It incopoates a social science appoach to the study of Ameican economic, cultual, political, social and diplomatic histoy. It concentates on Ameica's ise to becoming a wold powe, domestic developments, how the United States functions with divese cultues and ethnic goups intenally, and how she fits into the newly changing extenal wold. US Histoy II is both a histoy and cuent events couse wapped into one. You cannot and will not be able to appeciate and undestand events that ae happening in Ameica and the wold today unless you know how events have unfolded in the ecent past. Much of how the wold woks to this day is based on people s actions ove the last 100+ yeas. We will wok togethe to uncove what happened, why it happened and how it impacts us today. Thoughout the couse we will examine people, places, events, music, at, movies, cultue and moe. In addition to the content, thee will be a heavy emphasis on social studies skills.
