2 2(19) 1. DESCRIPTION Combat gloves of five-finger type. The inside of the hand made of calfskin/oxhide nubuck and the outside of knitted jersey fabric with foam laminate. Specially designed to provide for sensitivity and pliancy in the fingertips. The glove has a knitted cuff with a leather artery protector strip. The trigger finger and the thumb are reinforced with leather. The gloves are made in sizes: 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11. Colour: black

6 6(19) 3. PRODUCT REQUIREMENTS The workmanship must conform to the industry standard for the manufacture of quality goods as described below. Material provided by the supplier must be of the quality as required below and must be approved by FMV before being used. 3.1 Calf/oxhide nubuck: The skins to be of high quality and thoroughly dyed, not top coated. They are to have good structure, full feeling, and best possible eveness. They are to be flexible and without any faults that could have a detrimental effect on the functionality and durability of the gloves. Smaller flaws and variations in colour are allowed. The skin in each pair of gloves to be homogeneous in colour. 15 15(19) 5. MANUFACTURING 5.1 The gloves to be manufactured in close accordance with this Technical Specification and the master sample, supplied by FMV. In all respects the manufacturing is to conform to the standards customary with civil quality gloves of this type. Sewing to be performed with lock stitch and overlock stitch seams in accordance with the master sample. All the seams and stitchings to be secured. Thread tension to be well adapted to the construction of the fabric/skin. Each seam to have the same strength both vertically and horizontally as the glove fabric/skin. 5.2 ISO 4915 Stitch types - Classification and terminology 5.3 ISO 4916 Seam types - Classification and terminology needle lock stitch Stitch type 301, seam type Seam allowance 2 3 mm. QUALITY ASSURANCE Supplier's Commitments The supplier shall establish and maintain an effective quality system that meets the requirements of EN ISO 9001, Quality management systems - Requirements. Permissible exclusion: Sub-clause 7.3, Design and development. The supplier shall provide FMV*, in good time before the start of production, with reference samples and material together with documents according to a, b, c, d, and e, listed below. The requirements in this Technical Specification must be fulfilled. EC type approval: The gloves to be EC type-examined by a notified body, accredited for the protective gloves, according to European Directives on Personal Protective Equipment (89/686/EEC). The type-examination to be defrayed by the contractor. a) Reference samples from the production plant where the actual production is placed: 2 pairs of gloves, sizes 8 and 9 b) Test report from an independent laboratory, accredited to perform test methods required in this specification, for: Skin Outer fabric Lining c) Test report from a laboratory, owned by the supplier or other, for: Label d) Technical data sheet, showing that the product fulfils the requirements, for: All included materials. e) Separate samples of the following components shall be sent in: 1 m each, of fabrics and bands. Of all other used materials: Two samples of each item. FMV assesses and approves the received material. 18 18(19) 7. PACKING INSTRUCTIONS 7.1 Ordering of packing The order must be in writing and sent to: FCBK, Box 1, SE Karlsborg; Sweden Fax: To state: - number of the current order, eg. LB-number - stock-number and stock-designation - desired number of boxes - number of labels per size FCBK encloses the adequate number of sealing tape required for the ordered number of boxes. 7.2 Spare packing The above mentioned packing shall be used exclusively in connection with the current order. The bottom of the boxes shall be sealed with a lengthwise sealing tape both on the inside and outside of the box. 19 19(19) 7.8 Packing Boxes not filled up N.B. More than one size in each cardboard box is not allowed. If all of one size does not fill up the whole of a box, the vacant space shall be filled up with other suitable materials. This filling must not generate dust or otherwise be detrimental to its contents. Exceptions, if any must be approved by FMV. Type of pallets 7.9 Marking Pre-printed data Figure 2. The supplier shall free of charge supply the requisite number of pallets.
