9 HAVASU STITCHERS GUILD MEMBER OF THE YEAR NOMINATIONS - INTERVIEWS Thank You for this honor.. Kim Kim Pebley My grandmother taught me to sew my Barbie clothes by hand at age 8. She encouraged me to embellish with buttons, beads and even zippers! I remember Wrights had a program if you send in 3 wrappers they would send you back a bag full of trims that I would shuffle through and use. When she saw that I was going to stick with it I was granted my first sewing machine which I still own in working condition. Through the years I have sewn for myself and my family. My first quilting experience was Log Cabin in a weekend in A friend encouraged me to make it for her, I quickly then started to take classes and learn more about quilting. Quilting has been my passion on and off since then. I came to Lake Havasu in 2007 from California. Met Karen (Turtle) Nick and Jeanette Kennedy who invited me to join the guild.
