Any slight imperfections can be lightly sanded. Wipe with a damp cloth. Allow two to three coats of paint for a good coverage. Painting Instructions: Faces for both Santas Basecoat Warm Beige (Fleshtone). Float Terra Cotta (thin) in the eye sockets, and across his forehead just under his hood. Basecoat the eyes Warm White. The pupils are Soft Black with a Warm White highlight. Add a short line of Dark Chocolate in the crease line in the outer corner of each eye. Dry brush his 1

3 cheeks with a mix of Warm Beige (Fleshtone) plus Terra Coral. Add this to his lower lip also, after you re painted the beard. Beard, Mustache, and Eyebrows: Basecoat Warm White. Float Toffee in the creases, and around the outer area of the beard. Float Terra Cotta (thin) over some of the creases. Spatter very lightly with Traditional Burnt Umber. Tan Coat Santa: Basecoat Mink Tan. Basecoat the fur trim Rookwood Red. Mix equal parts Traditional Burnt Umber and DecoArt Staining & Antiquing Medium, and apply to all of the coat and fur area. Wipe away any excess leaving paint in the folds of the coat and pit holes of the fur. Drybrush Warm Beige (Fleshtone) over the coat for a slight highlight. Dry brush Deep Burgundy and then Cherry Red over the fur areas. Spatter with Soft Black. Pouch: Basecoat Charcoal Grey. Float Soft Black under the flap. Dry brush Warm Beige (Fleshtone) on the flap. Walking Stick: Basecoat Dark Chocolate. Tree: Basecoat the 2 lower branches Plantation Pine. The next two branches Hauser Medium Green, and the top branch Foliage Green. Mix equal parts Traditional Burnt Umber and DecoArt Staining & Antiquing Medium and apply in between the branches. Wipe away any excess paint if it runs down to the tips. Allow to dry and then dry brush Winter Blue on the branch tips. The tree trunk is Dark Chocolate. Shoes, Belt, and Mittens: Basecoat Lamp Black. Dry brush the mittens and shoes Grey Storm. Belt Buckle: Basecoat Grey Storm. No shading or highlighting. 2

4 Red Coat Santa: Basecoat Rookwood Red. Basecoat the fur Mink Tan. Mix equal parts Traditional Burnt Umber and DecoArt Staining & Antiquing Medium, and apply to all of the coat and fur area. Wipe away any excess leaving paint in the folds of the coat and pit holes of the fur. Drybrush the folds first with Deep Burgundy and then Cherry Red. Spatter with Soft Black. Basket: Basecoat Terra Cotta over the basket. Mix equal parts Traditional Burnt Umber and DecoArt Staining & Antiquing Medium, and apply over the basket. Wipe away any excess paint, leaving dark in the crevices. Allow to dry and then dry brush Marigold over the basket. The red package is Deep Burgundy, with a Williamsburg Blue ribbon. The green package is Hauser Medium Green. Shade Plantation Pine next to Santa s sleeve cuff, and next to the basket. Dry brush Foliage Green on the edge. Mittens, Shoes, and Belt: Basecoat Lamp Black. Dry brush Grey Storm on the mittens and shoes. The belt buckle is Grey Storm. Snowman: Basecoat Warm White. Float Winter Blue to divide his tummy and arms. His scarf is Tomato Red. His cap is Williamsburg Blue with a Warm White fur ball on top. His mouth is Terra Coral. His eyes and tummy buttons are Lamp Black. His nose is Tangelo Orange. The string attaching him to Santa s belt is Marigold. Finishing: Finish with several light coats of Americana Acrylic Spray Sealer/Finisher Matte. 3
