They can withstand not only radial loads but axial loads as well, which are supported at the contacts between the shoulders of inner and outer rins and the end faces of rollers. Therefore, they are most suitable for use at the fixin side of a shaft. Like needle roller bearins, they are also compact. Roller bearins include the caed, full complement and the for sheaves, and any bearins suitable for the operatin conditions can be selected. In particular, these bearins are used for heavyduty machines such as construction machinery, and industrial machinery. Also, as the axial distance between the doublerow rollers is comparatively lare, lare moment loads can be supported. aed roller bearins with seal incorporate seals on both sides. Synthetic resin rubber seals are excellent in the prevention of dust penetration and rease leakae, providin an excellent sealin effect. Full omplement Roller Bearins These bearins are suitable for lowspeed rotations or oscillatin motions and heavy loads. Similar to the caed, the structure is advantaeous for supportin moment loads. The bearins with seal incorporate seals on both sides. Roller Bearins for Sheaves For sheaves AS UUR AS ZZR These bearins are the doublerow full complement with a low sectional heiht desined for use in sheaves. There are two s; the sealed and the shield. They can withstand heavy radial loads and shock loads at comparatively lowspeed rotations, and can also withstand axial loads. They can easily be fixed axially to sheaves usin the stop rins of the outer rin. As the width of the inner rin is desined to be larer than that of the outer rin, they require no spacer between sheaves. The structure is stable because the doublerow rollers can withstand the moment loads caused by rope transition. The surfaces of these bearins are treated to have hih corrosion resistance. Identification umber The identification number of Roller Bearins consists of a model code, dimensions, any supplemental codes and a classification symbol. The arranement examples are shown below. A side plate for inner rin is assembled on one side of caed or full complement roller bearins. The tolerance of bore diameter of the side plate is shown below. Tolerances of Roller Bearins for Sheaves represent the values before surface treatment. The tolerance of internal distance between circlips is shown below. However, Roller Bearins for Sheaves are manufactured so that proper operatin clearances are obtained after bein mounted with a specified fit. For aed Roller Bearins and Full omplement Roller Bearins, ALVAIA GREASE S (SHOWA SHELL SEKIYU K.K.) is prepacked as the lubricatin rease. For Roller Bearins for Sheaves, ALVAIA GREASE EP (SHOWA SHELL SEKIYU K.K.) is prepacked as the lubricatin rease. In the case of bearins without prepacked rease, perform proper lubrication for use. Operatin without lubrication will increase the wear of the rollin contact surfaces and shorten their lirees. Oil Hole The number of oil holes of the inner and outer rins is shown in Table 4. 3 Axial Load apacity Axial load capacity is not determined from the basic dynamic based on rollin fatiue, but is determined by the amount of heat enerated by slidin contact between the ends of rollers and uide shoulders of the inner and outer rins. It is therefore limited by the load conditions, slidin speeds, lubrication methods, etc. The axial load capacity of Roller Bearins is obtained from the followin equation. If the axial load increases in comparison with the radial load, it will start to interfere with the smooth rollin motion. The axial load should therefore be within % of the radial load. As shown in Fi. 3 (), the inner rin should be pressfitted until it makes close contact with the shaft shoulder, and fixed axially with a nut. Dimensions of the shoulders of the shaft and housin should be based on J and E W shown in the table of dimensions, respectively. In the case of Roller Bearins for Sheaves, as shown in Fi. 3 (), the outer rin should be fixed by stop rins after bein pressfitted into the sheaves, and the inner rin should be fixed securely in the axial direction.
