2 Donation tree- all proceeds go to MCAC. Who s hanging in the gallery this month? Terri Alo, Pamela Callen, Patrise Henkel, Mary Kercher, Luppin, Gene McCandliss, Nancy Owens, Milton Tierney, Neil Wilmoth, Brenda Chin, Renee Nelson and David Zippi are some of those on display this month at the MCAC Holiday Salon. Come out and see what you are missing. Do a little Christmas shopping early. What do I do now?? Jo Ann & Gene. Many, many thanks go out to Jo Ann Gilhooly for putting the Holiday Salon together. It was no easy task but she did a great job. Thank you Jo Ann for making things easier on everyone.

3 Mattawoman Creek Art Center Raffle Purpose: To fund ongoing programs. "Mattawoman Creek" is an original oil painting (16 X 20 ) by European trained artist Hugh O'Neill. It was painted on the front lawn of the MCAC overlooking Mattawoman Creek on October 10, 2015, during a plein aire workshop Mr. O Neill was giving. He donated the painting to the art center for the purpose of fundraising. It is valued at $1800. Only 100 tickets will be sold at $25/ticket. The painting will be on view at the art center until the drawing which will take place TBA before the end of The winner will be notified and the winning ticket will be listed on the website. To purchase a ticket, see members of the Arts Advisory Committee, purchase onsite at MCAC or call & purchase over the phone via your credit card. 4 What does the Workshop Committee have planned for November??? Painting Wine Glasses Plus Sunday, Nov 8 from 1 4:00 p.m. Fee: $45 members / $55 nonmembers Instructors: Norma Baretincic & Nancy Owens An Afternoon of Wine, Dine and Paint for the Ladies. Join us for heavy hors d'oeuvres, wine and conversation while learning how to paint your own wine glasses. We will have lots of examples of patterns for you to paint on your four glasses that are yours to keep or give as gifts. And did we mention, Wine??? All materials supplied. Class size is limited to 10 people so please sign up early to get a spot. (all levels) The Workshop Committee is hard at work scheduling new classes for the spring. Check the website in the New Year to see what great things are being planned. Are you aware that we hang art in The Community Bank of Chesapeake in La Plata? Norma Baretincic The Community Bank of Chesapeake has been gracious enough to offer members of MCAC their space to hang 2-dimensional art in La Plata. The next show will start on Oct. 30 th.
