1 G U I D E T O D I S C O V E R I N G Y O U R S T Y L E O F M I N I M A L I S M

2 This guide is designed to help you discover your own minimalism. Minimalism looks different for everyone. Only you can decide what is of importance in your space and life. It's very personal and oftentimes values based. Your responses may change over time which is perfectly fine. This is a great way to solidify what it is that you truly want out of this life change. Be honest with yourself! STEP 1 Home space 1. What EXACTLY do you want your space to look like? What theme, vibe, or sensation do you want from your home? 2. What aspects would your IDEAL day include? Exercise space, meditation, spa bath, office space.

3 3. What clutter in your home takes most of your time? A specific toy, soda cans, dishes, laundry, etc. 4. What items in your home are you guilt-hoarding? Things you are keeping only out of obligation or guilt. Generally a gift, hand me down, or expensive purchase. 5. What items in your home bring you the most joy and why? Could be a favorite towel, coffee mug, piece of art, etc.

4 STEP 2 Take back your time 6. What tasks make you feel overwhelmed and stressed? What parts of your schedule do you loathe or want to procrastinate with the most? 7. What are things that you wish you had time for? Hiking, the gym, playing with kids, family trip.

5 8. What is missing from your life? What goals have you had for years that would further your life purpose and happiness? 9. How much free space do you have worked into your schedule? Every healthy schedule should incorporate blank space or free time. 10. What do you want to be known for when you die? Life is made of moments. How we dedicate those moments is essentially our life. This dictates how people know us and what we accomplish in our life.

6 STEP 3 Where is your mind? 11. What are at least 5 things that are bothering you in your life? What are your 'problems'. 12. How do you handle your problems and how do they effect you? Do you get stressed, anxious, depressed? Is it people problems or technical problems, etc? What do you do about these problems?

7 13. How much time do you spend doing something for others (in a nonpaid capacity)? How much time do you spend doing things for yourself? Do you ever do nice things for others when not required and do you take time to do nice things for yourself as well? What percentage of your time is spent doing these things? 14. What are your limiting beliefs about yourself and your abilities? We all have limiting beliefs in multiple areas of our lives. What are yours in respect to your primary goals at the moment?

8 15. Now, do some research if you need to and write down the TRUTH that negates those limiting beliefs. Could be examples of things you've done previously or things you've seen other people do which negates your limiting belief

9 STEP 4 Let's Get Emotional 16. What are your biggest impulse temptations? A certain consumer item, a specific store, a food, anything. 17. Do you feel like there is an area where your emotions take control? Jealousy, laziness, anger, frustration, chasing highs, passivity. 18. What are you currently doing to manage your emotions? What can you incorporate to aid you in this area. Meditation, exercise, leaving the environment, a procedure, books, etc.

10 19. What would the PAYOFF be if you withstood these emotions long enough to experience the payoff? More energy, better focus in other areas, etc. 20. What behaviors and feelings can you choose to throw out in order to better experience the things in life that truly matter? Focusing and living with intent in every area of your life will give you greater power over your own life experience.
