2 RULES 1. The Exhibition is Open to All Comers. 2. All Articles exhibited must be the property of, and made by, the Exhibitor. 3. Each Article for Competition must have Exhibitor s Name, in sealed envelope, securely attached. Section and Number only to be written on the Envelope, unless otherwise stated. 4. An Entry Fee of 25p per Exhibit, to be paid at door of Marquee, with the exception of Section 7, Children (12 and Under) which is free. 5. No Exhibitor will be allowed more than ONE entry in each of Baking, Preserves, Dairying, Knitting, Sewing, Miscellaneous and Age 16 and Under Sections. In other Sections, no more than TWO per class allowed. 6. Knitted articles to be shown unwashed. Sewn articles may be washed. 7. Knitted and Sewn articles must have been worked entirely since 18th July, No vases are supplied for Section 9, classes Every care will be taken of the Exhibits, but Members of the Committee do not hold themselves responsible for any loss or damage. 10. The decision of the Judges shall be final. 11. Exhibits will be received in the Marquee between 8.00 a.m. and a.m. on SATURDAY, 15th JULY, No Exhibit to be lifted from the tables before 3.30 p.m. and all must be collected before 4.00 p.m. on the day of SUNDAY 16th JULY, Two prizes will be given in each as shown in Section; a third will be awarded where justified by numbers of entries and merit. 14. In Points Competitions a First Prize shall count 3 points; a Second Prize 2 points; and a Third Prize 1 point. 15. Prize Money will be paid in Industrial Marquee on Saturday and Sunday between 2 and 4 p.m.

12 Knitted Snood instructions 1 Ball Snood in Sirdar Touch Circumference (approximately) 60cm. (23¾in.) Depth (approximately) 21cm. (8½in.) You will also need 1 Pair of 10mm (UK000 - USA15) Knitting Needles. TENSION 9 stitches and 11 rows to 10cm. (4in.) over stocking stitch on 10mm needles or the size required to give correct tension. Check your tension - if less stitches use a thinner needle, if more use a thicker needle. IT IS ESSENTIAL TO WORK TO THE STATED TENSION TO ENSURE SUCCESS. Using 10mm needles and thumb method cast on 56 stitches loosely. 1st Row. Knit 2nd Row. Purl Repeat these 2 rows until nearly all the ball has been used, ending with a purl row and leaving sufficient yarn to cast off and to make up. Cast off loosely. TO MAKE UP Fold in half widthways and sew side seam. Cover with damp cloths and leave until dry. See ball band for washing and further care instructions.
