See Sweet Home Waimanalo in a recent news story that aired on KHON2 here. KIMO, Naturally Hawaiian's Famous Horse was the star of the: 4th Of July at Mauna Lua Bay Celebration. Over a hundred people contributed in painting Kimo. He now stands greeting passersbys in front of Naturally Hawaiian Gallery and Sweet Home Waimanalo Diner. It depicts Aloha's beloved Mauna Kea in the distance and Hilo Bay in the foreground. It even has a hint of Hank and Aloha in it too. The Gellert's unveiled this painting at a gathering at their home to celebrate their appreciation for friends and family. I paint the deepest things first like deep colored water or the ocean floor if you can see it. I paint my sand and reef nice and dark because that is what is underneath. Most people are reluctant to paint the reef and water dark. They think they are ruining their painting. Then
