Pin and sew. 13.Sew the Upper Sleeve Bias Binding to the sleeve seam. Fold the bodice and yoke illusion fabric away DRESS SKRT CONSTRUCTON: 17.Sew the placket to the skirt back. SEE DAGRAM "B". B.WRST sew the skirt front to the skirt back at the side seams. 19.Place the sliplunderskirt to the wrong side of the dress skirt. Keep the top edges even and sew two rows of gathering stitches across the skirt top. NOTE: To successfully gather three layers at once it would be best to zigzag over two rows of heavy thread(crochet thread). 2.Pull up gathering threads to fit the bodice leaving the center between the dots flat. Pin and sew skirts to bodice. SEE DRESS SKRT FRONT PA TTERN PECE. 21.Place the Upper Sleeve motifs on the sleeve. Hand stitch in place. You may use one longer motif in the center of the sleeve and a smaller one on either side of the large one. SEE PATTERN PECE. 22. Center the Lower Sleeve motif at the wrist area (it may extend slightly past the wrist crease). Hand stitch around the motif. 23.Hand sew a large motif to the bodice front. The bottom tip can extend down on the skirt front 3/4". 24.Sew nine snaps to bodice back spacing about one inch apart. 2S.Starting at the waist (using a double-strand thread) sew the Bmm pearls up the left center back. 26.Using un-waxed dental floss and starting at the bodice waist thread the dental floss through all the pearls. This will help keep the pearls in a straight line. ROSE CONSTRUCTON: 27.Fold the satin on the fold line. Sew the raw curved edges together with a serge or zigzag stitch. Sew two rows of gathering stitches on the curved side. Repeat for all roses. Pull up gathering threads to measure " for large roses and 9" for small roses. 2B.Start rolling up the rose whip stitching the bottom of the rose as you roll. Fold down the end of the rose to cover the raw edge when finished. 29.Fold 1/2" satin ribbon in half. Fold in a "V" shape and stitch down the ribbon at the "V" to hold its shape. Turn under each end about 1/2" and sew a snap at each end of the ribbon. Sew a snap at the center "V" point. Sew snaps to the bodice back to accommodate the ribbon snaps. The center "V" point snap will be at the center back skirt. SEE DAGRAM "CO. 3.Tack the three large roses in a "V" formation. Tack two small roses on either side of the top two large roses. Whip stitch the roses to the ribbon. SEE DAGRAM "e". 32.Put the dress on the doll. Find the center of the Shiffili lace. Starting at the center front of the dress skirt pin the lace to the dress bottom. The lace will just touch the "floor" at the skirt front then angle with the flow of the skirt at the sides and around the train. Over lap the lace at the center back to have an appearance of a continuous piece of lace. f the center back doesn't work find another location. Hand sew the lace and the lace overlap in place. Trim satin from behind the lace. 33.Position four motifs on the train. Hand stitch in place. Cut away satin fabric behind each motif. SEE PA TTERN PECE. PANTES CONSTRUCTON: (Waist Elastic 13") (Leg Elastic 81/2") 34.WRST sew the center front and center back seams. 35.Turn under the waist casing and sew leaving an opening for inserting the elastic. nsert elastic overlap ends and sew together. Close the opening with a machine stitch. 36.Turn under and sew the leg casings. nsert elastic anchoring the ends in the seam allowance. 37.WRST sew the crotchlinseam catching the elastic ends in the seam.
