AutoShapes, and point to Stars and Banners. Then choose Explosion 2. Insert the shape at the top of your grid and size it to be 3 inches high x 6 inches wide. Fill the shape with the Light Yellow color. 13. Right-click the explosion shape and choose Add Text from the shortcut menu. Then key Rocketry Club and format the text as 36-point, bold Arial, center-aligned. LESSON IS
10 14. Click the TextBox button ID and insert a text box. Key on separate lines Join Us!, Tuesday, September 29, 3:00 PM, and Room 155. Format the text as 28-point Times New Roman, center-aligned. Fill the shape with the Light Yellow color. 15. Insert a text box and key on separate lines Prepared by and [Your name]. Format the text box to have no line color and no fill color. 16. Position the box toward the bottom right of the page, and format it with no border and no fill color. 11 2. At the top of the page, insert a Vertical Scroll banner about 1.5 inches high x 6 inches wide. Set the fill color to Tan. Set the Line color to Blue and the Line Style to 2Va pt. Set Text Wrapping to Square, so you can move it freely. 3. Add text to the banner: Key Ourtown Middle School and Honor Society on separate lines. Center and format the text attractively. 4. Insert an organization chart, set text wrapping to Square, and move the chart below the banner. 5. On the Organization Chart toolbar, click the AutoFormat button O. In the Organization Chart Style Gallery dialog box, choose Primary Colors and click Apply. 6. In the top box of the organization chart, key Amy Smith and President on separate lines. On the Organization Chart toolbar, click the down arrow next to the Insert Shape button Insert Shape and choose Assistant. In the new box, key Mr. Graves and Faculty Advisor on separate lines. 7. In the bottom left pink box, key Bill Sunshine and Treasurer on separate lines. Then add a shape reporting to Bill and key Fund-Raising Committee there. 8. In the center pink box, key Kelly Wang and Vice President on separate lines. Then add a shape reporting to Kelly and key Membership Committee there. 9. In the right-most pink box, key Jesse Archer and Service Coordinator on separate lines. Then add two shapes reporting to Jesse: Tutoring Committee and Food Bank Committee. 10. Make the chart larger: Click Layout \\w*' and then choose Scale Organization Chart. Grab the bottom center sizing arrow and drag it down to the "Prepared by" text box. 11. Because the font size has become too small, turn off the AutoLayout feature: On the Organization Chart toolbar, click the down arrow next to the Layout button two**. Then click AutoLayout to turn it off. 12. Press Ctrl and drag over the text in each box to select all the text. Then change the font size to 14 points. LESSON 18

Insert a document header with your full name and the page number right-aligned. 3. On the first page, describe thebenefits ofusingdiagrams and drawings. Also explain the skills required. Include a Radial diagram. Label the center object either "Why use diagrams" or "Skills you need." Include at least four surrounding objects for the diagram. 4.
