6 A BIT ABOUT ME: Left my career in television to become a coach Was working full time in my business, building great momentum. Started to feel drained again like I had in my career. Took a massive step back.

7 INTROVERTS, HSP, EMPATH INTROVERT: Gains energy from time spent alone, processes internally (about 50% of the population) HIGHLY SENSITIVE PERSON(HSP): Sensitive nervous system, sensitive to sound/light/pain/etc (about 15-20% of population) EMPATH: Heightened awareness of the pain/emotions of others. May feel them as their own.

8 WHY COACHING? Coaching and working intensively with other people has many elements that appeal to introverts, HSPs, and empaths: Deep one on one connection with another person or small group; It s a skill that our heightened awareness, curiosity, and sensitivity do very well with, observing what others might not; Having a softer energy is very comforting to others; Online coaching in particular allows us to work from home; We are sensitive to the emotions of others, creating a safe and sacred space for them

9 CHALLENGES OF BEING A HIGHLY SENSITIVE COACH The overwhelm of juggling a business with jobs, families, kids. Putting yourself out there to promote your business and build your network Working with clients and trying not to take on their shit as your own Worrying about your clients in between sessions and hoping they are doing okay, doing the work, etc Questioning your skills as a coach, if you re any good, if your client is getting anything out of the session

10 CHALLENGES OF BEING A HIGHLY SENSITIVE COACH Not being present in sessions because so much is going on in your head Overthinking EVERY idea and plan, and then procrastinating on taking action Seeing your friends on social media sharing their work and seemingly doing so well while you re feeling just overwhelmed and exhausted Being concerned about adding to the noise of social media and the internet and wanting to run away and hide from it all Feeling upset when your program, coaching, posts don t get any response

Do you know that you aren t responsible for what they get out of sessions with you and what they do between sessions? Do you listen and engage with them? Or do you worry about what to say when they ve finished talking?

Give yourself time before and after sessions; Prepare and plan for your session; Create rituals to open the space up and close it; Step into the session and trust what comes; Send your client off with the true belief that they are capable to continue on without you (or your energy)

27 At first you ll want to work with lots of different people, mostly to discover who your IDEAL clients really are. And then you learn to say no.
